How do I foster this in my life? What impact can this truly make? Join us tomorrow for a life-changing conversation about this topic as we look at Acts 15:19-35
DIVISION. There's no such thing as conflict-free living. Where there are two (or more) people, there will be disagreements. It would appear that our culture lacks the tools necessary to work through divisive topics/issues. How are we to view conflict? What are the steps necessary to work through disagreements? How do we honor God and others in our differences? Join us for an in-depth discussion on this important topic as look at Acts 15:1-21.
ENDURANCE. It seems like some people can keep pursuing a dream/vision with unlimited energy. We're especially amazed with the spirit of perseverance in some when obstacles and opposition are present. What's the "secret" of such unthinkable endurance? What resources can we lean on to help us pursue the things we feel passionately about? What role does God and our relationships play in helping us persevere when we feel like giving up? Join us for this discussion as we explore Acts 14:21-28. We look forward to worshiping with you
WORSHIP. It's what we have been created to do. It's our deepest hunger and desire. The problem is that we don't worship God and worship things that do not satisfy or deliver on what is promised. Our greatest affection must rest in God. We have been created for Him. How do we fall short of experiencing our deepest joy in God? Why do we get lured away from finding our all in Him? What does proper and healthy worship look like? Join us for this thrilling discussion as we dig into Acts 14:8-20.
YO-YO. Many of us know the frustration that comes with the ups and downs of life. While we can't predict what and when life's unknown circumstances will hit, we can be spiritually and mentally prepared when they do happen. What can we lean on during life's uncertainties? How can we keep our spirit's anchored during those moments? What truths about God can we keep in mind for us to remain hopeful? Join us as we look at Acts 14:1-7.
HEART. What's going on in your heart spills over into your attitudes, actions, and behaviors. It's from our hearts that cause the rhythms of our lives...for better or for worse. No one knows our hearts better than God. What does your heart tell you about yourself? Does your heart match what you say you believe? How does God want your heart to reflect something more meaningful and eternal? Join us for a encouraging discussion of this topic tomorrow as we examine Acts 13:42-52
JUSTIFIED. The beauty of God's love is that He frees us, not on the basis of our performance, but on the basis of His provision. The state of our minds and our hearts are wrecked because we feel like we haven't done enough to free ourselves. The glorious announcement is that God brings peace to all who discover life in Him. What does this activity of God look like? What role do I play in experiencing God's love and acceptance? How does living in freedom practically play out in my life? Join us for a life-altering discussion of this topic as we dig into Acts 13:38-41
FAITHFULNESS. If we consider the timeline of history, we'll find a God who has been patient with His creation. While there have been numerous times in which humanity has veered from honoring Him and committed to His will, God still demonstrates faithfulness to all people, not wishing for them to perish but for them to know and love Him. How does history show us this? What specific events point to God's faithfulness? What should our response be to this gracious and merciful God? Join us for an encouraging discussion about this topic tomorrow as we look at Acts 13:13-52
MOVEMENT. There's nothing quite like being a part of something that is unstoppable and eternally significant. When we participate with God and His work here on earth, there comes an excitement and an assurance that what we're investing our time and treasures into is timelessly important. How is God moving in our world? What does His movement look like in our lives? How do we navigate hurdles when pursuing God's work? What assurances do we experience while partnering with God in His work? Join us for an important conversation about this as we look at Acts 13:4-12.
GUIDANCE. Most of us would agree that we frequently need wisdom and direction for the daily course of our lives. Too many of us know the pain of living our lives without intentional guidance for our journey. Where do we seek such wisdom? How do we differentiate between good and bad counsel? How does God impart wisdom to us and how do remain open to His guidance? Join us for a deep dive into this topic as we look at Acts 13:1-4.
GLORY. We have been created to give glory, not to receive glory. It's a dangerous life that pursues honor and praise in order to fuel our pride and enhance our self-worth. Unless God is the object of all glory, we will end up living empty and frustrated lives. What does this glory look like? Why does God deserve all the glory? What are subtle ways we try to get the glory? How can we live by giving God all of the glory? Join us for this important discussion tomorrow as we dig into Acts 12:18-25
LIBERATION. Too many people feel overwhelmed and powerless in their lives right now. It doesn't seem like the struggles or the opposition are diminishing. Take heart...God can deliver you! This is not presumption-based but promise-based confidence. How does God liberate us? What can we do while we are waiting for deliverance? How are we to understand our circumstances and situations in light of God's promises? Join us for a life-giving discussion tomorrow as we look at Acts 12. We look forward to worshiping with you
GENEROSITY. This is maybe the most significant way followers of Jesus live out their faith and demonstrate that their treasure is truly not of this world. What does it look like to live radically free from the love of money? How are we to recognize opportunities to bless others in need? In what ways can we prepare to be a place of radical generosity? Join us for a wonderfully liberating discussion on this topic as we unpack Acts 11:27-30. We look forward to worshiping with you
xSENT. Everywhere we go, we are sent. There is always a purpose and deep intentionality with the locations we find ourselves in 24/7. With God, there are no accidental encounters or unplanned destinations that He doesn't intend to use to speak to us and for us to be used by Him in. For many, an understanding of "sent-ness" is missing from our lives and impacting us negatively because we're unaware of the lives God wants us to be living. Want to know more about being sent? Want to rediscover the joy in why you're here? For what purposes has God called all of us into and what work has He called to partner with Him with? Join us for a life-altering discussion as we look at Acts 11:19-26
CHANGES. Majority of people don't like change. Yet, we must all learn to adapt and not lean on what's easy and comfortable in life. This is no more true than with our faith and spirituality. God is continually altering the course of our lives with new experiences and new opportunities to connect with Him and partner with Him as He works in our world. How set are you in your beliefs and understanding of spiritual things? Are you open to being challenged by God and changing the way you look at people and situations? How has a resistance to change prevented you from obeying God? Join us for an important dialogue on this topic as we dig into Acts 11:1-18.
