We’re a couple of DaftDudes (Productions cough cough) who love movies, tv shows, anime, and the like and decided to share our idiotic views on them (see what we did there?) I you feel like we got some interesting information or we just make you feel better about your IQ on your commute, give us a listen and share it around! Become a fellow Vidiot! (Yes, we’re going with that) Also, please use the email provided for feedback or to share your opinions and even request something for us to consider. We actually do read our emails videovox00@gmail.com
Hey all you Vidiots! Jo & Sean here with a update on our uploading schedule and what's been going on so far. The show is on hiatus for a while and hopefully we'll be back to you as soon as possible. We've gotta catch up on some movies/tv to have material for ya'll (official cover story...oops, didn't meet to put the cover part...).
We love the show and love ya'll and hope to keep this going strong - videovox00@gmail.com-
Hey all you Vidiot Masters (and Padawans...no, we DON'T grant most of you the rank of Master)! After a while outta the recording loop, our hosts take an episode to talk about the state of our favorite galaxy with cool laser swords and plasma pistols (...boy, it's good they don't have that isn't it?) & where it could go forward from where it currently sits. A little bit of discussion, idiotic ramblings & a few more unwarranted opinions on the subject of the extended universe and its established titles thus far. A little bit of a different kind of episode, but hey... it's on something we love right? So pull up a seat, have a glass of blue milk & enjoy some conversation!
Sincere apologies about the lack of word about the overall uploading gap this time around. It WAS recorded on Memorial Day and meant to be uploaded that weekend. We do apologize again and hope to continue the regular schedule & if we can't, we will make sure to post an update. Cheers
-- We want to hear from you!!! videovox00@gmail.com --
Hey all you padawan vidiots!! It's been a while since you heard our wise and meaningful words hasn't it? (Apologies for the gap between uploads...this is indeed a personal endeavor that takes time and planning and we here at VIDIOTIC don't have good either) It's May and that means...another glorious and well-thought deep dive into the world of Star Wars!!! Join our Diad in the Farce (I really didn't want to put that, but they thought it was funny...just laugh please) as they dissect the spin-off films that encompass Rogue One and Solo: A Star Wars Story. Films that were meant to push the Star Wars series into new heights and reach new records (and lead to more spin-offs but we see how that went right?) but might have instead reached lows of our beloved galaxy far, far away. Give Jo & Sean a listen and humor their takes on this set of films...
SOMEHOW...VIDIOTIC RETURNED...
(get it? hahahahahaha)
Hey all Vidiots! Jo & Sean are back with some more musings and other unwanted opinions on some more of that esteemed and highly regarded world of cinema and film (seriously, we're researching who sold these guys the mics and even let them have the equipment necessary). With another topic that is sure to have multiple follow-ups, our hosts discuss what are some of their favorite quotes from film. They pull some of their favorites of all time branching out over the serious, the memorable and the downright stupid that stuck out the most in their minds...(the serious ones surprised us too, don't be afraid. I guess idiots have moments of lucidity also). Give a listen and see if any are on your most favorited/memorable/stuck-in-your-heads-regardless lists
WE WANNA HEAR FROM YOU! -*videovox00@gmail.com- ***
Hey all. No episode this week as Jo & Sean were super busy with some things that demanded their attention. Jo was able to take some time and get a little something out there for ya’ll so…here ya go! Next upload schedule should be back to normal….so, take advantage of their silence and try to build back the brain cells that have been lost or severely weakened by these two morons.
Hey all! VIDIOTIC's takes on the 2023 Oscars are in and...well, just say its good that they're not presenters or hosts. This past year's movies were some of the best in recent years and the performances were absolutely stunning and even heartwrenching....so, why not have our hosts Jo & Sean discuss such dramatic and austere performances? Give a listen as our intrepid hosts discuss the events and awards of the night and talk about the dubs, the snubs & the overall flubs of the past year. Oh, and Jo wanted to say...OMG BRENDAN FRASER!!! YES!!!!!
Enjoy you fellow Vidiots!
Hey all Vidiots! Jo & Sean are back at it with another idiotic review of a film. This episode, they are reviewing a well-received and universally quite loved sequel, Puss in Boots: The Last Wish. A film that defied expectations of the "sequel curse" by being much better than it had any right to be and balanced all of the fun, comedy, heart and heavy topics it discussed with grace and flair...which by all counts, shouldn't qualify these bozos to talk about it in ANY capacity. So, naturally, they decided to anyway. Hope you all enjoy these two and their moronic musings on this film!
