"It's Better in the Wind" is a podcast from photographer Scott G Toepfer, who has dedicated much of his personal and professional life to telling visual stories in photographs and films. The podcast is where Scott will be able to share tales from the road, stories of historical motorcycles, road trips to be remembered, and cultural icons from the motorcycle and motorsport world.
Who else to get a ride report from than Dice Magazine's Dean Micetich. Dean tells us the story of his favorite ride near California's Central Coast. It's an emotional subject, and I adore Dean for being so open with me.
Epidode 2 of "It's Better in the Wind" focuses on astronomer and privateer record setter Larry Bornhurst, and his Harley-Davidson sponsored attempt at setting the record for racing from Tijuana to La Paz in 1974. When the Baja highway was paved in the early 1970s, a new class of motorcycle was ready to attempt the record for the fastest time. "La Hormiga" was born from a motorcycle cursed by problems in the off-road racing attempts, and despite troubled testing and a seemingly insurmountable lean running condition, Larry attempted the record in the spring of 1974.

The podcast is a quick jaunt down the rabbit hole of mostly two-wheeled adventures, and in the theme of the original 'Wind' series, I hope to share some genuine and heartfelt stories about the love of travel and motorcycles.
This first episode is to give a bit of background on myself, Scott Toepfer, as well as a fun story about racing the NORRA Mexican 500 on a 1967 BSA Hornet.
