Today, when it comes to faith, people want proof - they are always looking for something tangible or explainable. Or, if they aren’t looking for proof backed by science, they want proof that can be felt emotionally. In this episode, we discuss how to approach the question of the existence of God and what it really means to have faith. We also discuss the importance of faith over feelings as Christians who may doubt God in times of trouble.

Friends have the power to influence our lives in a positive or a negative way. The focus for this episode is the power of friendship. Friends can either pull us away from God or draw us closer to Him. We have to ask ourselves, who do we surround ourselves with? Are these people going to help me get closer to God and my purpose or are they going to distract me from my purpose and take me further from what God wants for my life?

Do you struggle to recognize your purpose, value or worth? Do you often measure these things by what others see in you or say about you? On this episode, we discuss the importance of seeing ourselves from God’s point of view. By unpacking what the Bible says about us, we challenge our listeners to focus on who they are in God’s eyes, including their purpose in Him and their worth and value to Him. Only when you see yourself from God’s perspective can you truly learn to love yourself, because you can see what He sees in you and what He loves about you.
If you’re a Christian or if you’ve spent time in Christian circles, you’re probably familiar with the phrase, “to be in this world, not of it”. Is Jesus asking His followers to be social outcasts, completely removed from the rest of society? In this episode, we tackle this controversial question and discuss the importance of finding balance in our Christian lives. We are to be actively engaged in our societies, engaged with the people in our surroundings, but not allow their values and mindset to influence us. Our thoughts and actions should attract people to Christ - not the other way around.
Starting a new year is always exciting - it’s a chance to experience new things and accomplish new goals. Setting goals for yourself is a healthy and positive practice, even in your faith life. In this podcast, we talk about a few of the spiritual goals we hope to achieve in 2022 in an effort to inspire others to consider setting faith goals for this year. Whatever your goals are this year, spiritual or otherwise, make sure to commit them to God and let Him guide and help you to reach these goals!
For most people, Christmas is a special time to rest, reconnect, and recharge for a new year. But, there’s a lot more to Christmas than holiday parties, gift giving, and catching up on sleep. In this podcast, we discuss how, when you strip away all the extras, Christmas is really about hope. In fact, Christmas is not just a story of hope, it IS hope because the birth of Christ is the start of God’s plan to redeem and restore us to Himself. Christmas is part of a bigger story of God’s love for us and His desire to have relationship with us and help us to find our purpose again. When we celebrate Christmas, we are celebrating the arrival of hope who is Jesus Christ.
Do you struggle with sharing your faith with others? Are you willing to share but can’t seem to find effective ways to do it? In this episode, we discuss why it’s important to share our faith, along with some practical evangelism methods to help you be more intentional and effective in reaching others with the gospel. Using our own experiences and advice from other Christian leaders, we breakdown the motives, message, and methods of evangelism. We also discuss our role versus the role of the Holy Spirit, highlighting the harmony that exists between our efforts and the inner conviction that only the Holy Spirit can bring about. The more we look for opportunities to share our faith, the more we will find them, provided we are willing to be vessels of blessing.
For most people, every day, week, month, or year spent waiting can feel like a waste of time. But for God, our waiting period represents the time He is actively working in our lives to transform us to be who He wants us to be. In this episode, we discuss the purpose behind God’s delayed answers, including how to learn to value the waiting period. By looking at the stories of Abraham and the raising of Lazarus, we examine how God often comes through for us at the time when all hope is lost and there is absolutely nothing that can be been done to reverse our circumstances. The time we spend waiting for breakthroughs and answered prayers, God is teaching us to trust Him, depend on Him, and believe in His promises. First God changes who are, then He changes our circumstances.
The concept of worship is at the very heart of the Christian faith, and yet, a lot of people struggle to understand its relevance and/or experience its impact. For most people, Christian or otherwise, the word worship is synonymous with music. However, to limit worship to a musical genre or experience at a church gathering is missing the point. In this episode, we get to the heart of worship by unpacking Biblical truths and challenging prevalent cultural stereotypes. Worship is a mindset and lifestyle; it’s an every day, every moment reality that expresses outwardly the love we have for God within our hearts. Through worship, we get closer to God and that proximity is what makes transformation possible. A true worshipper of God is one who is ready and willing to surrender everything to God and give Him the first place in their life.
When we’re caught in the storms of life, do we surrender to fear or overcome through faith? The answer to this question is the focus of our podcast. In this episode, we tackle the topic of “faith”, including what it is and why it’s important to have, by looking at a story about Jesus and His disciples from the Book of Matthew, chapter 14. What the disciples experienced in the story shows us how God doesn’t always remove the storms from our lives, but teaches us to develop our faith to endure or overcome them. Faith involves action; it involves believing that Jesus can help us get through the storm. Even if we can’t see the light at the end of the tunnel, faith means believing that there is a light and that is only because of Jesus’ presence in our lives.
When a person becomes a Christian, they gain a new identity in Christ. But, our actions and behaviour still don’t match this new identity; we often still behave the way we did before we became part of God’s family. Why? Because our character hasn’t changed even though our identity has. In this episode, we tackle the topic of character transformation, including why it’s important and how God helps to change us overtime and through different experiences. Nearness to Christ brings likeness to Christ.
Looking for a podcast that covers Christianity 101? Click play. With our previous episode focusing on the realities of “sin” and “death” (a.k.a the bad stuff), this podcast shifts our focus The Solution to all our problems: Jesus Christ. In this podcast, we discuss the importance of self-reflection, accepting the fact that we are not what God created us to be, and the need for God’s salvation. There is nothing we can do to help ourselves. The only involvement we have in God’s salvation is to be the sinner. It’s all God. Accepting God’s salvation gives us a new life and a new identity that comes with belonging to God’s family.
The topic of “sin” is, without a doubt, one of the most spoken-about topics in the Christian faith. It’s also one of the most controversial. In this podcast, we offer some fresh insights on the issue of “sin”, from its impact on our human constitution to our misguided human tendency to rank sinful behaviour. To label “sin” as bad behaviour isn’t getting to the root of the issue. Sin is the outcome of independence from God, who is the source of all good. And where there is sin, there is death, because independence from God means independence from the source of life. Through analogies (and even a film reference) we tackle the tough questions on sin, in order to demonstrate the necessity for God’s “rescue plan” through Jesus Christ.
This podcast aims to answer the age old question: “Why am I here?”. Many people often go through life not knowing why they exist. If you don’t have the answer to this question, it’s time to find out. If you think you know, we’re here to shed more light for you.
In part two of our “Why is God Relevant?” series, we discuss how God is relevant to our every day life. Without God, life is hard. God makes life easier because He helps us get through each storm of life by reassuring us through His presence and suppling us with what we need to get by each day. Ultimately, we come to realize that He is all we really need, because in Him, we have everything.
We humans only find something relevant to our lives when it serves our interests or meets our needs. Otherwise, we don’t care. We often feel that God isn’t relevant because He doesn’t “add” anything to our lives. In part one of this series, we discuss how God is relevant to our lives because He gives us a reason to live...five actually. If you’re struggling to see His relevance in your life, this podcast series is for you.