CLARIFICATION - For any new listeners, VIDIOTIC makes reviews with a Spoiler-free half and then a Spoiler half, so fair warning. There will be a period where it's specified. (We're idiots here, not unkind or uncaring)
Well, VIDIOTIC is back (finally) after a long hiatus! After a good break and a LOT of personal things that happened, Jo & Sean are here to continue their thoughts and opinions on movies, tv and what have you (IS THIS WHAT YA'LL WANTED?!?!). With such a break, there was a fair amount of watching going on, so our hosts decided to bring in the first episode of a new year with discussion of what they watched...with a few other ramblings as well (what did you expect at this point?). Some movies, holiday functions and traditions and a few plans of what to look forward to in this new season...it's all there. Welcome back to the madness and idiotic discussions of your favorite (WE HOPE?) podcast.
Hey all you festive Vidiots! Jo & Sean, your favorite (just let them think this please?) hosts of your favorite (again please go with it) podcast are here to end the year for this show with an extra special episode. This episode is just a nice look back at all that's been accomplished on the show thus far, how they've enjoyed it or even which parts were not so good, and the rest to (hopefully) come. Join in on our hosts taking time to shout out those special films that stood out to them, their favorite episodes of this season, and a tribute to many stars that we lost this year. More relaxing and laid back as opposed to our more frantic ramblings. We all from VIDIOTIC here hope that you all have a great Christmas, Hanukkah, Kwanza, and whatever you may celebrate this holiday season. Oh, and a Happy New Year!
Hey all you Vidiots out there! Hope your holiday season is kicking off to a great start so far...allow us to interject that and keep it stupid for ya. This episode, Jo & Sean decided to talk about some of their favorite holiday movies/specials they love to watch every year. We all have those...many of which our hosts are definitely sure that many of you listeners share. So, get into that holiday cheer, grab some hot cocoa and give a listen to your favorite idiot hosts talk about some seasonal favorites!
Hey all you Vidiots! Jo & Sean decided to do a little something different with this episode here. They collectively made the choice to, instead of just talking about some films they like and suggesting choices for you...they're on the offensive this episode and TELLING you what films deserve more attention and need to be watched. Specifically, they also decided to focus on older films that they've seen that stuck with them and even might be considered some of the "Greatest of All Time". True classics, as it were (sometimes even an idiot can love and appreciate the classics...shocked me too, don't worry). Give this a listen and add more great films to your (growing) watchlist. And remember...the hosts aren't suggesting....they're commanding. stares intensely and gives a solemn nod
videovox00@gmail.com - we want to hear from you all
Hey fellow Vidiots! Continuing on their last episode, Jo & Sean decided to talk about some of their favorite film villains of all time. Spooky season is about to finish up and they thought to keep the spooks and chills vibe going on alive (or "undead" maybe?). Focusing on other films over the years that they've watched (and more so focusing on live action), our hosts go over some examples of what villains they've remembered (even NOT completely a villain but instead provided the perfect foil or hurdle to a protagonist). Give a listen and see what our hosts have to say for a finale to the 2022 spooky season!
BOO!!!!
sorry...had to
Hey all you vidiots! Jo and Sean decided that for this episode, they would talk something applicable to the month of October and specifically, something more sinister and chilling to go along with the Halloween season. So, they decided to first look at some Disney animated villains that stood out to them throughout Disney's long and storied history (specifically the animated films, because let's be honest...they can't look at EVERY Disney movie ever and even with the animated lineup, there's PLENTY to choose from). We're pretty sure you've got your favorites. The ones you'll always remember. Their songs you'll always sing....heck, probably even dress up as them in the coming weeks (we don't judge...you do you). Give a listen to our hosts as they discuss Disney and which of those villains stand out the most in their minds (don't worry if your favorite isn't included...They'll definitely revisit this topic again).
Note - Jo's mic was kinda messing up near the beginning of this episode and then fixed itself (somehow) near the middle, so there is a distinct audio change there. Just a head's up
Hey all you vidiots! How's it going with ya'll? Watch anything good lately? Well, our hosts have watched the latest Thor and they've decided to talk about it... (seriously, who the heck gave these guys mics and internet access?) A new outing with our favorite god of thunder...and Taika Waititi at the helm...AND MIGHTY THOR?!?! Well, that's just gotta be talked about by your favorite idiotic hosts. Give a listen to their ramblings on this new Thor outing.
