June 18th celebrates Autistic Pride Day. This day encourages the celebration of autistic lives and the spread of education and awareness for the autistic community. We brought in as a special guest - Kristin King (they/them), who is a co-facilitator for Autism: Education and Equity - A Public Health Discussion and an autistic, queer and nonbinary advocate. They work for the Pima County Health Department COVID Schools team and were a co-founder of the Pima County Autism Project. Kristin is a student at Harvard College and will graduate in 2024. This conversation will help students and Penn State community members to know more about the importance of autism and LGBTQ+ education.
