It feels so good to be back for another season. Join us in our first conversation as we take a trip down memory lane and give you a rundown on the anticipated baecation we recently went on. From the realizations we encountered about ourselves to the pieces we discovered about each other, we reflect on how the time away allowed us to grow as individuals and continue to nurture our relationship.
We also offer some insight and advice for those thinking of embarking on such a trip. It indeed was a fruitful and memorable experience. We are so happy to share it with you - see the link below for some snippets.
It’s a sad moment in the studio as we bid our final goodbyes to each other. This will be our last physical episode together for 2022. We briefly discuss the plan set out for the remainder of our attacks and some of the goals we hope to achieve in the next six months.

The presence of rules, both written and unwritten, is felt throughout various stages of our lives. Every game has its own set of rules, and it’s essential to understand them to know when to follow the rules - and when to break them.
21-year-old Bonolo Mokoka takes us on her journey of life. Having been raised in a competitive environment, she learned at an early age about the principles of working towards her goals. She is achievement-driven and lives life by the second. From the hustle culture to toxic productivity, she highlights the dangers of being clued up on a to-do list and the importance of scheduling rest.
A focal part of her life is her belief in Christianity- which is often thought of in rule-keeping. Bonolo uncovers this false narrative as she pours out her heart and speaks about the hardships that she’s endured and the relationship that she’s formed with religion.
As the founder of Reyagobona, a non-profit organisation, and an occupational therapy student, Bonolo dedicates her life to helping others as much as she can. Bonolo recently fulfilled a promise she made to herself and applied for Miss South Africa. In this episode, she shares the emotions she experienced throughout this monumental moment and the power of failure.
On behalf of the Arekopaneng family, thank you, Bonolo, for joining us in this episode. You indeed are an inspiration and a game-changer. Your inquisitive brain and ability to enjoy the simple joys of life are remarkable. We are incredibly proud of you!

At the height of the COVID-19 lockdown, many of us were constrained to the borders of our homes and the eventful battle with our minds. Some fell into habits that we compound and create a better future, while others choose the latter and fell into unpleasant spaces. Raheel, however, chose a path that not many would expect, and that is a quest to find his passion for acting and compounding to him going to the most significant talent convention in New York City.
Join Kopano as he unravels the trials and tribulations that this young man had to face on his road to finding his passion. From the emotional rollercoaster of being accepted to this convention to the imposter syndrome and understanding what actual hard work looks like.
Raheel, like all of us, is one with great aspirations to do good on this plant and plans to do that through acting. He is raw and expressive and, in many parts of the podcast, has Kopano in complete shock on how his story pans out.
From the Arekopaneng team, we would like to thank him for coming into the podcast and sharing another blissful and insightful perspective and wish him all the best in the “concrete jungle where dreams are made of”. Fly high, Raheel, and we hope to see you one day on the big screen!
The ultimate duo is back in the studio. In this episode, we give you a life update on our physical well-being, juggling school and work, meeting the family, the concept of casual magic, and so much more.
We further dive into a conversation centered around a book called “Why ‘A’ students work for ‘C’ students” by Robert Kiyosaki. From the principles of the schooling system and the attributes that different grade groups possess, right through to our own personal academic journeys and the harsh truths of being on either end of the spectrum. Join in the conversation as we unpack these topics and provide yet another perspective.
Navigating through teenage-hood may always be perceived as a daunting task; the social pressures, expected academic accolades, self-discovery, and bodily changes may be overwhelming to any given person. Add on to that going to an all-boys boarding school in the middle of nowhere is a different ball game.
Kopano and his heartfelt group of friends give us a glimpse of life inside the infamous Hilton College—known for its picturesque campus, blissful sunsets, and a poised group of gentlemen. Hilton, at its core, is a prime boy boarding school that equips its students with the armor in tackling the world’s most profound and systemic issues; more so, it curates’ young men to lead the world into a better tomorrow.
However, is this all true?
In this episode, Kopano and his three friends explore the truth about Hilton and what lies behind the McKenzie Gates. They explore the trials and tribulations of being a Hilton Boy and the blissful and brotherly moments embraced at Hilton. The fun and the dreadful times, and not to mention ex-head boy Cameron Coley speaking out on his journey on obtaining the highest position of the school and losing it before his term ended.
It is raw, honest, and authentic and sheds light on institutions that some dream of going to but forget about some of the harsh truths that exist within them.
From the Arekopaneng team, we would like to thank all these three individuals, S’bonelo Phungula, Matthew Loots, and Cameron Coley, for their honesty and integrity as they took us through their journey to becoming a Hilton Boy. We hope you enjoy yet another perspective.
Days Gone old but never forgotten.

Fashion model, 1 000 girls campaign activist, micro-influencer, and university student.
18-year-old Robyn Galloway, straight out of High School, allows us into her private space as she taps beneath the surface. She is so much more than a pretty face that you see on Instagram. The modeling industry is notoriously cutthroat which requires most, if not all, to build a thick skin. Robyn sheds light on her mental health journey as well as some of the struggles she faces while climbing the industry ladder. Her involvement in the 1 000 girls campaign as the Head of Education has uplifted girls in South Africa and, continues to create substantial and sustainable change. She also speaks about the series of live streams that she hosted on Instagram during heavy lockdown called Unfiltered Youth and the heartfelt stories that were shared.
Not to mention, Robyn is in her first year of studying at tertiary level. Finding that balance has been a critical component in juggling different aspects of her life. She is a young, zesty, and authentic individual who is making waves and breaking barriers in multiple industries.
Join us for the conversation, let's dive deeper.
It's KOOOOOOOOOPS’ time to have you all to myself, and here we are in my first episode without my lovely cohost Thori.
In my segment, I plan to build a community that deems to listen to a person's life story with no judgment, no criticism, but rather creating a safe space where people feel that opening up is no uphill battle and that reminding them that their story matters.
Today’s episode is no different to any other, where we explore the life of Tumi Msiza. It’s one filled with trials and tribulations, from the rejection that the soccer field played him to the awakening of his soul in coaching the beautiful game.
This conversation does not have one single message but pockets of wisdom and authentic words that one needs to gauge where applicable in their own lives. So indulge in what you want and sit back and enjoy yet another unique and different perspective.
Some individuals pass by that make me rethink the why behind what I do and partake in. Tumi added himself to that category, and I am grateful for the wisdom and lessons he has given us in this episode.
As always,
Stay safe,
Stay true,
Stay youuuuu!