Hey all, VIDIOTIC's back! Sorry for the delay, but Jo & Sean were busy...(at least that's what they're saying). This episode, they decided to talk about adaptations. The ones we all want to see on the big screen, the ones that we actually loved and/or enjoyed, and...the ones that we either didn't want or don't wanna talk about...pretty sure you know what we're talking about shudder. Give a listen and see if there's any here you agree with or even recognize...(seriously, Sean pulls one out of obscurity here).
videovox00@gmail.com {WE WANNA HEAR FROM YOU}
Hey all you fellow Vidiots! Jo & Sean are really excited to (FINALLY) show you all this extra special episode they've been working on for a looooong time now. It's been in the works for a while, and now it's ready for the showing!!! It's the first in an ongoing saga these intrepid hosts are tackling: focusing on famous tales of heroes, monsters, men, gods and fairy tales....you name it! Specifically, these stories and their history throughout cinema and the plethora of adaptations that can be found of them through the years past. The first story they've chosen to focus on is Treasure Island...sounds fun right? Tune into to this series called: Heroes, Tales, Myths, and Legends [HTML] (see what they did there?)
Hey all! Jo’s here to detail a lot of what to expect in the coming months with the show! A big project episode is coming up, new updates to the show, and a further development is discussed…Ready yourselves for ANTICI………PATION!!!!
Forgive us, The Godfather, for we have sinned...
This one may be the most painful episode to date. Your residential vidiots Jo & Sean decided to lay out their film sins and discuss their biggest movies/shows that they haven't watched. There are some big names on here folks....it REALLY might be a rough episode for you listeners out there. But, we think you will be vindicated in your watch habits from our hosts' obvious failures. Maybe you'll even enjoy this episode (serious doubt on that)
In the name of the Scorsese, Coppola, and Kubrick. AMEN
Hey all! This episode is a fun one! You got any of those films that you know are not gonna win any Oscars or even be nominated for some award? Or on the flip side, did ya ever watch a movie that you absolutely loved and the general public and/or critics didn't like it (AND YOU DON'T KNOW WHY?!?!?!) Well, our hosts have and they feel your pain (or pleasure in this case). These are some of their Guilty Pleasures and Underrated films that they want to spotlight and make more readily known. Oh, and they might debate on some placements for their choices and definitions. Join in on this first in a series that will (DEFINITELY) be revisited in the future as this list is LOOOOOOONG....(Seriously, this might take a while)
Hey all! Our hosts are back in the swing of some more episodes on something other than Star Wars (they'll get back around to it, don't worry). They really, really wanted to talk about this movie and decided now was as good a time as any! With it's recent addition to Disney+ our hosts celebrate with their thoughts on Dr. Strange In the Multiverse of Madness!!!! Another outing with Marvel's Sorcerer Supreme (or ex-Sorcerer) with the trippy crazy visuals and helmed by Sam Raimi?!? Jo and Sean just had to give their thoughts on this film and give them in both a Spoiler-free and Spoiler sectioned episode. Hope you enjoy and make sure that you pay the Pizza Papa!!!
(EDITOR'S NOTE: Sorry for the quality of this episode, but it was a VERY busy week and the deadline was coming up. I hope this doesn't affect anyone's enjoyment of this episode)
Hey all jedi, sith, or whatever have yous of this galaxy! In this final episode of 2022's Star Wars month episodes, Jo and Sean talk all about the sequel trilogy! Disney's first outing as the holders of the rights was...divisive to say the least. Tune in to hear our hosts thoughts on this trilogy and how they felt it added or subtracted from the overall saga and where we could see this beloved saga go to from here. And a HUGE thanks for everyone who tuned in thus far for STAR WARS Month and we all hope you enjoyed it and want to hear more from this show on the matter (and just more from this show in general honestly. It helps our hosts egos to have people listen) May the Force be with you all!!!
Hey all listeners in this galaxy and another far, far away! This week's episode continues in the vein of May being Star Wars month and today, Jo and Sean talk all about that oft looked over and dismissed prequel trilogy! While a trip down memory lane is always nice, this time you've got our two idiots talking all about how much they loved, what they didn't really like, and the overall appeal and overarching story in the saga. Pull up a seat, grab some blue milk and death sticks (which you DON'T want to sell us any of), and enjoy the ramblings of our hosts as they visit the movies of The Phantom Menace, Attack of the Clones, and Revenge of the Sith!
This is where the fun begins...(sorry, couldn't help ourselves)
Hey all you padawans, Jedi, Sith, and whatever else you may be in this galaxy! For the month of May (un)officially Star Wars month [May the Fourth be with you], our witless and clueless hosts talk about anything and everything in everyone's favorite galaxy far, far away a long time ago (Cue the John Williams score here). For this episode, Jo and Sean decide to tackle the set that started it all and share their opinions and thoughts on the original trilogy now called Episodes IV, V, & VI. Will they have insightful and points true enough to please any force user or are their opinions farther off than shots from a storm trooper? Give it a listen and enjoy! Also, of course, May the Force be with you!!!
