In this episode of She Runs Trails Podcast, I share my trail running journey and answer trail running questions! 😊
I started trail running in 2015 and ran my first Ultra (50K - 31 miles) on October 2016. Ever since I’ve ran thousands of miles on the trail and have challenged myself through different runs such as running Rim2Rim2Rim solo, C2C2C solo, Baldy Marathons 50K, Mt, Baldy, San Gorgonio and San Jacinto all three back to back under 24 hours,50Ks, 50 milers, Rae Lakes Loop, two times the Backbone Trail (68 miles), running 100 miles on the PCT and so much more. 😅
I haven’t ran many races, but I’ve ran a lot of solo long trails and staged my own runs. My motivation isn’t a medal or having people cheer for me. My motivation is the growth that comes from the uncomfortable situations I put myself. My motivation is the adventure.
But this wasn’t always me.. in this IG live podcast episode I talk about my trail running journey. How running helped me with my mental health (depression/prevent suicidal attempts). How trail running helped me find myself and create a better relationship with myself. I also answered trail running questions. 🦋
It would mean a lot if you leave a review and rate the podcast. Thank you! 🙏
