We all face discouragement from time to time. It causes us to shop showing up and blinds us to opportunities. In the face of discouragement we can either give UP on God or give IN to God. This message takes us through how exhaustion, frustration and fear causes discouragement. Yet all of these can be overcome. Don’t give up. Take a breath; keep your eyes on the goal and be refreshed in the Lord.
The Kingdom of God is in us. His will should be done on earth as it is in heaven. How? By us! He has imparted His divine nature in us the strengthen and guide us. Let’s shift our identity from our former selves to who we now are in Christ. The more we become established in our righteousness in Christ, the more our behavior will fall in line with it. That is how we can apply the power of God to our everyday lives.
One thing you can depend on is that God has gone before you. Even when we pass through a dark time, He is with us to bring us out on the other side. God hasn’t called us to run from darkness but to invade it. He empowers us to turn impossibility into possibility.
The Lord has given us this prophetic emphasis and theme for the year to encourage us. When God speaks He creates. With this word He speaks love, joy, hope, restoration, and empowerment into our lives. Allow Jesus to be your shepherd and carry your burdens. He doesn’t want you to lack any good thing.
Being nervous at the start of a new year is to be expected. Worrying about tomorrow will not change it. But we can do something about it. What we do today bears a harvest in future. By keeping faith in the Lord, praying about everything and sowings positive seeds we have something in our hands that will change our tomorrow.
Jesus came to be with us in person. This is what makes Christmas special. He brought a message to the world and that message now resides in each of us who belongs to Him. Jesus Christ is good news to His core. This connects us to joy. And He’s given us a promise of eternal redemption. He is coming back. We are not just hanging on for dear life until the end. We have joy and we have a message. Let’s share it with the world.
Humanity was doomed and only a massive intervention could change our outlook. Then Father God sent Jesus Christ to be born into the human race. This message from Hebrews 2:14-18 digs into why He had to come, what He accomplished and what that personally means to each one of us.
In many ways, the restrictions of living through a pandemic have left their mark on our thinking. We can become so caught up in wrong beliefs that we end up ineffective. God is not the author of fear and He doesn’t want it for His children. It is the enemy who wants so paralyze us through fear caused by doubt, unbelief, worry and rejection. Be encouraged to keep your eyes on the Word of God and His truth in order to live in faith instead of fear. Wherever the spirit of God is, there is liberty.
Fighting is traumatic to the human body so we tend to avoid it. Yet there is a fight that the Bible calls ‘good’ and instructs us to engage in: the fight of faith. This is necessary because we have a relentless enemy that wants to destroy our confidence in the Lord. This message digs into three things that we can practically do to guard and build our faith.
In this life storms are inevitable. They hit all of us – believers and non-believers alike. How we weather the storm depends on what we’ve build on: rock or sand.
