In our last episode we spoke about the lymphatic system. Which is important to understand as its the sewer system of the body. But what are other ways to help clients systems repair? Kambo is an interesting support item of our bodies.
In this episode we dive deeper into Kambo and its benefits. What is Kambo? It is the secretion from a frog in the Amazon-giant monkey tree frog or Phyllomedusa bicolor. It contains a lot of beneficial peptides.
These peptides have been studied for their therapeutic effects for HIV/AIDS, autoimmune disease, STDS, Hepatitis, Herpes, Alzheimers, Parkinsons, Skin and eye issues, Chronic pain relief, Depression, Anxiety, Digestive Issues, Infections, Chronic Fatigue, Migraines and more.
Kambo can be helpful for a couple things that coaches are unaware of. Great for reducing chronic inflammation, as well as for treatment of candida and other infections.
It is also a potent detoxifier. The neuropeptides are beneficial for calming the nervous system. It can also support treatment of depression, anxiety and migraines.
In this episode of The Stress-Reduced Fat Loss™ Podcast Ken Sylvan interviews his friend, long time previous business partner and now Trauma-informed Medicine Guide/Advanced Kambo Practitioner Bharat Oza. As they discuss, why Kambo is an important practice for coaches to explore, when working with clients.

As more and more coaches move to the online space, learning how to respond to DMs, comments or questions is vital. More importantly, moving clients from a simple question to becoming a client of yours does take some skill. If done incorrectly, your business can slow to a halt.
Speaking to clients in the online space isn't too different from on the gym floor. Getting to know them and what they are struggling with or want is step one. This allows you to speak to them appropriately. As well as allow them to get to know you.
As a coach, it would be ideal if clients came in, said hello and asked for the payment link to sign up for your program. But if your DMs are busy, you know this is not the case. There is a percentage of clients that are ready to go with their first DM. But most will be inquiring about services and prices. So they will need a some interaction first.
Compliance with nutritional plans rarely fail because of the information presented, but usually lies in the coaching around habit and lifestyle changes. If a client has never been on a structured nutritional regimen and are use to choosing food and meals on the go or in the moment, you will need to coach them to success.
Most coaches struggle getting clients into their program and out of DM questions because, they are not taking the time to nurture the client and solve the problems presented. As well, their process isn't clear. Which can create more hesitation for the client.
In this episode of The Stress-Reduced Fat Loss™ Podcast Ken Sylvan and Bharat Oza breakdown 4 quick tips that you can implement right away when dealing prospective clients in the online space. As well as how to take prospective clients (who are just asking questions) and turn them into happy clients.

How many times have you heard a client complain of feeling bloated?
Experiencing a distended, painful abdomen area is highly uncomfortable and can be quite embarrassing for anyone.
Most people who struggle with bloating will reach for Tums, Pepto, bubbly drinks, take meds, or just put up with it. We live in a world of fast prescriptions and bandaid solutions, but this doesn't get to the root cause of what's causing the bloating and it will most likely continue to be an issue.

Does this sound familiar: Your client is training hard and seems to be following their meal plan pretty well.
... but they have a tire of fat around the belly that won’t seem to budge.
This client always comes in with a coffee, has a stressful job, kids, and often talks about feeling tired.
It’s time to take a look at their sleep habits.
Sleep is probably the most overlooked aspect when it comes to trainers and their clients.
But it plays an ENORMOUSLY critical role when it comes to health and the ability to lose weight and lose fat.
If your client feels tired, but their mind won’t turn off, they are most likely GABA deficient. 9 times out of 10, when a client struggles to fall asleep at night - they are GABA deficient.
GABA is a neurotransmitter naturally produced by our bodies, and it’s responsibility is sending calming messages from the brain to the nervous system.
Again... we can’t stress this enough ... FAT LOSS WILL NOT HAPPEN until your client is getting consistent, quality sleeps. This means falling asleep quickly (ideally much before 11pm) and staying asleep all night long.
Some things that you can start recommending to help improve sleep:
• no caffeine / stimulant drinks after 1 pm (caffeine can stay in the body longer than 6 hours)
• turning off electronics an hour before bed and getting them out of the bedroom
• implement a consistent wind-down routine that helps with your brain’s “it’s time to calm down” signalling. A consistent bed time hour and routine, as well as a consistent wake up time, will help.
• recommend 2 or 3 magnesium; 2 during dinner and 1 with tea or small snack around 7 pm (this may have to be adjusted).
• finish the last meal/snack before 7:30
We teach our Transformation Mentorship students how to assess for GABA, as well as other neurotransmitters and hormones that have key affects on health and fat loss.

Getting healthy or losing weight can seem complicated when a client is dealing with many unwanted symptoms. We always recommend that our students focus on foundational and essential action steps before creating any complex protocols.
In this episode Joe and Sara talk about 3 essential and very under-looked techniques to boost your clients health:
Breathing before meals
Remove water from meals and only drink between meals
Chewing food properly
Simple right?
But how many of your clients know how to properly prime their digestion while eating. Digestive issues are most prevalent in people who struggle to feel good and lose weight. Optimize digestion and you will start to bring homeostasis back to the body.
The best thing about this approach is that your clients are already breathing, chewing and drinking water - you only have to teach them how to do it right!
Listen in to this episode to learn why these 3 things are so essential and how to start implementing with a client right away.

Water quality is probably the most underrated key to fat loss and optimal health.
If you or your client is not drinking filtered, high quality water, their liver will continue to be backed up, skin issues will continue, and their bowels will slow.
This happens because without filtering tap water you could be ingesting discarded birth control and other medications, rotting food particles, bacteria, plastics, chemicals from bathroom products, and so many other toxins found in community tap water.
Suggest a good quality filter (not Brita).
A Santevia pitcher or Berkey are great options. Alkalinity and added minerals are important qualities in choosing a water filter.

Calories in & calories out is a secondary thought when it comes to losing body fat, especially on the lower half of the body for women. Chemical load and detoxification of estrogen should be the primary conversation.
In this episode Bharat & Sara discuss the chemical industry & it's evolution into most of our food, household & beauty products. When it comes to lower body fat, especially around the hips and thighs of a woman it's important to understand that the hormone estrogen is primarily responsible for this site.
If it appears that a woman is struggling to lose body fat in their lower half we must look at 2 things: estrogen dominance from natural production or most likely these from synthetic chemicals, along with estrogen detoxification from the body.
Join Bharat & Sara in this episode to help you understand how synthetic chemicals from every day products and food result in a backed up detoxification system and the body storing chemicals in fat cells.

Macronutrient ratios of carbs, fats & proteins has been a huge topic of conversation within the weight loss industry over the past decade & rightfully so. They also have their place in holistic transformations but not in the common way, from a calorie perspective.
When looking at a client's health goals from a holistic perspective we must consider genetic lineage and a concept called Primal Pattern Typing.
In this episode Bharat & Sara discuss the immigration patterns of North Americans & the disruption of cultural macronutrient ratios. This disruption has led to a society eating in ways that their genetic make up may or may not handle well.
Any disruption in the bodies natural processes results in STRESS; a state of fight or flight. When the body operates in this state for a prolonged period of time, health declines, weight loss is difficult and ultimately a persons vitality will diminish.

In this episode Ken & Sara talk about the importance of having meat in a diet but also when there can be symptoms the body is expressing, telling us not to eat meat.
There is rarely a black and white answer to anything when it comes to the individual bodies that we have and all the variables happening to each of us on any given day. Our role as coaches is to gather as much information as possible about a client and their symptoms, in order to make the best decision.
In most cases the body needs a fluid approach to health and healing, not strict containers that we must live in day in and day out.
