I came across the St. Sebastian's School Magazine this morning and am incredibly happy that I did. Of late, I have noticed that my sense of direction and purpose has not been as clear as it should be; I have somewhat lost sight of who I am and who I aspire toward.

I read Mr. Burke's address and was immediately reminded of my purpose.

From reading his address, I was re-inspired to continue on my journey to be the best man I can be in body mind and spirit. I was hit with a rush of gratitude for the numerous blessings I have had in my life.

I hope you find value from this address.

Justin has the mind of a pure entrepreneur. I resonated much of what he shared, as well as connected with some of the challenges and triumphs he experienced in his entrepreneurial journey. In one of my favorite episodes to this point, I believe that there is a ton of useful value to be gained from this conversation.

The mind is like a Herron on the hunt. There are a million little fish swimming around the Herron, and he could easily be tempted into chasing a million little fish that will never satisfy his hunger- leaving him forever hungry. The same is true for the mind. We have a million little thoughts each day, and if we react to all of them, we'll be running in circles getting nothing of meaning accomplished.

In this episode I read an excerpt from a piece called "How Will You Measure Your Life?" by Clayton M. Christensen which was posted in the HBR (Harvard Business Review). I found this piece to be very invigorating and energizing to double down on purpose going into the New Year. Christensen discusses how many successful business people fail to consider their life purpose leading a less fulfilling life. I think that as a college student, and as Christensen suggests, it is incredibly important to consider you purpose.

Hope you enjoy.

I would highly encourage any young adult seeking questions about fundamental moments in their lives to listen to this podcast. I break down some of the logical fallacies surrounding growing up and the path we should take when choosing a career. I begin with the idea of Job and how rather the choosing the job with the highest pay check, we should choose the job with the highest return on happiness as it logically just makes more sense. I then transition into relationships and how you can build your inherent value and level of attraction by simply changing your mindset around what is "cool." Finally, I conclude with conversation around the utilization of your most valuable asset- time. I break down how we should increase time spent on activities that are engaging and valuable to our future and minimize time spent on tasks we have minimal interest.

I hope you find value in this podcast. If you do, I would love to hear from you via DM, or you can share this podcast with a friend who may need it.
