Rabbi Joshua Maroof received his rabbinic ordination from Yeshiva Bnei Torah in Far Rockaway, NY, his BA with Honors in Psychology from SUNY Stony Brook, and his Masters in Educational Psychology from the CUNY Graduate Center. He has been a member of the rabbinic staff of the United Mashadi Jewish Community (UMJCA) for the past six years, helping meet the needs of its approximately 6500 congregants on a daily basis. In this capacity Rabbi Maroof currently serves as the spiritual leader of one of UMJCA’s three vibrant synagogues (Young Mashadi Jewish Center – Ohr Esther Congregation) and as the rabbinic head of its popular and dynamic Sephardic Bet Midrash.
Rabbi Maroof is also the founder and dean of Yeshivat Deah VeHaskel, an innovative online educational platform that electronically distributes written and audio Torah classes to thousands of committed subscribers ever day. For over twenty years, Rabbi Maroof has enjoyed a reputation as a widely sought-after pulpit rabbi, author, lecturer, educator and public speaker, and has had the privilege of teaching and learning from students of all ages, religious affiliations and backgrounds. He currently resides in Great Neck, NY, with his wife Elana and his six children, Netanel, Zehara, Yedidya, Zerachya, Tiferet and Amira.

Professor Tzvi Langermann has studied and worked at Boston University, Harvard, the Institute of Microfilmed Hebrew Manuscripts, and Bar Ilan University (Arabic Department). He has studied the literature of Yemeni Jewry for decades, and was a loyal participant in the twice-weekly shi'urim of the late Rabbi Yosef Qafih for twenty years. His most recent book, In and Around Maimonides, was published by Gorgias Press in 2021.

Rabbi Yitzhak Berdugo was born and raised in South Florida. After studying at Yeshivat Beth Moshe Chaim (Talmudic University) in Miami Beach, Rabbi Berdugo received his bachelors in Talmudic law and semikha under the auspices of the Rosh Yeshiva, Rabbi Yochanan Moshe Zweig SHeLIṬ”A. While studying in New York, Rabbi Berdugo also received his Yoreh Yoreh from Rabbi Eliyahu Ben Haim, Rosh Yeshiva and Av Bet Din of BaDa”Ṣ Mekor Haim, Queens, NY, followed by a Qabala in sheḥiṭa and in lung checking. He has written much on Sephardi Halakha in addition to translating the works of great Sephardi Rabbanim. Currently residing in Miami Beach, Florida, Rabbi Berdugo serves as the Rosh Kollel of the Bal Harbour Kollel and is also studying for Dayanut qualification through the Eretz Hemdah Institute of Jerusalem and the Montefiore Endowment.

Rabbi Hayyim Angel, who serves as National Scholar for the Institute for Jewish Ideas and Ideals, teaches advanced Tanakh courses to undergraduates and rabbinical students at Yeshiva University, and lectures widely. He received his B.A. in Jewish Studies from Yeshiva College, his M.A. in Bible from the Bernard Revel Graduate School, his M.S. in Jewish Education from the Azrieli Graduate School of Jewish Education, and his Rabbinical Ordination from the Rabbi Isaac Elchanan Theological Seminary of Yeshiva University. He has published over 100 scholarly articles, primarily in Tanakh, and is author or editor of thirteen books. He lives in New York with his wife and three children. Dayan Ofer Livnat serves as a Dayan on the Sephardi Beth of London. A graduate of the Eretz Hemdah Institute for Advanced Jewish Studies in Jerusalem, Dayan Livnat teaches in a number of programs for training rabbis and Dayanim, including the Semicha and Dayanut Programs run jointly by the Montefiore Endowment of London and Eretz Hemdah. A lecturer on Tanach at the Jerusalem College as well, Dayan Livnat has previously served in an artillery unit in the IDF and is currently studying for a PhD in Jewish studies at University College London.

Rabbi Dweck received his Semikha (rabbinic ordination) from Rabbi Ovadia Yosef under the auspices of the Sephardic Rabbinical College of Brooklyn, New York. He received a Master of Arts Degree in Jewish Education from Middlesex University at The London School of Jewish Studies.
Rabbi Dweck served as Rabbi of Congregation Shaare Shalom, a Syrian Sephardi synagogue of over 700 members, in Brooklyn, New York from 1999 to 2014 and also served as Headmaster of Barkai Yeshivah, a large Jewish day school in Brooklyn from 2010 to 2014. He has an eclectic taste in music and has received training as a hazzan in the Oriental Sephardi tradition by Rabbi Rephael Elnadav z”l and Cantor Moshe Habusha.
In his capacity as Senior Rabbi, Rabbi Dweck has the honour of being the Deputy President of the LSJS; a President of The Council of Christians and Jews and Ecclesiastical Authority of The Board of Deputies of British Jews. Rabbi Dweck also serves as a member of the Standing Committee of the Conference of European Rabbis.
Currently, Rabbi Dweck resides in London with his wife, Margalit, and five children.

He has an eclectic taste in music and has received training as a hazzan in the Oriental Sephardi tradition by Rabbi Rephael Elnadav z”l and Cantor Moshe Habusha.

He is also an ordained Orthodox Rabbi, having studied at various Israeli Rabbinical schools (Yeshivat Hakotel, Yeshivat Hamivtar, and Yeshivat Har Etzion).
Sam's academic interests span the philosophy of religion, metaphysics, epistemology, and the philosophy of language. He is also the co-founder and served as the founding chair of the http://www.theapj.com/ (Association for the Philosophy of Judaism).
As a Rabbi and Jewish educator, Sam teaches at the https://drisha.org/ (Drisha Institute for Jewish Education). Sam is also adjunct faculty at the https://www.pardes.org.il/ (Pardes Institute for Jewish Studies) and has been a scholar in residence for numerous communities around the world.

Bio: Rabbi Joseph Dweck is the Senior Rabbi of the S&P Sephardi Community of the United Kingdom.
Rabbi Dweck is American born and has lived in Los Angeles, California and Brooklyn, New York. He studied in Jerusalem at Yeshiva Hazon Ovadia under the tutelage of former Sephardi Chief Rabbi Ovadia Yosef z”l. He also studied psychology and philosophy at Santa Monica College in California and received a Bachelor of Arts degree in Liberal Studies from Excelsior College. Rabbi Dweck received his Semikha (rabbinic ordination) from Rabbi Ovadia Yosef under the auspices of the Sephardic Rabbinical College of Brooklyn, New York. He received a Master of Arts Degree in Jewish Education from Middlesex University at The London School of Jewish Studies.
Rabbi Dweck served as Rabbi of Congregation Shaare Shalom, a Syrian Sephardi synagogue of over 700 members, in Brooklyn, New York from 1999 to 2014 and also served as Headmaster of Barkai Yeshivah, a large Jewish day school in Brooklyn from 2010 to 2014. He has an eclectic taste in music and has received training as a hazzan in the Oriental Sephardi tradition by Rabbi Rephael Elnadav z”l and Cantor Moshe Habusha.
In his capacity as Senior Rabbi, Rabbi Dweck has the honour of being the Deputy President of the LSJS; a President of The Council of Christians and Jews and Ecclesiastical Authority of The Board of Deputies of British Jews. Rabbi Dweck also serves as a member of the Standing Committee of the Conference of European Rabbis.
Currently, Rabbi Dweck resides in London with his wife, Margalit, and five children.
