Every week (or thereabouts) we'll go through what we're currently enjoying in the worlds of film, TV, music, games, comics and general pop culture. Your hosts are 'The Immortal' Kieran Shiach and 'The Icon' Shaun Keeney. Swearing and spoilers abound.
This is probably the most special episode of The Enthusiast that we've ever done. This past weekend, Kieran travelled to ThoughtBubble comic-convention in Leeds, and not only did he get pick up some cool stuff, but he managed to chat to a number of the best and brightest in comics about what they're currently enthusiastic about!
He also sat down with some comics bros to chat about the industry and it went into some... unexpected places at times, but this whole episode is an absolute hoot.
Forty whole episodes! We're making it happen, very slowly making it happen! Kieran and Shaun have finally made it back into the same room after being apart for far too long and you can cut the enthusiasm with a knife.
It's an extra long show this week as we have some pretty big TV news to chat about, as well as one of Shaun's favourite films of the year and which long running comic series has been giving Kieran, as the kids on Tumblr say, the feels.

That's right, the beloved Shaun Keeney is back on this week's Enthusiast, because how could we not get back together to talk about one of the biggest films all year, Disney/Pixar's Planes!
Oh wait, you meant Thor: The Dark World? Okay then, we'll talk about Thor instead, I guess. We've also got some late Halloween treats for you in this week's brand new Enthusiast!
For the first time in Enthusiast history, one of your beloved hosts was not free to record this week. Sometimes, real life gets in the way, and while we'd love to dedicate all of our time to the website, occasionally we have to resort to just 90% of it.
Nothing's going to stop us from bringing you your regularly scheduled podcast though, and this week, Kieran is joined by a very good friend of the show, The Outhouse's Niam Suggitt to talk about spies, superheroes and sketch shows.
This week on the show, we're back to our usual tricks as Kieran is once again recommending his favourite band (because he's not had a chance to listen to anything else), we talk about the changing nature of what constitutes a live album and at least one of us recommends the best worst TV show on screens at the moment.
We've also got some interesting news about Doctor Who, some disappointing news about the PS4 and the return of the best comic being published at the moment.
This week, we're getting ourselves ready for The Enthusiast's favourite holiday, Halloween! So it's only right that joining me for another episode of our comics specials is none other than the editor of (and contributor to) Monkeybrain's new horror anthology, Boo! Halloween Stories, "Calamity" Jon Morris!
It's a really fun chat that gets off topic in several bizarre ways, but mostly we talk about horror hosts, the ongoing desensitisation of violence in media, and Man of Steel spoilers.
