The main sermon explored biblical concepts about God's relationship with the earth and humanity, emphasizing themes of creation, rest, and the importance of maintaining a sense of awe and humility in God's presence, concluding with messages about repentance and spiritual experiences.

The psalmist is encouraging us to do two things.
● Look past Jerusalem to God – from whom comes all our help
● Look to Jerusalem, since this was the place God’s presence dwelt.
We look to both God and His Church. You cannot make it without either!
Pastor Joel reminds us that our help doesn't come from the hills, but from the Lord, who made heaven and earth.

Pastor Joel expands on the previous sermon by encouraging us to take our faith one step further, by walking it out. Faith is demonstrated by how we speak and how we act. Faith without works is dead.
Faith begins in our heart/mind, but it is revealed by how we speak and what we say. When we choose to speak God's Word, we confess our faith in Him.
Today, PLC acknowledges our graduates by giving them a word of encouragement. Do not be like the world, do not just copy and follow just anyone and anything. Instead, we are called to follow and truly know the Lord. Let's be more like Jesus today.
We need each other more than we realize. The Church is meant to be a family, connected together and watching out for each other.
Pastor Joel teaches us the importance of the power that we get through the Holy Spirit. And that it's important to reconnect with that power frequently for it gives us the ability to be witnesses of Him to our world.

The phrase “the Glory of the Lord” is intriguing and filled with wonder…but what exactly does this mean?

Jesus asked his disciples a question that is still relevant to us today “who do you say that I am?” Who is Jesus to you? A good man of history, prophet, saviour or Lord. The answer says a lot about how we choose to live.

What does 2024 hold for us? I don't know, but we must be mentally ready for more of the above. The events surrounding the pandemic was a blessing in disguise for those who can see it, for it was a rial run of when the mark of the beast system will be in place.

God gave Jacob some promises. Yet in order to fulfill them Jacob had to come back to Bethel, the house of God. The same is true for our lives, God has great things in store for us when we change our path and come back into relationship with Him.
- Name’s were really important to the Jews
- The word name is defined in the dictionary as “a word or term by which a person or thing is...known” (Collins English Dictionary, 2009)
- Hebrew word for name is “Shem”. This word literally means “a mark...of individuality” (Strong, 1890)
- It also speaks of the character and authority of that person.
The Holy Ghost is essential for salvation. Like breath is essential for the life of a new baby to continue outside the womb.
God did the impossible by splitting the Red Sea and still does the impossible today, forgive our sin and saves our lives is well let him.
Sometimes the doors God opens for us are doors of opportunity - other times they are the choice to surrender and yield to Him even when we don't understand.

As Christians we are called to endure suffering and persecution. While this is difficult and undesirable it brings us closer to God. He promised to give us power to overcome evil with good.
The book of Revelation is more than just a book about the end of the world. It's main purpose was to remind the church of who Jesus is and their role in the earth. The Church of Ephesus had done some things well, and also needed some correction.

When Jesus ate the last supper with his followers, He instituted a meal of remembrance with them. They were to repeat this meal over and over, in memory of Him and as a way to renew their commitment to Jesus. Sin separates us from God and brings the curse of negative consequences in our lives. Jesus came to reverse the curse!
God gives a great gift to those who believe in Him and want to follow Him. That gift is His Holy Spirit that gives you a new, soft and tender heart, one that is receptive to God. It works best when you stir it up and keep it alive in your life.
We don't need to focus on trying to keep a clean house(heart) so much as a full heart. The Devil looks for empty hearts to fill with his garbage.