RECEPTIVITY. Information is bombarding us at a constant rate. New ideas are presenting themselves to us daily. Not at all of this is helpful or healthy for our lives. What's popular or new oftentimes doesn't help us love God or others well. There are several truths God has already given to us that we have yet to embrace when it comes to living in community. Whether it be ignorance or reluctance, we expect God to give us more while we haven't been faithful to the little He's revealed to us. What has God shared with us? What does He expect of us in our relationships? What does He want us to be receptive to and to act upon in loving others? Join us as we dig into Acts 10:23-48
FAVORITISM. We all struggle with showing love and grace toward ALL people, but God never does. For a host of reasons, we choose those whom we'll be kind to, but God's kindness is shown to EVERYONE. What if we learned to live daily with a gracious consideration of everyone we meet? What kind of culture could we create if we looked past skin color, achievements, marital status, voting record, etc. and be welcoming and compassionate to all? What does God expect of us when it comes to people not like us? Join us for a culture-changing, life-altering dialogue on this topic as we look at Acts 10:1-23.
IMITATION. Some say it's the highest form of flattery. I'll say it's the highest form of worship. Simply put, God wants us to reflect His character in our lives. There's no greater way to live. And, there's no greater path to walk on and positively impact our communities. How can we imitate God in our lives? What does that look like specifically? How do we get the power to live lives like this? Join us for an encouraging time looking at Acts 9:32-43.
LIGHT. There is a light that the darkness cannot conquer. This is a light that cannot be produced by humanity alone but is a gift of God given to those who know Him so they can shine in the midst of the most difficult of circumstances. This kind of enduring light attracts some but repels others. How does this light come to us? What are the qualities of this light? What does this light reveal and why does the darkness try to diminish it? Join us for an encouraging message of perseverance and hope
PREPARATION. Life requires seasons of preparation, with many of those seasons being difficult and painful. Someone wrote, "It is doubtful whether God can bless a man greatly until he has hurt him deeply." Fortunately, these seasons won't last forever but they are extremely important for us to navigate if we are to learn and grow from them. What do these seasons usually look like? What lessons are important to learn in each stage? What has God promised us before, during, and after these chapters in our lives? How is God preparing you today? Join us for an insightful and encouraging discussion of this topic as we look at Acts 9:19-31.
RESTORED. There's no greater experience than to be given an opportunity for renewal in life and with relationships. The joy that comes as a result of being shown grace and mercy motivates us to live a life celebrating and showcasing what we've been through so that others can know the possibility of peace, hope, and a future with God and others. What's the deepest restoration a human being can experience? How do we participate in someone else's restoration? What are the ways we can dig deep into the beauty and freedom of our own restorative process? Join us for an encouraging dialogue about this topic as we navigate Acts 9:10-19
TRANSFORMATION. Every one of us experiences change in our lives and we're all being transformed into something. Honestly, some of us don't like what we're becoming. Sometimes the change we experience is due to choices we make but we don't fully understand. Sometimes the change is due to resisting something we know we need but don't really want. Why do we make the choices we do? Why do we sometimes avoid the change we desperately need? How does God interrupt our lives and show us what we need? What's the difference between life-deafening change and life-defining change? What does soul-satisfying transformation look like? Join us for this important discussion as we look at Acts 9:1-9.
APPOINTMENTS. Nothing happens by chance or by accident. Our connections with one another are orchestrated to point us to something beyond ourselves and ultimately to God. The internal longing of "deep calling to deep" is a discovery to love and be loved, to know and be known, and to accept and be accepted. Why are we in each other's lives? What are divine appointments? How should we understand every relationship we encounter? How are we to help one another root our relationships in God? Join us for a deep dive into this topic as we look at Acts 8:25-40
AUTHENTICITY. We crave relationships that are pure and genuine. God desires the same from us. While it may be easy to hide true motives and character from others, it's impossible to hide our true selves from God. The good news: He knows us thoroughly and still invites us into a relationship with Him. How are we to consider our true selves before God? What's the difference between real and false faith? What are some ways we can examine our hearts and enter into a more authentic relationship with God and others? Join us for this important discussion as we look at Acts 8:9-25
FRUITFULNESS. No one wishes for their life to yield nothing beneficial for themselves or those around them. Most of us reach a point when we reflect on our contribution to this world and wonder if what's left will be good, meaningful, and lasting. How do we properly assess our lives in light of present circumstances? How can we understand where we're currently at in life to be a moment of future significance? How do we seize every moment for clear perspective and preparation to be used by God for spiritual fruitfulness? Join us for an-depth look at this topic as we dig into Acts 8:1-8
CONTRAST. Different. Opposite. Unlikeness. Faith in God makes a difference in a life that is totally controlled by Him. Especially when trials and troubles enter into our lives. When one trusts in God during difficult seasons, there exists a contrast compared to someone who doesn't have faith. What fuels this difference? What does this faith look like? What anchors our souls during tough times? What marked differences are seen in our lives when we cling to God? Join us for a deep dive into this topic as we look at Acts 7:54-8:3.
