We come to the end of our walk through Acts with chapter 27 and 28. What can we learn from Paul as we finish off this "Pursuing our Purpose" journey?

1 Peter 1:1-8.
We are God's elect, exiles, and called to make a difference on our frontlines.
This morning we look at the run up to the splitting of the Kingdom of Israel, learning from 1 Kings 11:1-11. What can we we learn from Solomon, Jeroboam, and Rehoboam?
We continue our walk through the history of the Old testament- a brief history lesson of King David today!

As we walk through the creed, we come to think about why Jesus died. What did the cross achieve for us?
David continues our series on the creed, reading from Colossians 1. What does it mean to believe in God from God, light from light, begotton not made, of one being with the Father?
David teaches on what it means to call Jesus Lord- Kurios, looking through the sweep of the OT as well as the New.
Our first morning looking at the Nicene Creed. We look at the history and reasons behind it's formation, and then focus on the first line: We believe in One God. The Father Almighty, maker of all that is seen and unseen.
David shares some thoughts from John 20:1-18. The physical, historic resurrection of Jesus from the graves proves:
- God is faithful with his word,
- God is faithful to forgive,
- God will be faithful in the future to raise us from the grave.
David brings our journey through 1 Peter to an end, as we think about what chapter 5 tells us about humility towards each other, and resistance as we stand firm against the enemy. What's God been saying to you throughout this walk through 1 Peter?
