Welcome to the fifteenth episode of the Dyl Pickle Podcast's audio-exclusive show, DIVING INTO SIGHT & SOUND, where I will be going through every single movie on the 2022 Sight & Sound Poll from Number 100 all the way to Number 1. Hope you enjoy, and stay tuned for next week's episode, where I will be diving into a film from a monumental director whose resume I have shamefully seen none of. On episode twenty-seven of FRAMEWRECK (a show about so-bad-they're-good movies), channel creator Dylan Randazzo and bad movie expert Matt Chapmond talk about EIGHT films in honor of last month's St. Patrick's Day (and today's 4/20, another celebration of green), talking about the eight LEPRECHAUN films, and doing it March Madness style (appropriately in April, as the actual basketball tournament would also have it). We are joined by recurring guest on the show, CHRIS BAKER SCOTT, who we love having on to talk all things horror (and schlocky horror that is!). This topic was inspired by Dyl's mom, Becky, so thank you for the inspiration! What is YOUR favorite Leprechaun film? Do you like your horror scary, funny, or somewhere in between? Is a Leprechaun best served in space, in Vegas, in da hood? Have you ever seen a person split in half by a solar panel? Find out all our answers and more (including OUR pick for the most "Framewreck"ed Leprechaun film) in our bracket special now!

On episode twenty-five of FRAMEWRECK (a show about so-bad-they're-good movies), channel creator Dylan Randazzo and bad movie expert Matt Chapmond switch things up and dive into the realm of nostalgia in a new miniseries they like to call NOSTALGIA JUNCTION. In our first Nostalgia Junction episode, we look at the swashbuckling adventures of Matt's childhood, all of which Dyl had never seen before, those films being: The Pagemaster (1994), Disney's The Three Musketeers (1993), and Robin Hood: Prince of Thieves (1991). What makes the swashbuckling genre so timeless? What makes some of these iterations the best of their kind? Are these films merely good with nostalgia goggles or do they hold up today with a fresh eye? Find out all this and more on Framewreck: NOSTALGIA JUNCTION.

I've been working on this podcast for quite a bit, and since I'm on vacation, I figured this would be the perfect time to share my reviews for everything I saw at NYFF last month! The films included in this review roundup are: Todd Haynes' newest melodrama MAY DECEMBER, the Sofia Coppola film PRISCILLA, the new Michael Mann directed biopic FERRARI, Bradley Cooper's second directorial effort MAESTRO, Jonathan Glazer and A24's THE ZONE OF INTEREST, France's submission for best International Film at the Oscars THE TASTE OF THINGS, and a four-hour long documentary MENUS-PLAISIRS LES TROISGROS. I'm looking forward to seeing so many people's reactions to these films as they trickle out into limited and wide release (some already have at the time of releasing this video!). Let me know which films you're most excited for.

The major festivals are over, so it's time to assess the Oscar nomination race as of late. With films like American Fiction, Origin, and All of Us Strangers on the rise, is there bound to be a major upset or two in our midst? Has Scorsese's Killers of the Flower Moon hitting theatres helped or hurt its frontrunner status? Is Past Lives still A24's best bet? Does Billie Eilish get in WITH the Ken song, or do the Oscars break our hearts by only picking one? Find out my predictions now!

Matt Chapmond (co-host of Framewreck) joins me to debate which eerily similarly premised 2013 White House flick is the superior one of that year: OLYMPUS HAS FALLEN VS. WHITE HOUSE DOWN. We go through each element and compare the two films side by side and eventually reach a consensus (between ourselves) of the superior 2013 flick. This video is part of the 2013 Retrospective on the channel and on Dylan's Letterboxd (dylan_randazzo).
