P.S. DISCLAIMER ABOUT AYAHUASCA:

Ayahuasca is a plant-based psychedelic brew traditionally used by indigenous people in the Amazon basin for healing, spiritual, and religious purposes. It contains compounds such as DMT (dimethyltryptamine) and harmala alkaloids, which induce altered states of consciousness when ingested.

Many individuals and researchers consider Ayahuasca to be a potent tool for personal growth, spiritual exploration, and therapeutic intervention. Some potential benefits attributed to Ayahuasca include:

  1. Healing Trauma: Ayahuasca ceremonies are often reported to facilitate the processing and healing of emotional traumas, including PTSD, depression, and anxiety.
  2. Increased Self-Awareness: Ayahuasca experiences can lead to profound insights into one’s thoughts, emotions, and behaviors, fostering self-awareness and self-understanding.
  3. Spiritual Exploration: Many participants describe encounters with profound spiritual or mystical experiences during Ayahuasca ceremonies, leading to a deeper connection with themselves, others, and the universe.
  4. Addiction Treatment: Some research suggests that Ayahuasca may be effective in treating substance abuse disorders by helping individuals confront and address the underlying causes of addiction.
  5. Cognitive Benefits: Preliminary studies indicate that Ayahuasca may enhance cognitive flexibility, creativity, and problem-solving abilities.

It’s important to note that Ayahuasca is a potent psychedelic substance that should be approached with caution and respect. Ceremonies are typically conducted in a supportive and ceremonial setting under the guidance of experienced facilitators, often referred to as shamans or healers.

The distinction between Ayahuasca as a medicine versus a drug lies in its cultural context, ceremonial use, and intentionality. Unlike recreational drugs, which are often used for hedonistic purposes or escapism, Ayahuasca is approached with reverence and intentionality, with the aim of facilitating healing, growth, and spiritual insight.

However, it’s essential to acknowledge that Ayahuasca is not without risks, and it may not be suitable for everyone, particularly those with certain medical conditions or mental health concerns. Safety precautions, thorough preparation, and integration support are crucial aspects of responsible Ayahuasca use.

Overall, Ayahuasca’s value as a medicine lies in its potential to catalyze profound personal and spiritual transformation when used mindfully and respectfully within a supportive ceremonial context.

In this episode, Bailey interviews Jennifer Wielage & Danielle Ford, the Mindrise team, to talk about burnout. You will learn how to detect burnout symptoms and how to recover from it.

Burnout is a result of excessive and prolonged emotional, physical, and mental stress. Quite often, burnout is related to one’s job.

It happens to everyone some time or another. One is busy going here and there — working, helping others, or taking care of our families. Sometimes, one gets too busy and forgets to take a step back and rest. That is when burnout can occur. And let's not forget that high levels of reactivity lead to high levels of cortisol.

Jennifer, Danielle and Bailey dive deep into what is burnout and the importance of getting yourself on a regular schedule, checking in with yourself and identifying your smoke alarms. Furthermore they share tons of advice on how to recover from this swamped feeling and regain a balanced happy life back.

Human design is a user manual to learn more about YOU: your personality, emotions, and energy centers so that you can be who you truly came here to be with ease and alignment. In fact, human design breaks down how you are wired to make decisions and respond to the world.

Much like astrological birth charts, this is a system based on your exact time, date, and place of birth. This doesn't just map where the planets were in the sky when you were born but also identifies your dominant electromagnetic hot spots to create your personal body graph.

This is a mindblowing conversation. We dive deep into the human design’s creation story, how it works, and the four elementary aspects of this system. Dive in! Discover your own human design chart!

In this episode, Bailey welcomes back Gervase Kolmos, an intuitive mindset coach and hypnotherapist. This time, they talk about how to get into a relationship with yourself.

We are all exposed to social conditioning. It is about how we fit in, act, eat, dress and think the way we do. Since the moment we are born, we are taught what to do. We are conditioned by parents, family, school, the media, the laws, and even political and religious leaders.

But, did we choose this, or is it something that we have been conditioned to do? Is this something I want to continue with, or does it come to battle with my own core beliefs?

Gervase and Bailey talk about how women can heal their own traumas, discover who they really are and what they truly desire in life while parenting or managing a business.

This is the 2nd episode of the 3-part series from the Mindrise Raw Conversations Series. In this episode, Bailey and Summer Deaver have a truthful and open conversation about the future of business and our new reality after the pandemic situation. They discuss the new scenario and where work is going. Plus, they will help you see and have a better understanding of what creating our own reality implies and how it affects the way we interact with each other.

After the pandemic, the world of business shifted, and it is still quite confusing to see the whole panorama. They talk about the current ideas and concepts that became the core of this new era; how businesses are going back to finding connections. These changes are not just at a professional level, there is a deep personal change in people, so it seems almost impossible not to embrace it and start building our realities from that new perspective.

