Leftism truly destroys everything it touches — from the DOJ to Disney. But, for those who have eyes to see it, there is not only destruction coming FROM the Left right now. There is also destruction beginning to come TO the Left.
The enemy once again has overplayed his hand, and in doing so, has inadvertently set the stage for his own destruction.
A few years ago President Donald Trump called most of our mainstream news outlets “the enemy of the people.” This was of course met with outrage by those on CNN, MSNBC, and several major newspapers. They immediately complained that his words meant nothing less than a challenge against the 1st Amendment itself. But was this the case? Or were his words, while harsh, simply the truth stated plainly?
For the church in America today, plainly calling out others for the injustices we see them committing or condoning often seems harsh. But is this perception merely the fruit of a skewed understanding of how a follower of Christ is supposed behave?
Which one seems to be more serious about shaping the hearts and minds of the younger generation, the Left or the church?
The efforts being displayed by the Left are truly stunning to behold. From the curriculums of our education system to the productions of Disney, from the policies of our government to the peer pressure of social media, the answer seems painfully clear. They’ve out worked us, out spent us and out smarted us.
But this doesn’t mean they have won.
After touching on relevant headlines, Steve hosts a conversation with Andre Persun and Jordan Walker, to discuss how the church can address this situation and begin to turn it around.
“Disenfranchised” is defined as “the loss of voice and influence in the shaping of society” — basically, to be pushed out of the conversation.
It’s obvious that the church, as well as the average American in general, has been greatly disenfranchised by the political elites and government bureaucracies.
But have we made it too easy for them to push us out?
As followers of Jesus, we are called to pray… but what does that really mean and how does it play out in society?
There has never been a more important moment for the church to be sober-minded.
Will we be moved by fads and the ideology of the world? Or by the dictates of Scripture and the whisperings of the Holy Spirit?

Although it's been largely forgotten, a real democracy functions through debate. These days in America debate is commonly called violent, dangerous and harmful. This makes the democratic process unworkable. Debate is vital not only in politics though. Can any society, including the church, function in a healthy way when debate is not allowed?
Over the last several years there have been several court cases that demonstrate the way the lost world regards the people of God.
Jesus made it clear that part of the believer’s experience would be persecution. After all, “A student is not greater than his Master…”
But is there a way to avoid the persecution Jesus warned us about? Perhaps there is… but only through our failure to live honestly.
It is almost an automatic reaction to boycott a business or a brand when we become disappointed in its conduct. Sometimes this can be a very appropriate and very effective strategy to promote change...and other times, it is not. What makes the distinction?
