Aveen talks with Kerry Wickman.
Kerry shares, "I often say that I have been feeding either the body or the soul most of my career. I was a personal chef and caterer for about 25 years. Then I shifted careers and became a hospice social worker. I now practice therapy at an addiction and trauma treatment center.
My interest in death and dying (which I have studied for over 30 years) came from the death of my high school boyfriend to Leukemia and then his mom 2.5 years later to MS, though her death always felt more attributed to a broken heart. My brother's death 12 years ago was the impetus for finally going back to school to get my Masters so I could work with the terminally ill. I've been studying NDE's for 30 years to get some sense of where my loved ones are. It has given me the most tremendous sense of peace and calm about death, and even sometimes feelings of, shall we say, "envy" towards those who have had the privilege of passing on. The work I do in addiction and trauma with my clients is highly influenced by spirituality, seeking beauty and grace as we navigate the complexity and chaos of living this Earth-life amidst such suffering and pain."

Aveen interviews Anthony McMorran. Anthony is a massage therapist, yogi, writer and co-owner of Tuning Tree Healing Services in Eau Claire, Wisconsin. We talk about his new children's book, the power of words to create our reality and how getting older can be pretty amazing.
Anthony McMorran discovered yoga philosophy in the late 1970s with a copy of The Upanishads that he found at a bookstore in his hometown of Vancouver, British Columbia. Around the same time, he took his first meditation class which fueled his interest in yoga and self-inquiry. Always feeling an outsider with an early difficulty for putting into words the thoughts and feelings of a tumultuous childhood, meditation and the ideas he found in Eastern and mystical philosophies gave him a sense of peace.
A creative writing class in high school introduced him the tools and structure to begin to develop self-expression and he continued his writing studies for a year of college with British Columbia poet Sharon Thesen.
After studying at the West Coast College of Massage Therapy 1987-1989, Anthony became a practicing massage therapist and owned and operated a successful clinic in Powell River, BC, until moving to the United States to open Tuning Tree Healing Services with his wife Katie McMorran.
He has continued to write throughout his life and his articles and poetry have appeared in the Elephant Journal and local newspapers and publications.
Hi first children's book Where Do Words Come From will be published in November of 2022 and he is writing a book on mindfulness called Mindfulness Made Real.
Anthony Lives in Eau Claire, Wisconsin with his wife and three young children.
Aveen speaks with Kristen Ragusin, author of "The End of Scarcity: The Dawn of the new abundant world." The book is out now and you can find it anywhere you purchase books.
Long form:Kristen’s interest in money began as a child as she studied the stock and bond markets with her father to earn her allowance. She grew up seeing the markets as a tool of empowerment but all that changed when she saw the coming financial crisis of 2008. Sensing something was amiss in her world view, she discovered everything she knew about money was wrong. Through a shocking revelation she learned that what we use as money today works against us, creating perpetual suffering and scarcity.
This sent her on a seven year journey around the world to find another way to create money. She uncovered a new way so simple and so beautiful, a new way already beginning to emerge. Preparing to unleash the natural abundance that exists, we stand on the precipice of the coming revolution of how we do money. Unstoppable, it comes closer every day. Reading her book will take you from grief, fear and scarcity to hope, love and abundance.
Kristen is a professional wealth management consultant with twenty-five years of experience. Investing over $150 million, she helps clients navigate markets and achieve financial goals. She is a certified digital currency professional and earned her Masters Degree from the Fletcher School of Law and Diplomacy at Tufts University. Kristen holds certificates in FinTech from the Massachusetts Institute of Technology and in Money and Society from the University of Cumbria, London. She loves the adventure of Life and everything it brings from the many kinds of people to the wonders of Nature. She has traveled throughout the world. Her many journeys include climbing Mount Kilimanjaro, hiking through the Sahara desert and studying at a spiritual school located in the foothills of Southern India.

I am one who found herself with chronic health pain and issues at twenty-four, within a ten-year period of wrestling with bulimia nervosa, with chronic excruciating menstrual pain. Over the last decade, I have invested and devoted myself to becoming whole. These bodily sufferings led me into talk therapy, cranial sacral therapy, network spinal analysis, Rolfing, psychedelic-assisted therapy, earth-based ceremony, energy healing, holistic nutritional support, contemplation practice through the Christian mystic path, and Buddhist psychology." Aveen has a conversation with Nathan Warren about building conscious community in our world- through weekly gatherings in our homes, in our organizations and our nations. Nathan is an earthling, a lover of life. He is a co-creator, along with his wife Amanda, with two beautiful children, Magnolia and Finn. He is a blue heart 💙, meaning he believes in love like a river, a wellspring, filled with the potential to flow out from each one of us into the world, bringing life to all that it touches, just as a river brings life to every valley it flows through. Nathan is the co-founder of Heart River 💙, a nested valley community dreamed into existence in Oregon's coastal range mountains, just west of Philomath, and he is the co-creator of the Community of Love and Appreciation (COLA), an online community inspired by just 3 words “Love and Appreciation”, and woven together by a belief in the shared reality of life on earth. 🌱🌏 Nathan is the co-author of Conscious Community Theory, an organizational function theory that seeks to put all human designed systems, technologies, and processes in service to life on earth through the elevation of human awareness, and through the softening of human purpose. He is a grapegrower and winemaker and co-owner of Harris Bridge Vineyard, Winery and Distillery. He teaches Corporate Finance at the University level, where he asks students to wrestle with the sources and drivers of value within a living world. And, he is a Legal Information Officer with the State of Oregon where he works in support of the humanization of the correctional system through the Oregon Way.
Nathan loves moments immersed in water, in music and poetry, and in the presence of loves. He believes in realities like you, the forest, the ocean, gravity and sunlight, and he believes in ideas like original love and native intelligence. His daily practices are observing, understanding, and learning, and his vision is for a world that blooms into a partnership ecosystem, flowing love and appreciation for life in all directions at once. Aveen talks with Allison Davies about the importance of music for feeling safe, using musical mantra to enhance our lives and the importance of recognizing and nurturing neurodivergent beings. I loved speaking with Allison! A little about Allison: Allison Davies creates online resources for parents, educators and support staff and works with schools to deliver professional development around the topics of childhood brain development and the use of music as a regulatory tool. She is an independent liberatory scholar currently exploring the gatekeeping and classism of the social construct ‘musical vs non musical’. A former Registered Music Therapist of 16 years, Alli left the Allied Health industry in 2021 in order to align her work more deeply with culturally responsive practices and to switch her focus from individual change to socio cultural change. Alli is an autistic person with attention, sensory processing and executive functioning difficulties. She works within a neurodiversity framework that favours deep acceptance and regulation over assimilation and intervention, and shares her lived experience of autism openly within her seminars, workshops and conferences as part of her ‘emotive storytelling mixed with science’ approach to education. https://www.allisondavies.com.au https://www.facebook.com/allisondavies.com.au/ https://www.youtube.com/c/AllisonDaviesMusicandTheBrain/featured

Her approach to osteopathic medicine is rooted in Cranial Osteopathy, a hands-on, evidence-based therapeutic practice that sources both western & eastern philosophies to support the body’s ability to heal itself.
She shares practices and insights for awakening the doctor that resides within each of us, for connecting with who we really are and for living in alignment with nature.
