Plus, we're taking live questions while streaming, so join the conversation!
Welcome to Walking Our Path, the podcast where we explore meaningful topics while going on a walk together. In this episode we’ll be diving into an important subject - using breathwork to navigate heavy emotional states like depression, burnout, and grief. This episode is a little different from the typical quick-fix advice you might hear in wellness circles.Through my own experiences with these struggles, I’ve learned that there’s no one-size-fits-all breathwork technique to "fix" these feelings. Instead, breathwork can serve as a tool to help us connect with, and move through, these emotions rather than avoid them. Together, we'll explore how simple breathing practices can help you find calm and safety in challenging moments, without expecting immediate solutions. Let's walk through this journey of healing, breath by breath.
In this episode of Walking Our Path, I'm reflecting on embracing life's challenges while walking in Nuuksio National Park, Finland. Amid nature, I'm sharing an analogy: the beauty of the lotus flower, which requires the mud to grow, symbolizing that our most beautiful traits often arise from our darkest moments. I recall a visit to a burnt forest where new life flourished, emphasizing nature's constant transformation. This insight applies to human experiences, where hardships foster personal growth and resilience. I'm encouraging you to appreciate both the beauty and the struggle, acknowledging their interconnectedness and the cyclical nature of life.Walk with me as you listen to this episode of Walking Our Path.#EmbraceTheDark#NatureWisdom#LifeLessons#NoMudNoLotus#SpiritualGrowth#MindfulnessWalk#NatureMeditation#OvercomingStruggles#FindingLight#CycleOfLife

In this video, I talk about how you don't necessarily need a formal breathwork practice to reap the benefits of breathwork. As a breathwork teacher, I know the importance of a formal practice, but I've found that an informal practice can be just as effective in everyday life.
I discuss how informal breathwork practice involves understanding how your breath can influence your state in the moment and using specific breathing techniques to navigate through life's challenges. I also share some examples of how I've used breathing techniques to improve my sleep, digestion, and focus throughout the day. Whether you're new to breathwork or a seasoned practitioner, this video offers practical tips on how to incorporate breathwork into your daily life.
Hi there!
In this video, I discuss the dark side of goal setting and why it may be time for you to stop setting goals. While setting goals can be a powerful tool for personal development and achievement, it can also lead to a spiral of negative self-talk and self-doubt. Many of us set goals based on past trauma and feelings of lacking or self-hate, which can ultimately lead to a never-ending cycle of reward addiction and external validation.
I share insights from my experience working with high achievers, including CEOs and Olympic athletes, who often struggle with this same pattern of motivation. By examining the true motivations behind our goals, we can start to set goals from a place of self-love and enjoyment, leading to a more fulfilling journey towards personal growth and achievement. So, if you're a motivation junkie or self-help enthusiast, this video is for you.
In this episode, I'm going to share with you the difference between functional and dysfunctional breathing. As a breathwork biohacker, I often get asked what is the right way to breathe and what is the wrong way to breathe. But the truth is, there is not a one-size-fits-all answer. It depends on the situation and what your body needs in that moment.
I'll explain why mouth breathing, fast breathing, and chest breathing can be both functional and dysfunctional depending on the context, and how to recognize signs of dysfunctional breathing in yourself. By understanding functional breathing and dysfunctional breathing, you can learn to build a better relationship with your breath and use it as a tool to manage stress and improve your overall well-being.
Hey there!
In this episode, I discuss a commonly made mistake in breathwork that both teachers and practitioners often fall into - relying too heavily on techniques and methods. While I do teach breathing techniques and methods, I stress the importance of understanding the core principles that underlie them. Often, people find a technique that works for them and stick to it, thinking it's the best one. However, this can lead to disappointment when the technique stops working or becomes unpleasant over time.
