THE BLR DAY 15 - THE FINAL DAY 2017
What a way to finish! John, John, Justin, and Kathy delivered Pudsey and Lou safely to Knowsley Safari Park. Liam then kept them both safe from Lions, and Tigers, and Bears (Oh my!) as an amazing sight occurred around the park. A HUGE thank you to Knowsley for being so supportive and accomodating. In fact a MASSIVE shout out to all the amazing venues that have let us overrun them over the last 2 weeks.
To finalise a day that nobody will forget, Louise and the Relay were given an honour by Theresa May, Prime Minister, called the Points of Light Award. It recognises individuals doing amazing work for charities and in their community. This was Point of Light #833, and everyone agrees it was well deserved - and a total surprise to Louise. We bring you the presentation and Louise’s response.

A weekend catchup after some family time, which really has been the unofficial theme of this years relay.
Ian and Chris get their turn to join in! We mark Rememberance weekend in true Relay fashion, and get to apprecicate what we have and have achieved.

Today has seen Louise and the BLR convoy head from Checkheaton to Stourbridge. Louise took a photo of the tallest and the shortest ADIs on the relay and was followed by the fuzz in the form of Pudsey on a trike!!!. Listen in to find out more.
The Big Learner Relay Pudcast Day 6 2017
The Big Learner Relay continues through Day 6 transporting Louise and Pudsey around the country followed by hoardes of Approved Driving Instructors (ADIs) and their pupils. Day 6 takes us to the now famous Pudsey, but things were not quite as planned….
Carol Fenwick (aka author Geraldine Ward) our singing lollypop lady puts down her sign and picks up the microphone to sing us out at the end.

The BLR relies on the support of may people in the form of time, money, effort and good will. We wanted to take a little time to hear from those that support from the sidelines and help make it happen.
Louise Walsh and Amy Cullen in a Terry Wogan dedicated ditty. A humorous and true to life tail of a the battle between a driving instructor and their pupil. The final night of the Big Learner Relay was celebrated by driving around Donnington Race Course, and then a truely spotty shindig at the Hilton. An amazing amount raised for Children in Need by Approved Driving Instructors (ADIs) across the UK, relaying 3000 miles in 15 days. The 3rd Big Learner Relay did not disappoint and neither did Lou and Amy!
Hear about Day 14 of the journey snuggled up with a warm-ish hot water bottle, the obligatory cup cakes and a moonlit drive. OFFICIAL MUST HEAR Donnington information(READ BELOW!)!!! And the promise of a mornings post to listen to over breakfast!