What are we supposed to do? And what is the role of AI in all this? Bailey and Summer introduce the concept of Artificial Intelligence and how it can or might influence our lives. They open a different path to start questioning the value of technology and machines, and whether they are necessary to evolve as human beings or not.

Finally, they invite us to think about our narratives, the realities we create as we explore life. They believe that curiosity is a powerful catalyst to build your reality and live your life the way you decide to do it, having the chance to explore and learn from the “I” and not from another person’s narrative.

  • (00:00) Introduction
  • (00:45) The future of business and jobs.
  • (03:06) What is the role of AI in this new reality?

Summary of the episode

Are things changing? Melanie Joy talks about how things change when we heal the Inner Mother and start living the life we want. She describes feminine and masculine archetypes, these energies we have in our bodies and that, in most cases, keep us from thriving because we are using them incorrectly.

We can tell our stories by who we are and not by programming. Bringing that subconscious programming to a conscious level to respond from that perspective, knowing what was past history, so you can do things differently. On the other hand, working with masculine and feminine archetypes help us understand how we are shaped to start changing our narrative.

Our hero/heroine's journey is not fixed, and it varies according to each person. In a patriarchal society it seems to be organic, and then we find lots of people not knowing who they are because they get lost in that programming. Healing The Mother within us, by giving her the place she has in ourselves, knowing what she presents to help us find who we are and what we want to experience in life.

All the energies live in us, we need to get them all together consciously to become “whole” again. Cultivate the Inner Mother within us, the Mother Earth and the Great Cosmic Mother above us to heal the Inner Mother's wound to find where your passion, your work lies.

What does it mean to be emotionally available for a relationship? In some cases, wanting a relationship does not necessarily mean to be available to have one. Stereotypes tend to play an important role when it comes to face what we want in a relationship or how we want to experience it. Recognizing if we are open and available is the foundation to what comes late in our life.

It is up to us to know if we are ready to have a love relationship and not other's responsibility. Owning our feelings and emotions makes us available for new relationships, love that actually reflects what we want for us. It is necessary to find out who we are, what we want because we need to understand who we are before we commit to somebody else. Which are our boundaries? What do we want to experience?, and how do we want to feel?

Every single person that comes in our life is a soulmate. There is always something to learn, and we need to be able to decode that to find the learning or healing behind that relationship and understand that it is part of our journey. It will help us be present and enjoy the present time.

Bailey and Kimberly discuss the concept of pleasure in connection to leadership and entrepreneurship.

Many people believe and live their lives thinking that pleasure is not connected with their work, and it might just be linked to sexuality. However, they explore different aspects of our daily life in which pleasure should be present to make us feel happier and, as a consequence, live better lives.

What is more, Kimberly tells her personal experience with pleasure, knowing herself and being a successful businesswoman who helps others find their way, as well. She was able to make huge changes in her personal and professional life, which led her to be happy and satisfied.

They strongly advise that the first step to add pleasure to our life is identifying what gives us pleasure, even if you think that is small. Then, we should all take the time and space to deal with deep things like traumas to heal and turn our lives into positive and happy lives.

Finally, Bailey and Kimberly jump into the narrative of ‘how people react to our changes and improvements’. They claim that we are not responsible for their experience of us, and we should not base our decision having that in mind.

Bailey and Jackie discuss the importance of prioritizing wellness on a daily basis. We have a choice as regards feeling well, energized and healthy. It should be everyone's priority to be healthy, exercising and eating what is good for our body.

Jackie walks us to the process we should follow to know our best hours to do exercise and to know what is best for our body. She says that every person can find at least 30 min 3 times a week to move the body. But in order to do that, we need to prioritize what is important to us and commit to that activity. This is a long term commitment, we start today, and we get benefits in the future.

She created an online fitness program to help people exercise easily taking into account each person's routine and needs. Heath and wellness should be part of our everyday life activities and not something imposed or forced.

TheLab, her online business, contains her own method to exercise your body. She created a fun method called Rhythm Lab and then, because of the pandemic situation, she moved it online. Plus, she added all her expertise on sequencing exercises and fun. Now, it is a complete program for those who want to improve their health and wellness and don't know where to start.

In this episode, Kierstin Gant talks about body positivity and the unlearning of diet culture from a mental health perspective. She dives into the transition towards health positivity and good communication with our bodies.

Her personal experience led her to become a coach and help other women overcome fear and embrace their emotions to build healthy habits in connection to food and how they transmit those healthy habits positively to their kids.

It is important to have respect and appreciation for our bodies. Plus, we need to change the way we talk to ourselves and others about our physical appearance. We should be kind, respectful and grateful for what our body allows us to accomplish. Moreover, we have to change the speech around diet culture. Each of us needs to find what ‘healthy’ means and build from there. We need to have a different conversation with our body, instead of negative, we need to make it positive. Our body knows exactly what to do, so we need to unlearn what we have been taught about food and trust our gut.

