The World Games take place this July a year after they were supposed to be held. The International World Games Association (IWGA) president is Jose Perurena, a former canoe sprint athlete, who represented his native country of Spain in the 1968 Summer Olympics. In this episode of the Sport Intern Special we speak to one of the trail blazers from the world of athletics. Pauline Davis-Thompson set the standard for sprinters from her island of the Bahamas. At her fifth Olympic Games in Sydney 2000, she inspired her team known as the Golden Girls to win the gold medal in the 4x100m relay final.