PERSISTENCE. The God of the universe is continually trying to get our attention. More than that, He's aiming to capture our hearts. Whether it be through creation, conscience, or Christ, God is relentless in revealing His love toward us. History is simply the story of God bringing to Himself a people He wants to show mercy, grace, and kindness to. Do you know this God? Do you live in this relationship with Him actively? Or are you running from Him? How long will it be until you surrender and let Him catch you with His compassion? Perhaps you need to be reminded of His love. Join us to discuss the greatest love story ever told as we look into Acts 7:1-53.
STRENGTH. All of us experience the continual bombardment of pressures and difficulties that test our resiliency to maintain daily perseverance for living. Some know how to navigate these trying moments better than others. What is it that provides someone that core strength to stand when trials come? How can we find that determination to keep going when things are testing us constantly? What is the "secret" to long term devotion and dedication when all seems stacked against you? Join us for a discussion of this theme as we reflect on Acts 6:8-15
SERVING. This is perhaps the greatest act of love God has called each of us to. Since He Himself is a God who serves us, this ought to compel us to serve God and others selflessly and sacrificially. God didn't come to be served, but to serve and give His life. The good news: Each of us brings something valuable to the table in serving to bless God and others. What does this look like in our lives? What's your serving quotient? Where do we begin to consider serving? How do we even get in the game? Join us for this crucial discussion as we dig into Acts 6:1-7.
SERVING. There is something powerful in serving others. There is a peace-making aspect in our serving, in which conflicts and dissensions dissipate in the context of our serving and looking out for one another. Could it be that true community is anchored in us serving one another? Could it be that healthy relationships flourish when there's a solid foundation of us thinking of others as more important than ourselves? Is it possible that where there is serving, there is the absence of problems? Join us for a deeper discussion of this topic as we look at Acts 6:1-7
BOLDNESS. We need a conviction-based determination to make it through life. It's not a determination that runs over people, but a God-honoring boldness that reflects a lamb-like temperament with a lion-like tenacity. What does a healthy balance of this look like in our lives? What's the difference between healthy and unhealthy boldness? How does a God-honoring boldness act in the face of difficult people or circumstances? Join us for a deep dive into Acts 5:26-42
PRESENCE. God is actively and powerfully present in our world today. The evidence of His working is all around us. Yet, too many of us are blind to His activity in our lives and miss participating in what He wants to accomplish in and through us. What are some specific ways God is working? How can we learn to recognize His presence even more? In what ways can we cooperate with God in opening up more opportunities for Him to work in our world? Join us for a deeper discussion of this topic as we look at Acts 5:12-26.
HONESTY. Relationships thrive where honesty is encouraged and deceit is squashed. To fully and truly know and be known brings life-giving health and security to any community. Do we understand the severity of dishonesty? How do we guard against deceit and falsehood in our hearts? How important is truthfulness in all of our relationships? Join us for a deep dive into Acts 5:1-11
ENCOURAGEMENT. Who doesn't need a regular boost of this in their lives daily? Perhaps we've missed the importance that encouragement is not something we DO but something we ARE. True and deep encouragement comes from the kind of people God wants us to be. What kind of people breathe and live encouragement consistently? Where does genuine encouragement come from? What does encouragement look like in our relationships? Join us for a refreshing discussion of this tomorrow as we look at Acts 4:32-37
NEW. There's something beautiful, wonderful, and reassuring about something being brand new, without blemish and in proper working order. With newness comes confidence and assurance. This is exactly what God provides to us in JESUS and EASTER reminds us of this reality. Do you need to be reminded of the newness of LIFE that God offers? Are you in need of the HOPE that comes to those who embrace God? How can we prepare for the newness that God wants to bring into our lives on a regular basis? Join us for a look at this topic as we dig into Acts 4:32-37.
SURPRISES. Who doesn't like a good surprise once in awhile? It definitely keeps life interesting. We certainly need regular moments to shake up our monotony. What if the one surprising us was God? What if God makes it a daily practice to surprise us in unique and wonderful ways? What if God wants us to fine tune our spiritual understanding so that we can recognize Him in our daily routines? Join us tomorrow for a discussion about the surprising nature of God's Kingdom.
BOLDNESS (Part 2). We seldom get through life without being attacked, criticized, or mocked for what we believe. When people test our convictions and values, we find it difficult to find that steadiness of spirit and sense of a solid foundation needed to withstand such scrutiny. Where do we turn to to find that deep courage? How does God provide a daily stability for our souls as we encounter others who believe and behave differently? What attitudes should we model as we face opposing viewpoints? Join us for a practical discussion of this topic as we dig into Acts 4:13-31.
