In this podcast I talk about Ethan Newman, a talented musician from Phoenix, Arizona, who passed away from covid complications in late December of 2020. I speak with people who knew Ethan in an attempt to learn more about him, and also honor and celebrate his life.
This week is the second half of my interview with Kathleen Newman. She shares more memories and answers some of my questions.
My guest this week is Kathleen Newman, Ethan's mom. In this first part of our conversation, she talks about some of Ethan's adventures, and shares stories of her time with him. Kathleen opens up a window to her relationship with her son, and helps us get to know him better.
In this week's episode I speak with Keirsten Newman, Ethan's wife. She shares memories and stories of her short time with Ethan, and gives us example of how they shared a decade's worth of love and happiness in a little over two years. We also learn how they met and fell in love.

Today's guest is Chris Reidy, a professor of percussion and gigging drummer in the Phoenix area. Chris performed with Ethan in several projects and got to know him well over the years of their friendship. He talks about how he met Ethan, and remembers his time with him fondly.

In this bonus episode, Stefan Platamone shares some audio and video of Ethan from his personal archives. He put together a very special collection of early music recordings, texts, messages, and even some childhood skits that they put together and recorded. This episode is a truly beautiful one that will be a joy to listen to for anyone who knew and loved Ethan.