I explain how following techniques and chasing methods can be a downside in breathwork as it can limit your understanding of the practice. Instead, I encourage viewers to take a technique, break it down, and use it to gain a deeper understanding of the core principles of breath. By doing so, you'll be able to learn how breath works, why techniques work in certain situations and not in others, and gain a deeper understanding of breath physiology and anatomy.
In this episode, I'm sharing some essential tips for choosing the right breath coach for you. As the Breathwork Biohacker, I've seen countless breath coaches out there, but not all are created equal. With the rise of quick-fix certification programs, it's more important than ever to know what to look for in a competent, knowledgeable, and safe breathwork instructor. I'll dive into the red flags to watch out for, the questions you should ask potential coaches, and why understanding the physiological principles, trauma-informed practices, and contraindications are crucial for your breathwork journey.
Join me as I guide you through this vital information to ensure you find a breath coach who can safely and effectively help you experience the powerful benefits of breathwork. Don't forget to share your thoughts or experiences in the comments section of this video on youtube, and if you find this episode helpful, make sure to give rate this podcast with 5 stars. See you in the next episode!
Hey there!
In this eye-opening video, we dive deep into the world of coaching and tackle the question: Are there too many coaches? We discuss the quality of coaches, the importance of competence, and the true essence of what it takes to be a successful coach. With people struggling more than ever with mental and physical issues, we break down why there is a massive gap between those in need of help and the growing number of coaches.
In this video, you'll also learn the two critical elements to building competence and becoming a truly effective coach. We'll explore the importance of doing your inner work and how to gain experience by providing real value to others. If you're a coach, aspiring to be one, or simply curious about the coaching industry, don't miss this revealing video! Are you tired of feeling groggy and unfocused after lunch, even when you've eaten a healthy meal? In this video, I'll reveal a simple breathing life hack that can help you beat the post-lunch slump and boost your afternoon energy. As a breathing facilitator, my goal is to help people live better with breath as the ultimate tool for achieving the results they want in life.
In this video, I'll share the science behind why we experience these energy crashes and how the power of breath can help us overcome them. Join me as I discuss the roles of the sympathetic and parasympathetic nervous systems and how they affect our energy levels throughout the day. I'll demonstrate a few easy-to-follow breathing techniques that you can incorporate into your daily routine to help you transition into a parasympathetic state for better digestion and increased energy. Give this method a try and see the difference it can make in your life! Don't forget to like, comment, and subscribe for more tips and techniques to live better with the power of breath.
In this episode, I share some insights on the common mistake of chasing numbers when practicing and teaching breath work. While there are measurements that can be used to quantify breath, such as retention time and CO2 tolerance, the downside is that people often turn these numbers into goals and start chasing them. This can lead to neglecting the present moment experience and focusing solely on reaching a certain number, which is not the point of a breathing practice.
I explain the difference between goal orientation and process orientation and how it relates to breath work. Instead of using these numbers as goals, they can be used as in-the-moment measurements to help build a stronger relationship with the body and understand how various lifestyle factors can influence breath. By following the numbers inside the body, we can gain a deeper understanding of how breath influences every part of our life and start to move towards mastery.
In this episode, I talk about the most common mistakes people make in breathwork, specifically focusing on the dangerous habit of chasing the high. I share my experience and knowledge on how practicing breathwork solely to achieve this intense state can actually be detrimental to your health in the long run. I explain how hyperventilation and intense breathing can be a shortcut to experiencing a mind-blowing sensation, but it can dysregulate your breathing, weaken your resilience to stress, and cause negative effects. Instead, I suggest seeking out calmer, more subtle breathing practices that allow you to get deeper into your body and reach even more profound states.
Join me in this episode to learn about the downsides of chasing the high and discover other ways to achieve strong and intense breathwork experiences.
In this episode, I discuss why you should stop trying to breathe better and instead focus on living better. As a breathing coach, I have come across many individuals who seek to improve their breathing, but what they truly want is to live a better life. So, I explain how we can use breathwork as a tool to help us live better and achieve our goals.