BOLDNESS. It's conviction and confidence mixed with lots of compassion. Too many people are bold without kindness and ends in broken relationships. Too many people are kind but lack boldness and the result is relationships with no backbone. What does a healthy balance of boldness and kindness look like in our world today? Why is boldness needed? Where does our confidence comes from? Why are certain convictions vital for our lives today? Join us as we dig into Acts 4:1-14
MULLIGAN. An extra shot. A bonus play. Another chance. All of us yearn for an opportunity for a do-over in this world. As we live our lives, we may feel that there are no more possibilities for another chance. With God, each day is a fresh moment to do what's right. This is called grace. And with God, there is unlimited grace. What is grace? How is grace shown to us? What should our response be to grace? If we open our lives to God's grace, what is promised to us? Join us for a deep dive into this topic as we seek encouragement for the journey in Acts 3:11-26.
ADVERSITY. No one is immune to it. It has a way of humbling us personally and compelling us to help others experiencing it. While adversity is sometimes visible, much more of it lies deep down inside our souls. How are we to understand adversity? What role do we have in helping alleviate adversity in others? What resources as God given to us to help navigate the difficulties that come our way? Join us for a look at this topic and get encouragement for the journey as we dig into Acts 3:1-10
CHURCH. For some, it means healing. For others, it means hurt. Many have given up on church but not on God. I want us to revisit the importance of the church. While the church may be imperfect in many ways, God has purposed it for so much more than we can ever imagine. Has the church become too institutionalized? Have we lost the organic nature of what it means to be people chasing God together? What practices have been embraced that have contributed to unhealth? What practices feed the health of this spiritual community? Join us tomorrow for an uncompromising look at the church as we look at Acts 2:42-47
FORGIVENESS. Too many people walk around with an internal burden of guilt that they don't know how to break free from. No matter what we try to accomplish and pursue, there is no escaping the reality of this bondage of the soul that is experienced. Is liberation possible? What role does God play in rescuing us? Is it possible to live a life of liberty and forgiveness? Join us for a life-altering journey into wonderful truths that we'll explore in Acts 2:37-41.
EMPTINESS. All of us have felt to longing for something more. We've even discovered that the things of this world can't deeply satisfy us or bring us the contentment we long for. This is an indication that we have been created for something more...or Someone more. God reminds us continuously that He wants to be our everything. Where do we go to fill our emptiness? How has God shown us that He wants to fulfill us? How does He become our everything? What does satisfaction in God look like? Join us for an important discussion as we dig into Acts 2:22-37.

Join us for an encouraging discussion of this topic tomorrow as we look at Acts 2:14-21
SUPERNATURAL. Every day things happen that defy explanation. There are happenings that occur that cannot be measured or reproduced. We can either embrace or excuse away these events as potential ways God is continually breaking into this world. Perhaps, the supernatural is most powerful seen and displayed in the lives of people that God has/is changing. What does supernatural activity look like? What does supernatural power point to? What's the purpose of God's supernatural work in our world? Join us for this encouraging discussion as we look at Acts 2:1-13
ESSENTIALS. Not everything we think we need is essential. Sometimes we get distracted and prioritize the urgent over the important. When we do that we feel un-grounded and we lack solid footing for our lives. How does God stabilize our hearts for daily living? When we're unsure of what to do presently or how to prepare for tomorrow, what resources does God give that can bring settledness and direction? What are the essentials for pursuing what's important? Join us tomorrow for an in-depth discussion of this topic as we look at Acts 1:12-26
ASCENSION. We celebrate Christmas. We celebrate Easter. But there's more. Ascension! God's work continues in our world today. Jesus is currently reigning from on high and still actively involved in our lives in ways that we're often absent-mindful of. What does Jesus' ascension mean for our world today and tomorrow? How can a heavenly perspective give us earthly power for significant daily living? What mindsets does God want to destroy in order for us to discover the fullness of His power? Join us for a life-changing discussion of Acts 1:6-11.
POWER. There's a power that this world offers and there's a power that God offers. The world's power is characterized by strength that is usually used for personal or political gain, oftentimes at the expense of another. God's offers a power to us that benefits us in the most important areas of our existence and it comes to us at His expense. It is freely given and deeply experienced. How does God's power come to us? How do we tap into His power in our daily lives? How is His power expressed in and through us? Join us for this spiritually rich discussion as we look at Acts 1:4-8.
VISION. It's a new year! What will you live for? While you may have plans for your life, God has bigger and better plans for you this year...and beyond! What does He have in store for you? What purposes has He created you for? How can this year be a year of contentment and fulfillment? Join us for a discussion of keeping the important things in perspective. We'll be diving into Acts 1:1-3
SELF-CONTROL. Each of us has confused laziness with grace. We have shirked responsibility over our hearts and embraced a journey toward the urgent over the important, the temporal over the eternal. Perhaps the one area in our lives that leads to more maturity and spiritual health is the discipline of exercising self-control. What is self-control? How is self-control developed and applied in our lives? What are the obstacles that prevent us from being a self-controlled people? Join us for this life-changing dialogue as we consider 1 Cor. 9:24-27
GENTLENESS. We know when we've encountered gentle people. We feel the grace and kindness in their connection with us and it makes us long for more people like that. Gentleness is something we look for and long for in our relationships with one another, because it's gentleness that helps smooth out the rough edges in our relationships with one another. No matter the difficulties, gentleness helps pave the way to health and wholeness. What is gentleness? Where does gentleness come from? How is gentleness produced in our lives? What are the obstacles that stand in the way of experiencing gentleness with one another? Join us for this important discussion tomorrow as we dive into John 8:1-11.
