In the first Nana Scrappy Book we met Nana, her son Harold, her gardener Eugene O'Squirrel and Sparfield the huge Guineapig as they joined forces to rescue Nana's grand-dog Barry who had run away and gone missing.
Now Ryan Cochane brings us another delightful Nana Scrappy story. It's beautifully illustrated by Diana Dementeva. Nana's household is full of commotion from Christmas preparations. But mischievous Mortimer Mouse is on the loose.
Nana's gardener, Eugene O'Squirrel, must track the mouse down before he ruins Christmas. During the kerfuffle they come across a treasure map. Naturally, young grand-dog Barry and his bunny friend Bean want to investigate. What will it all lead to? Could it possibly be the mischievous Mortimer who stumbles on the secret of Christmas?
If you like dogs, squirrels, guinea pigs, visits to Nana, Christmas stories, and treasure maps you will enjoy reading this tale. It's entirely suitable for Grand Paw-rents to read aloud to grand dawgs and young dawgs to read to each other.

A book to help kids who have leukemia and their Grownups. They can read the book together and enjoy the pictures and talk about the treatment for leukemia.
On reading Chubby's Tale this grownup learned things about leukemia treatment he didn't know. It's a grand book for children who have this sickness (and their bears).
It's also very helpful for the Grownups who want to know more about it because the explanations given to Chubby by Dr Doll are so clear and understandable. Grownups and children can talk about it together as they read.
The Story: Chubby has a good job sitting on a shelf in the La La Land Toy Store waiting for someone to take him home. But he doesn't feel well.
Urged by his shelf neighbour, Superhero, he sets off to find help. Guardian Angel in the Christmas Department knows what Chubby has to do: he must see a Doctor. La La Land is a big store and Chubby has a long way to go. The yellow Beetle car takes him all the way.
Dr Doll gets right to work. Chubby learns about exams and blood tests and scientists and pharmacists and cancer cells. It's not good news! On the other hand, Dr Doll knows the right kind of treatment. She explains all about it with useful diagrams.
We follow Chubby's brave journey. The chemotherapy makes some of his hair fall out. Oh dear, who will take home from the shop a teddy with bald patches? How does it all work out? Well, that's all in this book which I recommend highly.