I go on to talk about the importance of understanding our core values and how we can align our breathwork practice with those values. I also share some real-life examples of how breathwork can help individuals overcome emotional inhibitions, resolve old traumas, and improve their overall quality of life. If you're interested in optimizing your breathwork practice and using it as a tool to live a more fulfilling life, then this video is for you.
In this episode, I discuss one of my favorite practices for self-evolution, which I call "microdosing death." This practice involves creating little moments throughout the day that remind you of the finite nature of life. For some people, the thought of death can be depressing and create a lot of suffering. But if fear of death is a big thing for you, as it used to be for me, this practice can help you gain clarity on what is most important in your life.
By consciously reminding yourself of your impending death, you can gain a sharper focus on the things that are most important to you and start to live each day with more intensity and awareness. It can help you align your actions with your true purpose and make the most of the time you have. I offer different timeframes for reflection, such as what if today were my last day or what if I had 100 years left to live. I also suggest incorporating the breath as a way to create mini-moments of remembering the fragility of life. If you have any experience with this practice or questions, please leave a comment below.
Hey there! In this episode, I dive into the world of conscious breathing and how it can make us better parents. As a father of two, I understand the challenges that come with being a parent, but also the incredible rewards. By learning to relate to our parenting in a different way and having more respect for our own nervous system, we can become better role models for our children. Breathwork is a powerful tool that can give us access to our subconscious and help us regulate our emotions in difficult parenting situations. By using simple breathing techniques, we can downregulate ourselves and invite our children to co-regulate with us, ultimately leading to a more harmonious and healthy relationship. In this video, I share my own experience with breathwork and offer practical tips for incorporating it into your parenting toolkit.
Do you struggle with stress and anxiety? In this video, I'll show you how to use your breath to lower your levels of stress and anxiety. When we feel anxious or stressed, we tend to experience it mainly in our head with rampant thoughts, projecting into the future and worrying. However, anxiety also manifests itself as a physical sensation in our body. To hack into anxiety with your breath, you need to become aware of it and turn towards it. Don't try to numb or run away from it. Instead, turn towards your body, look inward, and ask yourself, "What state am I in?" When you notice your anxiety creeping up, start controlling your exhale by inhaling through your nose and slowly exhaling through pursed lips. Lengthening your exhale can stimulate your vagus nerve and activate the parasympathetic nervous system, which helps your body to recover, relax and rest. By controlling your inhale and exhale, you'll start to gain control over your anxiety and stress. The simple exercise of lengthening your exhale can take just a few minutes but can be incredibly effective in helping you feel less anxious and more in control. So, the next time you feel stressed or anxious, take a deep breath and start to control your exhale.
In this episode, I share my thoughts on the future of artificial intelligence and its impact on humanity. As AI technology advances and takes over many tasks that humans once did, it begs the question of what makes us truly human. While AI may be better than us at many things, it can never replace true human connection and imperfection.
I discuss how the rise of AI may actually lead us to explore new dimensions of human consciousness and evolve our capacity for the heart, spirit, and energetic systems. Instead of focusing solely on productivity, we can start to look at other aspects of being human that AI cannot replicate.
If you're interested in exploring the future of AI and what it means for humanity, then give this video a watch. Don't forget to like and leave a comment with your thoughts on the topic.

Look around in your life. Notice all the results. Your relationships, health status, financial life, level op happiness etc. etc.
Apart from a few exceptions, everything you see in your life is a result of what you find “normal”
Normal is simply a set of boundaries within which lay all the things that you accept into your life, because you are used to them. A lot of these boundaries were simply learned throughout your life by your own experiences and the lessons from your role models.
This means that what you find normal - and what you accept in your life - is usually not aligned with what is most optimal for you (and often quite the opposite).
Unless you make the effort to truly figure out what makes your life optimal, happy, fulfilled, strong and healthy.
And for that, you have to study your relationship with normality.