GOODNESS. What's "good" seems too relativised today. Every one of us has a different standard for good when it comes to music, movies, food, etc. that we like or enjoy. For more important categories, is there a more objective standard for good? What is good? Who is good? By what do we measure goodness and could we be missing substantial aspects of goodness that could make our existence more meaningful? Have we been short-sighted and can we recapture a sense of our purpose in pursuing good? Join us for a thought-provoking discussion of this topic tomorrow as we consider Ephesians 2:8-10
KINDNESS. It's the buzzword today. We recognize it's in short-supply. We feel the lack of it in our communities. We know humanity is suffering due to it's absence, even it's absence in our own practices. Where did it go? Could it be rediscovered? Is it more than a cool slogan we purchase on a shirt at a retail store? Can it be more than a once-a-year designated day of celebration? Where is it born and how can it be more impactfully lived out? Join us as we dive into Ephesians 5:29-32
PATIENCE. Do you tend to have a short-fuse or a long-fuse when it comes to your relationship to life, people, situations? If we're honest, most of us can get irritable and impatient too quickly. And, most of the time, we get upset over petty and trivial things. Ancient wisdom tells us the first necessity of learning is patience. Are you recognizing daily lessons in growing in patience? How can we cultivate patience in our lives? How do we identify impatience and what practices can we embrace to become more long-suffering in life? Join us for this important discussion tomorrow as we dive into James 5:7-12
PEACE. There's a peace that the world gives, that doesn't go deep or last long. We've all experienced that kind of peace have been left wanting more. Then there's a peace that GOD gives that is wonderfully rich and goes beyond our wildest expectations. God's peace isn't disrupted by our circumstances or situations. How does God's peace come to us? How do we cultivate this peace into our lives on a regular basis? How do we know we're digging into God's perfect peace for our lives? Join us tomorrow for an in-depth examination of this topic as we look at Gal. 5:22-23 and Matt. 6:25-34
JOY. Someone once said that joy is "the serious business of heaven." That makes sense in light of the fact that nothing can ultimately satisfy us this side of eternity. Perhaps we have been created for infinite joy and yet continually fall short because of our short-sighted desires and limited understanding of where joy is to be found. What if we've been designed to discover all joy in and through God? What if all of creation has been established as a sign post pointing to something/Someone beyond creation? Could all of our longings and experiences be used by God to ground us in a joy that never disappoints? How can we be joy-filled in our day-to-day living?
LOVE. Certainly, a word/concept that has a gazillion definitions. Turn on any song or read any novel and you get the picture. Yet, it's our self-understanding and self-focused pursuit of love that leads to disharmony, dissatisfaction, and disappointment. Our experiences only lead to a deeper hunger and longing for something better. Love was never meant to be relativized. What if there's only one way to truly understand LOVE? What if we were never meant to define love ourselves but it's already been defined for us by God? How do we move from places of slippery sentimentality to experiences of deep satisfaction? Join us for an important discussion as a look at Galatians 5:13-26 and other key verses.
PLANTED. Every person is a living, breathing work of the Creator. Every person is designed to walk with God, enjoy Him, and ultimately bring forth "fruit" that reflects that relationship with God and helps others flourish in community. When spiritual fruit doesn't grow, every relationship suffers. How does this fruit grow? What does this fruit look like? How do we honestly examine our lives in order to bring about greater fruitfulness? Join us tomorrow for this important discussion and discover who you have been created to be. Looking at Galatians 5:13-25
SHATTERED. We've all been there. Our hopes and dreams come crashing down. We don't know what happened or where we went wrong. All we know is that we're left with discouragement and disillusionment. Believe it or not, God has an amazing way to pick up whatever broken pieces there may be. How can faith be restored? What does God do to build back our lives? How can we walk the pathway toward hope and encouragement? Join us for a life-changing discussion of this topic as we look at Luke 24:13-35
RESURRECTION. It's not just for Easter anymore . Your life stands or falls with what you believe about resurrection. And this is not primarily about your resurrection, but about Jesus' resurrection first and foremost. The resurrection of Jesus is the greatest event and most defining moment in all of human history. What specifically happened? What are the facts? What difference does it make? How can we know it's true? Join us for an honest examination of this event and discover hope like you never thought possible. Luke 24:1-12 is where we'll be
EVIL. On this day, we reflect on a great act of evil perpetuated on American soil, against Americans. We take time to remember those who lost their lives and mourn with those who lost loved ones in this tragedy. How often have we asked, "When will the battle against evil end?" Amazingly, God has tackled this problem of evil and dealt with it head-on. God does provide a solution to evil and even provides healing to those hurt by it. What has God done to deal with evil? What is the essence of good versus evil? Why does God allow evil to take place? What remedy is there for the evil in our lives and in the world? Join us as we discuss this topic tomorrow as we look at Luke 23:44-56.