Hello fellow Vidiots! Jo and Sean are back again after a hiatus to discuss and plan out the best scheduling for them and, well, to those who hoped and prayed for their end...not yet!!! insert maniacal laugh No, on this episode, they decide to start off the series named "We FINALLY Watched..." (great name right?) with one they mentioned in their Oscar breakdown episode, "Tick...Tick...Boom!". The musical by (and loose autobiography-type of) Jonathan Larson and with the Oscar nominated performance of Andrew Garfield in a film adaptation by Lin Manuel Miranda.....why hadn't they both watched it yet?!?!?!? Tune in to hear their thoughts on this film and keep an ear out for exciting future plans our hapless hosts have for this show!
Hey all! Jo details some changes coming around for your favorite idiots and the show going forward…
Hey fellow Vidiots! Jo & Sean have some thoughts on this year's Oscars...big surprise right? From the snubs, the dubs, and the overall flubs, hear our intrepid hosts' musings on the night's festivities and award winners! Fun right? And don't worry, these two idiots will completely make the Academy glad they aren't ANYWHERE near them or the industry and realize that maybe certain films were judged too harshly compared to them...
{Side note: YES, they've definitely heard about "the slap"...who hasn't?}
Hey all! This week, your resident Vidiots Jo & Sean decide to review "The Batman" by Matt Reeves. They've both been to see it, and they've got some more of those popular (we hope!) opinions of theirs and....well, they've still got a mic and access to editing software, so naturally it's posted for all to hear. Tune in to discover what our hosts thought of this movie and where it could be headed. BE WARNED!!!! This episode is split into two halves...First half is a spoiler-free review and discussion while the Second has all Bat-gloves off, with spoilers discussed and mused upon. So, with that said, enjoy our hosts review and stay Idiotic!!
Excelsior fellow Vidiots! Jo and Sean are excited to kick off the first official episode of VIDIOTIC with a series they'll go back to that they call Fancast. Basically, anything that deserves a second chance in their opinions to miscasting in cinematic endeavors to...well, any are they want to look at. And firstly, they chose to look at the thrilling future that could await eager fans of Marvel and, more specifically, the MCU. They discuss casting the iconic team of the Fantastic Four and what they'd like to see going forward in this epic franchise. Join us, True Believers!! (STAN LEE is forever in our hearts...)
Unfortunately, that thing called life got in the way and completely kept Jo & Sean from being able to record any episodes for this week. But, don’t despair, adoring fans. (No really, it’s bad for your mental health) They’re able to keep you all in the loop with a quick little update so, we’ll call Intermission. Come back next week for the start of the episodes and see where they go from there!!!
Hey all! You're Vidiots, Jo & Sean, are back at it with the final part of their icebreaker lists (for now...wink wink). For their last list, they decided to list out some of their favorite directors to helm the memorable (good or bad, they don't judge) and classic films and movies they've enjoyed. Without a cohesive structure and a concentrated mind at the helm of a film project, it goes nowhere, so they wanted to recognize that. But don't you worry, there isn't a mind at the helm of this podcast (God help us all...) Give a listen and see if you agree with any choices and maybe consider answering the question of who your favorites are!
Well, your resident Vidiots are at it again! After some small talk, Jo and Sean detail some of their favorite actresses to grace the screen and impact cinema. Join us for a fun list and maybe you share some of the same choices, maybe there will be more actresses that you hear about here and want to check out their work. Either way, it should be intriguing all around...
{Hosts' side note: Jo and Sean are two men who run the podcast, so they wish to convey that they neither intended to nor purposefully meant to insult, slander, harm, or diminish any of these fantastic women they mention. They are aware of many of the attitudes towards women and minorities that plague the country and wish to express this to anyone who feels that they are any less than or deserving of lower treatments: fk yourself}**
Continuing on the favorite lists train we started with our first episode, we decided to list off some of our favorite actors to grace the screen and impress us with their chops in cinema. Whether in drama, horror, suspense, or comedy, these people stood out to us in some way or another and well, we talked about them for a bit. Join in and let us know if you agreed with our choices and who your favorites are. Or don't...that's up to you.
(Heads up about the audio. Some clips have feedback that Jo couldn't remove. Have patience please. He's learning. As is Sean. Thank you)
Hey there! It's a special first episode as Jo and Sean detail some of their favorite films of all time to break the ice with the listeners! Sure, it's a pretty long one, but if we could, we could list all of our favorite films (but let's be real, who wants an 8 hour episode right?). Tune in and enjoy the show!!!
Hey, here's a teaser of who we are and what we're gonna talk about in the episodes to come. Hope you enjoy our missteps and (purposefully left in) bloopers as we felt it was more genuine. Plus we could maybe chalk them up to premier night jitters, perhaps?
