In this epic episode, Neil chats with Grant Trebilco, founder of One Wave Foundation and 'One wave is all it takes', a movement born on the beaches of Bondi that not only saved Grant's life but now spreads 'stoke factor' on beaches across the globe. The now-famous 'Floor Fridays' are weekly meet-ups where people gather in illumines clothing for circles of trust, followed by a dip in the ocean or surf and then coffee chats after.
The weekly meet-ups had a special guest not too long ago when Royals Harry and Megan visited them, just showcasing the magnitude and reach of what Grant the movement is doing.
We explore in the chat Grant's own story and struggles with having bipolar, depression, and what led him to One Wave. He and Neil chat about life in general, the stresses of everyday life and the importance of having a support network around you.

It's our season one finale and what a way to end it. We sat down (in person) at the Coogee Pavilion in Sydney to chat to TV host and radio presenter and journalist, Osher Günsberg. Famous for being the host of the reality TV series The Bachelor Australia, The Bachelorette Australia and also Bachelor in Paradise Australia. He's also an author, cyclist, photographer and has his own podcast(s); DadPod and Better Than Yesterday.
But in more recent years, Osher has also become one of the leading advocates for mental health here in Australia. Osher has been very open and public about his own struggles namely with depression, anxiety, social anxiety disorder, obsessive compulsive disorder, agoraphobia, psychosis, alcoholism, and suicidal ideation. He's written his own memoirs entitled Back, After the Break, which has been a real hit.
It was an honour for us to be able to chat to Osher and also to hear his candid thoughts and to share real conversations with him. His advocacy alone is helping tear down the wall of stigma around mental health and it's so great to have someone of his public stature bringing the topic to everyday conversation.
The guy is just such an inspiration. On top of all of the above, he's a family man, eats plant based and has also been on the cover of Men's Health Magazine.
A thoroughly enjoyable chat and we just wish we had more time with this absolute hero.

In the aftermath of this year’s International Women’s Day, we sat down with Mettle cofounder, Bronwyn Bate, the domestic violence charity whose ethical gifts give back, based in Perth. Their social enterprise employs women who have experienced homelessness as a result of domestic and family violence.
FAMILY, DOMESTIC AND SEXUAL VIOLENCE IS THE LEADING CAUSE OF HOMELESSNESS IN AUSTRALIA.
But this year, with IWD in mind, we wanted to spark some conversation that is great to have in the lead up and during this day each year, but like many other issues, these are conversations that need to be had daily. And when we chatted to Bronwyn in the lead up to this interview, we were shocked by the figures and statistics she stated around the issue; which quite frankly, is at a crisis point.
What a fabulous inspiration she is, supporting the 25 women of Mettle with zero funding currently from the government, all supported by the gifting products they sell plus their philanthropic element of the business. One can only imagine the stress, anxiety and emotional turmoil these women go through just to survive and just to keep their family going. Find out just how they are coping and how their mental health is effected in the episode.

Luckily, Hugh survived this attack and battled through this time in his life to create the amazing not for profit 'book to make you smile' - Pocket Smiles. David O'Connor's story is arguably a tale any one of us would be jealous to achieve. It's a true quintessential immigration story. David's parents (both from Ireland), moved to Australia to set up a civil engineering firm called, Diona, that started in 1980. Becoming one of the biggest firms in the whole of New South Wales, David rose through the ranks of the family business ultimately to be its head boss, as CEO.
But his story has been anything but linear. He's a three-time cancer survivor, he's suffered with anxiety from the affects of running the family business, which in turn, was sold and then bought back again, not to mention stewarding its 2,000+ works in the construction industry where mental health was - and is - a real issue.
In this episode, David regales growing up in Australia with his Irish roots and how some of the cultural aspects of being Irish hold both positive and negative impacts. But this tale is one of ultimate success. A family man, David is married with four children and now lives down the south coast from Sydney, living his best life.
When we think of people who we can aspire to be, often we might think of a Richard Branson or a Leonardo Di Caprio, but David arguably has built the perfect life and runway that many would envy. An overall top guy, he's now giving back to the community around the topic of mental health. Diona, and its sister businesses, smashed their initial goal of raising $1m for batyr (a mental health charity for the youth), but now aims for that same target on an annual basis - backed by him and his thousand plus staff of blue and white collar workers.
A true hero in our opinion.
This episode features founder of the Lung Club Ed Jennings. Ed is an endurance runner who has used his passion for running to create the lung club community. The group meets regularly to walk or run together as a way of improving mental and physical health.
Ed is a big mental health advocate and much of the works he does is around increasing awareness around the topic.
The episode discusses the benefits of exercise on the brain, the dark side of being addicted to exercise the power of community, resiliency and of course Eds on take on mental health.
This week's episode shares the incredible story of Hugo Toovey. Hugo is an army captain who has successfully beaten cancer twice.
He has since become a well recognised advocate for mens health through his organisation 25 Stay Alive.
This story is very inspirational and the impact Hugo is now having in the health space because of it is phenomenal.
