Today we will be talking about one of the most important parts of the sourcing process, writing a killer job ad. We regularly see increases of 50% to 300% applicant flow simply by writing a job ad that better positions the job as attractive to the job seeker.

This episode is our transition from hiring strategy to hiring tactics... but before we dig in to our proven hiring tips & tricks... you need to make a very important decision.
That decision is: Who will drive the sourcing & selection process?
Now that we've identified our target job seeker segment, and hopefully a real live person that we want to clone, we need to make sure that we have created a job that they would actually want to have.
I focus on the following 2 questions:
1- How does working for me solve the fears & frustrations they feel at their current job?
2- How can I reduce the pain that the new hire feels when they quit their job and start working for me?
Answer these two questions for your target job seeker, and you will find a whole group of excited people that want to work for you!
In this episode, we spend some time laying out how to map out the requirements for the job, and determine which groups of potential job seekers we want to try to hire.
This session is all about migrating from sole proprietor to business owner. One of the most important steps in that transition is for you to figure out what the "identity" of your business will be, and how you will, therefore, show up in the lives of both your customers. This knowledge will help you know what type of employees (personalities & values) you will need to have so that your business will consistently project this identity. Once we know what type of employees we need, we can then design an employee experience that those people will want.
Most HVAC contractors approach hiring using the same paradigm as all of their competitors... and it isn't working. Maybe it's time for a change.
This initial episode will give you a new way to think about hiring that is the core of all of our training to come.
