Hey peeps! Happy Friday ♥ Here's a sweet reminder: "Why does God give us SO many instructions? Seriously!". As christians, we know that God gives us many commands on how to handle things in our lives, like our money, our relationships, our enemies, our marriage, our leadership, etc! Sometimes we can slip into thinking that His demands are irrelevant, so we pick-and-choose which warning labels to follow. But what does JESUS say about it? And why should we check our perspective?

♥ Hey, hey and happy Friday! No matter who you are, there will likely come a moment in your faith-walk when you'll feel completely distant from God. And it has nothing to do with the number of years you've been a Christian, and everything to do with keeping your eyes open when FEAR strikes you. This summer, as God opened major new doors and I grew uncertain, I finally understood.

Let's be honest, we aren't always on our best behavior. Sometimes we don't do what we know is right, even though we want to. Or we fight urges, until we can't anymore. It's hard! Worse is feeling guilty about it because you just keep messing up. "I can't do this God stuff" pops in, and you can't help but compare yourself to christians that seem to have it all. So, are you a bad christian?

Happy Friday, my good peeps! Family is a sweet blessing. Yet most of us could agree that family can also shake us up with frustrations every now and then. What you may not realize is that the home is a practice arena, where we get to uncover and improve our natural faults (laziness, anger issues, selfishness..etc). God likes to use our families to push us into becoming better and better versions of ourselves. SO, what does your family reveal about you? And what is God doing through them in your life?

From facing that high school struggle to dreaming of college, God stood by my side, proving that as long as I trusted him, he would come through. Happy Friday, my peeps! Before I baptized, nobody had EVER sat down with me to explain what a relationship with Christ would be like. I had no idea what I was supposed to do. Thank GOD though, literally, because through His patience and His love, I began to discover who I really am versus who he's calling me to be.
God, became my Father. He became my friend. But He has always been Savior.

HEY HEY FOLKS! ♥ Here's the thing. Christianity as a religion isn't a bad thing, what we do with it, is. So when you hear Christians today encourage each other to move beyond "being religious", to "being spiritual", it's meant as a shift in how we pursue Jesus in our hearts. New or not, Christians can sometimes forget that religion without a personal intimacy with Jesus will leave us playing pretend in church, instead of experiencing a real relationship with Him.
My first few years as a Christian, I couldn't figure out what was wrong. So if this is you, it's not too late to re-adjust your eyes back on the One who matters. Hope it shines a light and a little love... God bless!
