In this month's episode, Pastor Aaron interviews two members of the Church who have been around since the late 60s and early 70s about the unique DNA that God has given to University Drive Alliance Church and how similar to our roots, we continue to desire to reach into our community and have an impact for Jesus.
It’s all about Jesus. In a broken and divided world, we come together with Jesus. When we make Jesus famous through our lives, people will literally stop us in the street and ask, “What is it that’s different about you?” Our job, as Christians, is to paint pictures of Jesus everywhere we go and bless others in His name.
Scripture: Romans 15:5 “May the God of endurance and encouragement grant you to live in such harmony with one another, in accord with Christ Jesus”
Food has always been a way a tool that has brought us together, moving from doing life in rows, to doing it in circles. Within these circles, relationship and healing and unity can be found. What are ways that we can use our tables to bring people together and how can we use food to bless others and open doors to lead them closer to Jesus rather than keeping people at arms length.

Music has brought the world together on many different occasions, events like Woodstock, Farm Aid, even local concerts and more, promoted unity and support of people, while they sang and focused their thoughts beyond their present situations and came together. As always, music touches the soul and this paired with Jesus becomes a very powerful opportunity for us to come together, lay aside our difference and focus our thoughts and affections on the King.
Scripture: Psalm 105:1 “Give praise to the Lord, proclaim His name; make known among the nations what HE has done”
There are many people in the world who can find agreement with the values and ideas of Jesus, but maybe historically have a wound from the church. How can we bring people together to help them develop a relationship with Jesus and eventually bring them into the Church, redeeming their previous story? What are some tools that others have used to facilitate these conversations?
Scripture: Matthew 5:14-16 “You are the light of the world. A city set on a hill cannot be hidden. Nor do people light a lamp and put it under a basket, but on a stand, and it gives light to all in the house. In the same way, let your light shine before others, so that they may see your good works and give glory to your Father who is in heaven.”
God invites us to be stewards of the resources He gives to us. How can we use these gifts (Our homes, our possessions, our time and our money to bless others and bring people together? How can we live with open hands and live with a generous spirit rather than holding our hands tight and for ourselves?
Scripture: Acts 4:32 “All the believers were one in heart and mind. No one claimed that any of their possessions was their own, but they shared everything they had.”
God has a heart for the world. What are some Kingdom stories from the Global Picture and how do we as believers and as the Church help to fan into flame the Kingdom work that God is doing. (We are better together and need to find ways to come together with Kingdom people no matter what their stripe, not just a particular group or tribe)
Scripture: Acts 13:47 “For this is what the Lord has commanded us: “ ‘I have made you a light for the Gentiles, that you may bring salvation to the ends of the earth.’ ”
What are ways that we can bless others through prayer? How do we broach the opportunity to pray for others, maybe even when they aren’t people of faith? Looking at Lethbridge, what are ways that we can bring Jesus to the centre of our City even when it feels like the City wants to keep Jesus at arms length?
Scripture: 2 Chronicles 7:14 “if my people, who are called by my name, will humble themselves and pray and seek my face and turn from their wicked ways, then I will hear from heaven, and I will forgive their sin and will heal their land.”
Today’s episode with Pastor Aaron and Greg will be discussing how people gather around God’s word? What are practical ways and blessings that can be experienced when people read God’s word together and how does that strengthen us for the seasons that we live in?
