In this episode, I travel to Gurugram, India to a ITF W35 tournament and got the chance to interview the director of the tournament, Vishal Uppal. Vishal has a long list of accolades including representing India in Davis Cup, former captain of India's Fed Cup team, captain of India's Junior ITF team, winning an Asian Games Medal, and founder of the Tennis Project where we are located, a project that was started to give more Indian tennis players better access to international level tennis.

We talk about his tennis experience as a player, coach, and director along with some cool stories when he was playing tennis back in the day. He also goes over how he got approved to run ITF sanctioned tournaments and his involvement in Indian tennis. Pleasure to have the opportunity to speak with you, Vishal. Cheers!

In this episode, I travelled to Newport, Rhode Island to the International Tennis Hall of Fame to play a pre-qualification tournament in which the winner receives a wildcard to the qualies of the ATP 250 Hall of Fame Open. I had the opportunity to interview the Director of Tennis, Bill Mountford, who oversees all the activities at this stunning facility.

He talks about a bit about his upbringing and career path, the daily operations of running this facility, the Hall of Fame Open, and some couple dumb questions at the end. This is one part of my Hall of Fame Series so go to YouTube to check out all the videos!

In this episode, I travelled to India to meet my good friend and professional Indian tennis player, Sharmada Balu. I met her in Gurugram, India where she was playing a Women's ITF35 tournament and got to play and interview her before she had to leave to her next tournament and I go to the Delhi Open.

Sharmada has a rich story filled with ups and downs, twists and turns as she navigates the professional tennis landscape AND life for a few years without tennis. She is one of the most genuine, exciting, and nicest people I know and its a honor to have her as a guest. She talks about her rise in her tennis career, hitting the tour at 17 years old, her nasty injury that took her away from the game, the break she took for the last few years before returning to the professional circuit and more!

In this episode, I interview Tristan Boyer at the ATP Challenger event at the Delhi Open. Tristan answers some questions before he goes up against Geoffrey Blancaneux in the semi finals. In this laid back interview, Tristan is regripping his racquets, stencilling them, and gearing up for his match.

He unfortunately lost his match 6-3 6-4 and we take the post match interview from the restaurant before he had to go to the airport for his next destination.

In this episode, I get a few minutes with the greatest wheelchair tennis player of all time, Shingo Kunieda! We talk about what he's been doing since he retired a couple years ago, how he got started playing tennis, his toughest challenge in his tennis career, and his final achievement winning Wimbledon in 2022.

Kunieda has won 23 singles Grand Slams, 27 doubles Grand Slams, and has 9 Paralympic medals, making him one of the most accoladed athlete the sport has ever seen. Kunieda's impact extends far beyond the tennis court. He is a tireless advocate for disability rights and inclusion, using his platform to raise awareness and inspire others to overcome adversity. His resilience in the face of challenges serves as a beacon of hope for individuals facing similar obstacles, demonstrating that with perseverance and determination, anything is possible.

I ran into him at he Miami Open on one of the side courts as he was practicing for an exhibition match. Huge honor to have him on the podcast. Cheers Shingo!
