Crowning Connections – Teal Talk is a special segment of the Crowning Connections podcast that will put focus on Coastal Carolina University and all the school has to offer. Whether the discussion be focused on latest events, success stories or school history, the plan is to speak to individuals who have either had an impact on Coastal Carolina University or have been impacted themselves by CCU with the hopes that the message will help inspire and motivate the listeners to create goals for themselves and rise to the occasion in their lives.
Filmed in the beautiful West Zone of the Brooks Football Stadium, Teal Talk host Rob Clemons, Denielle Van Dyke and Cobi Williams had the honor of interviewing Coastal Carolina University's Vice President of Intercollegiate Athletics and University Recreation, Matt Hogue. Matt has been with CCU since 1997 and holds that his key to success is due to his willingness to 'answer the call' when the university had a need, from marketing, sports, broadcasting to administration.
Listen in as Matt shares stories about trademarking the Coastal Carolina University logo; discussing basketball, baseball and football; as well as his 25 years in broadcasting: 17 of which were as the "Voice of the Chanticleers" on the Chanticleer Sports Network.
Coastal Carolina Alumni, Alumni Association Board of Directors President and Strategic Account Specialist at Horry Telephone Cooperative Kevin Cox joins us in this episode of Crowning Connections: Teal Talk. He shares his love for the Coastal Community, his personal choice to stay local after graduation, and also how he has found ways through HTC and Coastal Alumni to meet his life's passion of giving back.
