The Scattergun Podcast with hosts Derek Ham and Scott Thomas is a more modern take on just about everything outdoors and/or gun related including: hunting locally (US) and abroad, gun culture from all view points and opinions, camping, gear for hunting/camping, sport and gun dogs, land ownership/being a good steward to the land, conservation and more with the occasional subject matter expert guests thrown in.

Where have we been?! Busy! But we're back! In this episode of the Scattergun Podcast we talk about one of my favorite places in the whole wide world - Alaska! It's about to be Scott's favorite place because he's headed there shortly! But we'll also get serious (not really THAT serious) and talk about some new important gun legislation. We call this episode "Cool Hand Luke" not because we like the Paul Newman film - we do - but it's because we got to spend some time with an 11 year old named Luke whose cool demeanor and the understanding and respect he has for the outdoors and the animals he hunts goes far beyond what a typical 11 year old can grasp. Our "Cool Hand Luke" is special and so is this episode so we hope you enjoy it!