CALVARY. Familiar to many, deeply felt by few. It is a place of love. A location of forgiveness. A hill of hope. It's where God turns horror into healing. It is here God takes tragedy and reveals unstoppable triumph. Have you ever spent much time on the road to Calvary? Have you ever meditated on the final steps of Jesus? Have you ever stopped to consider the men and women at that location and what they experienced there? If you ever doubted God's love for you or may need to remind of everlasting hope, you may want to be encouraged with others as we reflect on Luke 23:26-43.
INNOCENT. Something we deeply do not feel in our souls. Our consciences speak to us something almost inescapably damning. We try to deny it, deflect it, or destroy it but our attempts are unsuccessful. Our guilt is burdensome and imprisoning. But it doesn't have to be. There is freedom and liberation for those who come to God. There is One, the Innocent One, who graciously becomes a substitute for the Guilty. In what ways do we ignore truth set before us? Why do refuse to accept spiritual freedom when offered to us? What does God do to lift the burden of guilt from our hearts? How is freedom experienced in God? We'll discuss this transformative theme as we look at Luke 22:63-23:25
TRAINWRECK. It's how many people think about their lives or this world. It's easy to draw that conclusion when it seems like everything is feeling apart within us and/or around us. We wonder if GOD even exists and, if so, what is HE doing. How does failure and disaster factor into our human experiences? Where is God when things to be unraveling? What greater purpose does God have in the seemingly destructive experiences in our lives? How does God salvage the "trainwrecks" of our lives? How do we discover MEANING and HOPE in the midst of these difficulties? We will discuss this as we look at Luke 22:39-62.
EATING. One of my many talents Deeper yet, food and our meals can have a deeply spiritual element to them. Jesus loved to gather with people, eat, and have amazing connections. The most famous meal in all of human history is The Last Supper. What we fail to realize is that The Last Supper contains all the truths we need for life and living. What do we tend to miss about this meal? What can this famous scene teach us? What does it mean for any of us to be seated at the Lord's Table? What about this supper can impact our lives on a daily basis? Join us tomorrow as we dig deeper into this event as we look at Luke 22:7-23.
JUDAS. The poster child for deceit and betrayal. A life lived so close to God and yet remarkable unchanged in deeply meaningful ways. His is a life in which he gave evil a foothold and control. While it's easy to judge at arms-length, perhaps our lives are not so different from his. What lessons can we learn from the life of Judas? How did Judas so miscalculate his life that he completely missed out on true spiritual riches? Are our betrayals beyond forgiveness or is there healing and restoration for those who sell God out? How are we to handle regret and loss in our lives? Join us for this important spiritual conversation tomorrow as we look at Luke 22:1-6
CALM. Take a deep breath. Slow down and keep perspective. It's difficult to experience calm when there's so much chaos around us. God reminds us continuously of His POWER over and PRESENCE in the midst of a world seemingly unglued. There are objective realities that can bring peace into our lives today and forever. What are these realities? How do we navigate the chaos? What brings calm into our souls? What does God want us to focus on when things are seemingly spiraling out of control? Join us as we unpack some wonderful truths guaranteed to change our lives as we look at Luke 21:25-38.
ANCHORS. We all need something to deeply stabilize us when the storms of life hit. This past year+ has shown us that what we thought we could trust in wasn't really that strong in the end. Do anchors even exist that can secure our hearts and souls in difficult circumstances? What are we to focus on, and even nurture, in our lives that will help anchor us in troubling times? What tools has God given to us to help us keep perspective in the midst of the storms?
PIETY. A word that means devotion, especially in spirituality. Unfortunately, we mostly hear of someone being "pious" in a negative context. Can piety be a good thing? The difficulty with evaluating piety is to determine the difference between external and internal MOTIVATIONS. What motivates me in my relationship with God? What motivates me in my love for others? What does my faith look like when no one is looking? What does a God-honoring, healthy piety look like? We're excited to dive into Luke 20:45-21:4 with you and praying for our time together.
AFTERLIFE. What we know and think about life after death will determine how we live our lives today and what we value as important now. Because we lack a compelling vision of our futures/eternity, many of us lack understanding and power to live the lives of joy and contentment that God has designed us to live. What are we to think of death? What does eternal life look like and how does the topic of resurrection factor into our understanding? How different will our lives be in eternity compared to our lives now? Join us for a life-transforming dialogue
GOVERNMENT. A polarizing topic indeed. Especially when you add GOD into the mix. We tend to think God and government are at odds with one another. We fail to have a healthy balance in understanding of the role government in our lives. With a lack of understanding comes a lack of respect and submission to government. What is to be our approach with this topic? What role does God want government to play in our lives? How might we impact our culture more positively with re-framing our understanding and discourse of God and government? Join us as we tackle this topic together tomorrow as we look at Luke 20:20-26.
EXPOSE. There's nothing hidden that won't eventually be brought into the light. While hiding seems like a temporarily good choice and a safe refuge, it cannot bring contentment and joy in the long run. We long to be found out, but fear it will be unpleasant and unsatisfying. God seeks to bring light to the darkness, health to the sick, joy to the discouraged, and truth to falsehood. How does God expose us without destroying us? What exactly does He expose within us? What does He give us that is better than what we've been trying to hide?
