Nataliya Cheema, a Practice Clinical Pharmacist for the Newcastle North Primary Care Network (NN-PCN) and Alex Zahorodnyj who is the Lead PCN Pharmacist talked to us about the community pharmacy consultation service (CPCS) service and how it can benefit patients.
The Podcast starts with Nataliya talking about the service from the PCN (Surgery) viewpoint for the first 3½ minutes of the podcast and then Alex gives his input from the viewpoint of the Pharmacy for the remainder of the episode

Dr Bradshaw explains about appointments at the Mount Road Practice and answers a number of questions including: -
- Why is it that I can’t always get an appointment with my named GP?
- Why is it that sometimes when calling for an appointment I get told there aren’t any, only to receive a call later saying that I can now have one?
- The different types of appointments that are available.
- Why can’t I always see the same GP?
- Which GPs are working on which days?
- Can I book a double appointment if I have more than one problem?
As well as some other key points including the extended hours appointment availability.
The content is very interesting and informative and we’re sure it will address many of the questions and misconceptions that people may have about the appointment process and what goes on in the background that influences the appointment process and availability.
