Reflect with community on the shifting dynamics of city, community, and Spirit in the midst of the murder of Daunte Wright

View Details

How do we rebuild our faith when we've been burned in the past? How do we rebuild our world when there are so much supremacist violence and distrust?

“Does heaven have a guest list?” “If not, and everyone is ‘saved’, why does it matter how we live on earth?” This Palm Sunday, we’ll explore how to pull ourselves out of theological dead-ends like these questions, and replace them with an imagination of a God who insists on liberation.

View Details

How do we respond to that which is Other?

By the logic of Empire, the Other is characterized as monstrous and threatening--exemplified by the recent massacre of Asian sex workers by a white supremacist. We see a similar logic displayed in the book of Revelation where John describes the Whore of Babylon’s violent destruction. Yet the Korean concept of jeong teaches us a logic of love that that transforms the oppressor/oppressed binary into a relationship of radical hospitality.

The trial of Derek Chauvin, the former police officer who murdered George Floyd, begins on March 8. How can we prepare our soul for what is to come? How can we resist as a community of faith?

View Details

The environment isn’t just something that matters to our community, it’s something that matters to God. But because of systems of power, oppression, and greed, the Earth has been in a constant struggle against the Empire.

View Details

The middle of Revelation is almost never read in church because it describes difficult scenes, including scenes where God is violent. How can we understand this violence while staying committed to liberation for the whole planet?

View Details

How can Black spirituals help us to better understand Revelation? How can Revelation teach us to trust ourselves? How does “Vapor” fit into all of this?

View Details

How do we demonstrate active resistance when justice seems so far off? Hear Revelation’s hot take on rebellious witness.

View Details

How can understanding the image of the 'slain lamb' help us to stomach the rest of Revelation, which is filled with burning hellscapes and war?

View Details

The letters to the Churches in the book of Revelation were a reality check. Jesus reveals that what they considered insignificant was actually of immeasurable worth and what they considered most important was actually quite small. It is this unveiling, this revealing, this uncovering, this awareness of the actual state of things that we need right now for ourselves, for our community, and for our world. God wants to give everyone a reality check and that’s not something to be afraid of, because as we will discover: we can’t have liberation without first experiencing revelation.

View Details

Many, many people interpret Revelation as a secret 'code' for the end of the world. But is that true to the original intentions of the text?

Christmas is the story of what happens when God shows up and invites all of humanity to show up too. When God does something amazing, we can take notice and take part. But sometimes we can get so busy and distracted that we can miss the God all around us, the God inside us, and the God in each other.

Learn what it means to hear and respond to what God is doing in this coming new year. Discover what it means to show up when God does.
