We try a tea from Vietnam, a country we had never tried tea from before, and the worlds strongest gin at 95%! ! (it was rather nice)

So we have made it to the end of season 3, already! We end the season on a Wild High with the Yunnan F.O.P. tea and Tosh Gin. Both full of lovely foresty and woody flavours, which has been a theme this season.

From Tarquin's Cornish Distillery, this is The Cornish Christmas Gin, made especially for the Craft Gin Club Advent Calendar. Full of lovely tonka bean and clementine citrus flavours with some spice to round it off.

GŴYR gin is full of strong fennel flavours, with an undercurrent of grapefruit and definitely takes you to the Gower coastline where it is made.

What do you find in a English country garden? Well, a lot of the flavours from Day 22's gin!
Cambridge dry gin is full of fresh botanicals found in the distiller's garden, and is flavoursome and reminiscent of walking through trees in blossom. A wonderful gin!

Trying my first ever American gin today on the shortest day, and it did not disappoint!
Packing a punch at 45%, Chemist American Gin is full of flavours from the mountains in North Carolina where it is created. Does not leave a burn however!

Today, for the first time in her life, Sophie got to try the taste of Whinberries, albeit in gin form!
From Batch Innovations, the Whinberry Gin is a twist on sloe gin with barrel age and is full of flavour.

Today we head away from the raging storm outside, to the beautiful land of the South of France with this Provencal gin!
QVT Dry Gin looks like Rose wine in a small bottle, and comes with many local botanicals. Perfect to escape with and dream of being back in the summer sun!

The tea this week is one neither Craig nor Sophie have tried, the very drinkable Keemun tea. Gin-wise, we try JJ Whitley Pink Cherry Gin which can be found in supermarkets easily. Both tea and gin are new and different to us both! We also find out the winner of the quiz and the last botanical to go in our own gin.

Sugar, no Spice, and all things nice! This week, we both try Matcha Tea for the first time, followed by two sweet gins; Pineapple Sherbet Gin and Manchester Drinks Co. BubbleGum Gin Liqueur. Between them, Sophie and Craig are both pleasantly surprised (and have a revelation!) with the natural and artificial sweet beverages.

Sophie and Craig try Craig's homegrown white tea blended with lemon verbena (please let us know if you have ideas for a name!), followed by the Mirabeau Rose Gin and Four Pillars Bloody Shiraz Gin. You learn how to grow tea, and more about different wines and growing methods. We also introduce you to Swear Care Bears (copyrighted by Sophie and Craig)

This week, our theme is Herbilicious with a herby tea and equally refreshing gin. We try Whittard's Marrakech Mint Tea, and for the gin we have the Lonewolf Cactus & Lime Gin. Sophie makes some top marks bridges, Craig imparts more knowledge and we find out about mint tea drinking culture and what makes a gin, a London Dry gin.

For our last episode of season 1, we named it tropical and ethical, covering both aspects you may not always find together, much like Gin & Tea! (I'm getting better at links)
Sophie finally tries Earl Grey Tea and gives her verdict, whilst Craig tries O.M.Tea - Island Vibes - Tropical Green Tea. Moving then to gin, Sophie has the wonderful Spit-Roasted Pineapple Gin by That Boutique-y Gin Company and Craig has Canaïma Gin with some Dash grapefruit soda water. A great way to round up the season!

This week's theme is Botanicals, and Craig drinks Rooibos (not from the tea family but in fact a legume) and Sophie enjoys a Rooibos blend which is good for digestion. Botanicals remain the hot topic for the gin, where Craig has the Edinburgh Gin 1670 Royal Botanical Gardens Gin and Sophie has one of her all time favourite gins; Warner's Rhubarb Gin!
(Sophie has now learnt that the Edwards part of Warner Edwards left and the name was later changed to reflect this)
