To kickstart the next episode for the year, let us welcome our guest, Ms Izzana Salleh. She is the Co-Founder and the Global President of Project Girls4Girls. Project Girls4Girls is a Harvard Kennedy School born program by a group of postgraduate female leaders, from all across the globe, including Ms Izzana, as they realised that women globally are being held back from attaining their full potential in leadership. Together they strived to bridge this gap through Project Girls4Girls.
As many of us are young women progressing further into our futures, having leadership skills can help us in our careers and even in our daily lives. It is crucial that every girl is empowered with great role models to follow in their footsteps.

In this episode, we have a special guest which is Nur Hasya Binti Hasshim, a social and political activist who is currently the deputy chairwoman of Mahasiswa Keadilan Malaysia. She began her journey 8 years ago when she first started teaching urban poverty, stateless kids in Kuala Lumpur. She was also previously involved with Sidang Wanita Muda Selangor 2023 and Adun Muda Virtual Selangor for N14 Rawang in 2020. Other than that, she also served as the director for MKM’s International Women's Day 2022 program and the educational talk show “Siswa Tanya Pakar Jawab''. But the list doesn't stop there, she also was actively engage with MYDIPLOMACY in their 2023 committee, where she notably contributed to shaping the Youth, Peace, and Security agenda and participated in the United Nations Office on Drugs and Crime’s Synthetic Drug Strategy Consultation In December 2022, representing both MYDIPLOMACY and herself. MS Hasya definitely has a lot of experience so let's dive in to learn more about aher and hopefully also learn from her .

In this episode, we are privileged to hear from our special guest who is none other than Davina Devarajan. She is the Founder and Executive Director of Women for Refugees, a non-profit organisation committed to solving the poverty crisis through pursuing the economic narrative, crowdfunding, education and civic engagement. She has spent over the last 5 years working on women empowerment issues, in her role as Global Management Secretariat and Campaigns Lead in Project Girls 4 Girls - a Harvard-backed NGO working to empower young women into political and public leadership. Davina currently works as a public sector transformation consultant in her professional capacity tackling economic development in public institutions within the Central East African Region.

To celebrate Hari Merdeka 2022, in this episode, Parliwomen's PR and Marketing Associate Director, @Anisa Aqilah will be in conversation with Noor Netusha Nusaybah, the President of Imagined Malaysia. She will share her insights into the role women play in history and her story of how she discovered her great-grandmother was in the Rani of the Jhansi Regiment of the Indian National Army. Netusha has also kindly shared with us lots of resources for us to learn more about women’s history.
