We continue back to our We Believe series and open up to 1 Thessalonians 5. Pastor Darren encourages us by reminding us that Jesus instructs us to encourage and be encouraged by Him, His Word, His plans, and through Him.
We look at the warnings of the season that is to come when Jesus Christ comes back. We know that there is not a time given to us, but we can be sure that today we are one day closer to His return and tomorrow we will be even closer.
We look at how incredibly important it is, as Christ followers, to be awake, sober, and alert as His coming is soon and in 1 Thessalonians 5, it warns about those that are asleep. We are to be ready for His coming, not living in the world, but living for the eternal world that comes with Jesus.
This week, we looked at the past experiences of what evil and darkness in the world looks like, specifically in the time of Noah. We can look to the old and the New Testament to learn from past civilizations on what NOT to do and how NOT to live so as not to be left behind.
Such an incredible encouragement about the mercy, the grace, and the love God has for his children and the merciful warnings he gives. Since we are children of God and do not live in darkness, we can walk in the light and be awake to all that is happening to prepare our hearts and those hearts around us for His coming.

The We Believe series continues in 1 Thessalonians chapter 4 and encourages us to "see" and to wait for Jesus' return.
Paul writes that, "we believe that Jesus died and rose again" 1 Thessalonians 4:14 and that is everything to us as Christians. Pastor Darren springs off this to discuss the timeline of End Times and the importance of the rapture as Paul wrote about.
How much do we want to be caught up with Jesus? He himself says, "according to the Lord's Word--the Lord himself will come" (v. 15-16) Meaning, Jesus is personally coming for us. WOW!
The anticipation of waiting for this glorious day is something to watch for, to keep our eyes on Jesus, and to be spread the Gospel so that others can be caught up with us.