PEACE. Seeking after peace is an ever-elusive journey for most of us. It doesn't have to be that way. God gives peace, but not as the world gives. How do we access this peace? What does that peace from God look like? What difference does God's peace make in our lives? Join us for an important conversation about this topic tomorrow as we look at Luke 19:28-44
INVESTMENT. All of us have been entrusted with TIME, TREASURE, and TALENT. These things are gifted to us and are to be used ultimately to make a difference for time and eternity. How we think about the future will significantly impact how we "spend" those things presently. What have you been given? Do you think beyond yourself when using these gifts? How importantly does God factor into your day-to-day choices and activities when it comes to these things? What are you investing in now that will make a difference in eternity? To whom are we accountable with these items?
SEEKING. We seek after many things in our lives. Some more important than others. Oftentimes, we seek the most meaningful things in the most meaningless ways and end up frustrated. Things of value like spirituality, identity, purpose, and significance are sought after without knowing God and knowing others genuinely. We can end up with emptiness instead of fullness and misery instead of joy. How can we avoid a life of discontentment? How do we orient our lives to seek after things that bring lasting joy? What place does God play in discovering a life of ultimate value?
DESIRES. What would you have God do for you? What a question to consider! We have desires and God wants to meet those desires. Our joy and contentment is wrapped up in our relationship with Him and what He wants to do in our lives. How does this work? Do we truly know what we want? What desires does God want meet? What are the steps in asking and receiving? Do we even know this God that we're asking things from?
GOOD. A highly misunderstood word indeed. Why? Good seems to be relative to everyone, everywhere. This is the reason ideas, opinions, and worldviews clash. What is good? Who is good? Can there be many definitions for "good" in our world or is there one baseline of "good" that all must come into conformity with? Join us as we discuss this important topic tomorrow as we look at Luke 18:15-30. We look forward to worshiping with you!
MERCY. Pride and superiority do not make us a better community. Humility is the key to make us a more loving and accepting people. This is why mercy is critical. A true estimation of our own importance must be redefined by God in order to understand our relationship with Him and with one another. What is mercy and why is it a starting point for a satisfying life? How does receiving mercy and showing mercy lead to spiritual and relational growth? How does mercy lead to a justified life? Join us for a life-changing discussion tomorrow as we look at Luke 18:9-14.
JUSTICE. A term we hear frequently, but rarely understand the depths of it. Injustices takes place everyday. We're surrounded by instances in which things don't seem fair and we wonder where help is to be found. How are we to approach such situations? Where is God when it seems like injustice abounds? What is God's role in bringing justice to this world? What can we do to help to reflect God's heart for the lack of justice around us? Join us for this important discussion as we look at Luke 18:1-8
FUTURE. There is a guaranteed future for each of us. What that future will look like will be different for each of us. Who and what you put your trust in will determine if that future is glorious or ghastly. What can we know about the future? How can we leverage today to make tomorrow more hope-filled? What role does God play in our lives today and what does He promise for tomorrow? What certainties do we have for tomorrow? Join us for an encouraging discussion of this topic as we look at Luke 17:20-37
KINGDOM. Good Friday and Easter point us to a Kingdom full of joy and without end. What lengths God has gone to make sure you are a part of His Kingdom! But you have to enter it. Are you there? What does it mean to have Him as your King? What does His Kingdom mean for your life now and look like for the future? Join us for an eternally significant conversation as we look at Luke 17:20-21.
RESPONSIBILITIES. Many would be surprised to discover that God has given us specific spiritual principles to keep our relationships healthy and maturing. These are life-giving instructions that many people miss out on or don't practice and therefore end up in a stagnant and shallow relationship with God and with others. What does God expect of us to have authentic community? How are we to relate to one another for maximum growth? Join us tomorrow as we discuss this encouraging topic together as we look at Luke 17:1-10.
ETERNITY. How we live now will impact the life we will have in the hereafter. Too many of us have a limited perspective and don't consider the implications of how God wants us to live in light of eternity. What is the best use of our time, treasure, and talent in this world in order to make the biggest impact in the next? How does God want us to view today in light of tomorrow? How does eternity influence the way we see relationships with one another today?
POSSESSIONS. What we do with the wealth and stuff we have reveals so much about what we think of others and eternity. God says what we treasure is an indication of what we worship. This impacts all of us and says a lot about our priorities. Have you ever done a test to check your heart in this area? Have you ever stopped to consider who and what you're living for? What does wisdom look like with our finances? Join us tomorrow as we look at Luke 16:1-18.
PRODIGAL. A word that means "to generously and recklessly lavish." Most know the word from the greatest short story ever told but rarely we associate it with God Himself and His relationship with us. It's a reminder to everyone that while you may think of the many ways God couldn't love you, we're reminded of the many ways HE HAS loved and WILL CONTINUE to love you if you want Him. What an amazing truth that is ours if we accept it! Join us for a deeper discussion on this tomorrow as we look at Luke 15:11-32
FOUND. The deepest longing of every human being is to know and be known, to love and be loved. But with all of the criticism and condemnation that comes from outside and within, it's easy become impenetrable to any kind of intimate relationship with anyone. Yet, God knows us AND He loves us and meets us in the deepest places of our personhood. We also know He finds JOY in loving us deeply. Want to know more? How do we know this to be true? How does God approach us and love us completely and joyfully? Join us as we explore this amazing truth in Luke 15:1-10

EXCUSES. Benjamin Franklin once said, “He that is good for making excuses is seldom good for anything else.” There are major life commitments we cannot afford to make excuses for in order to escape from. The primary area excuses negatively impact us is our in spiritual lives. What God expects of us is usually excused away at the expense of unsatisfactory outcomes. Gladly accepting and following what God wants for our lives will lead to a satisfaction and contentment for our souls that cannot be experienced without Him. What excuses do we make that rob of us truly living life? How can we make better choices in light of eternity? Join us for an enlightening discussing of Luke 14:15-24.
OTHERS. I don't think you can fully enjoy LIFE until you understand the importance of being others-centered. With all the self-importance, self-obsession, self-absorption, and self-centeredness being paraded around us, it's a daily battle to consider others as more important than yourself. Yet this is the way to knowing God and loving God. Why do we find it difficult to think beyond ourselves? What beliefs hold us captive from loving others? What are practical ways to think of others more? Join us tomorrow for an honest look at Luke 14:1-14.
DECISIONS. It's fascinating to consider the choices we regularly make and why we make them. Not all decisions are equally important. Many times we get bogged down by focusing on the TRIVIAL choices and miss out on the TRANSFORMATIVE ones presented to us daily. What are the most important decisions any of us can make? How do these important choices make lesser ones easier? How does God direct us in our decision-making and what promises does He give us in making the best decisions? Join us tomorrow as we dive into Luke 13:22-35
FREEDOM. The greatest freedom any human can experience is the release from inner guilt, shame, and condemnation. While we all search for ways to free ourselves, only God can truly liberate. Even our relationships with others can't release us from spiritual bondage and can often lead to further captivity. Whether it's someone else's voice or our own inner voice, we frequently get buried in constant spiritual criticisms. How does the freedom that God promises take place in our hearts? How do we drown out voices that seek to further condemn? What does a path
SUFFERING. It's all around us. We've all experienced pain in our lives. We wrestle trying to understand why horrible things happen to us and those around us. Why does suffering exist in our world? Is there a purpose to suffering that we haven't recognized? How can we navigate the painful circumstances that have to happen to us and discover healing and wholeness that may be a part of those experiences? Join us for this pertinent discussion tomorrow as we dig into Luke 13:1-9
RESPONSE. The quality of our lives is based not so much on WHAT happens to us but HOW we respond to what happens to us. 2020 held some valuable lessons for us, but many missed out on those lessons because of wrong responses to various circumstances. 2021 will hold many more opportunities to learn, grow, mature, and flourish. How will this new year be different for us? How can we learn to recognize what God is doing around us and within us so that we can continue to become who God wants us to be? Join us for this important discussion as we look at Luke 12:49-59
FUTURE. As we prepare to exit 2020 and enter 2021, there is still so much that is uncertain in our lives. That uncertainty brings us fear and anxiety. But not everything future is uncertain and unknown. There ARE events that are GUARANTEED to happen and the question becomes: Are you ready? What are these future events? How can we prepare ourselves for the future? How does personal readiness for the future bring hope and peace to our lives? Join us for an encouraging end-of-year discussion that will help you make the most of 2021. We'll be diving into Luke 12:35-48
GOALS. People love setting goals for themselves for the new year. Many of you already have some goals in mind for 2020. Some of you haven't even started thinking about next year and any resolutions yet. Wherever you may be with considering 2020, let me encourage you with some things to think about. There are no greater goals than SPIRITUAL goals for your life. If we don't stop and cultivate our heart/soul/spirit, then nothing else we do or focus on will matter nor bring deep satisfaction to our lives. Here's the most important question we can ask: What does God want for me? Tomorrow morning we'll consider some RESOLUTIONS God desires for every single person. I will introduce some spiritual realities that will make this coming year the best yet.
JOY. This is not happiness. Happiness is superficial and fleeting. Happiness comes and goes as often as our highs and lows in life. But joy is deeper. Joy is rooted in realities far greater than past, present, or future circumstances. The fact that we're created to experience joy points to the experience of joy is found in the Joy-Giver. Christmas is about this reality. God came to earth so that we can rediscover everlasting joy! Can God be a joy-filled God? Is joy something you have lost sight of or haven't experienced in awhile? Is this a season that you're struggling to find this joy? Perhaps, you have never had permanent joy in your life and long for it? Where can this joy be found and how do we tap into it?
GRACE. If Christmas can be summed up in one word, it's grace. It is truly amazing to consider. Not only does God draw near to humanity that doesn't want Him, but He loves us all without condition. And then we learn that the gift is not just in the RECEIVING of life from Him but also in the REFLECTING of this life of grace to all. We exist in a world that is desperate for grace to show up and, yet, we are called to share that grace will all people, no matter their race, gender, vocation, political party, belief system, etc. Do you truly understand grace? Do you know how to live your life in grace? Do you know how to share God's grace with others? Join us as we look at this message of grace and consider the implications for our lives.