Getting present to our thoughts and emotions, knowing that food is not a moral issue, it is not good or bad. We must learn about emotions to model it to the kids. As parents, we need to trust our kids´ intuitive eating. We don't have to eat everything that is on a plate. We must trust them and be supportive by letting them be free and make their decisions according to their needs for food.

Megan Callus walks us through the power of breathwork and its ability to heal the body. She states that we are not fully aware of the impact breathwork can have on our mental and physical struggles. Our breath is much more powerful than we know of, and it has a great impact on our sleep, digestive functions, heart rate, blood pressure, and many other systems in our bodies.

She provides some practical tips for us to do at home, focusing on the breathing purpose of each technique. She claims that it is important to understand our body in order to practice a certain technique or choose another one. It is not the same to breath work for relaxation than to do it to boost our energy levels. Breathing techniques can be applied to many contexts, and they will depend on the goal we want to achieve.

What is more, she explains how breath impacts various physiological and neurological systems and how to use breath to become more resilient from stress, improve our sleep, increase our immune response, reduce pain, increase our energy, and help us feel more calm, vibrant and focused. Incorporating breathwork in our daily routine will help us balance our physical and mental health, as well as control our emotions.

In this episode, Bailey interviews Kate Snowise, an Industrial & Organizational Psychologist/Executive Coach. Kate addresses how burnout occurs due to prolonged exposure to stress, and how the key to recovering from burnout is unlocking the stress process. Based on a psychological model of stress and coping, Kate discusses three different types of coping – Mindset, Action & Nourishment – and how we can incorporate associated behaviors into our regular routines.

Kate experienced burnout while moving to the States from New Zealand, being a mum of two and suffering from culture shock. From her personal experience she was able to identify what was going on with her, why she was stressed out and then, pivot to thrive. Thriving is a natural process for her, she was able to chase her passion and find her truth to be more intentional with her life, as well.

Many things might happen at the same time, even if they seem to be ‘chaotic’, we might find the ‘aha’ moment. Then, we realize that we can shift our path, choose something different and create from who we truly are. We are biologically wired to seek pleasure and avoid pain, so we have the energy, the willpower to change our life and find what we desire.

Burnout is a state we can overcome when we find our own truth, who we are and what we actually want to pursue. Intentionality is what takes us there. Which are our intentions? What do we want? Self-discovery is the starting point to find our truth, trust yourself and see the path clearly. The more we discover about ourselves, the less ‘fog’ we are going to find towards our vision.

Creating and deepening self-knowledge while creating a safe space for us to be faithful to what we want to achieve, get us to our goal. So every time the path seems to deviate, we can go back to our vision, intentions and readjust our actions.

Moreover, if we want to be good leaders, we need to know how to lead ourselves. Leadership starts with phenomenal self-leadership. In this way, we can be more authentic and genuine leaders. Acknowledging our strengths, our value and our natural behavior is what makes us good at what we do. We should build our Confidence through self-knowledge. Knowing who we are deep down is what makes each of us thrive.

You probably have a “to do” list, but do you have a “to feel” list?

You might often find yourself on the go, doing the next thing on your list and checking all the boxes that will lead you to your ultimate goal. However, this sometimes becomes a barrier that separates you from your feelings and your “why”. Why are you doing the things you are doing and do they connect with what you truly want or are you acting on the expectations and narrative of society?

After building a million dollar business and becoming one of Forbes’ 40 under 40, Sam Kabert realized he only felt emptier than when he first started on his entrepreneurial journey. This led him to embark on a path of connection with his own spirituality, and he talks about the importance of allowing yourself to feel as well as to connect with your masculine and femenine energies. He also talks about the many projects he is currently working on and the role spirituality has in helping him face his fears and keeping his perspective regarding what is truly important.

However, once you do the inner work and realize your true potential, you will be able to switch from a this OR that mindset to a this AND that mindset. It’s not easy, but as long as it’s aligned to who you are and what you want, you will be on the right path towards fulfilling your purpose.

You might have felt more than once in your life that you’re playing a role, or resisting yourself to be able to show who you “should” be. Being who you are, accepting yourself, and allowing yourself to express who you truly are can be a liberating experience.

In this episode, Kristine Deer opens up about her journey to self-acceptance, what motivated her to talk about her depression in 2016 and come out as gay in 2020. She talks about how important it is to address the stigma around mental health, and about asking for help and accepting it when you need it. She also talks about the empowering feeling of speaking your truth. Kristine and Bailey talk about the vicious cycle between hiding yourself and shame, which brings down your energy levels and can place you in a situation of despair. They also talk about how willingness and courage can be the turning point when it comes to making a positive change in your life.

Kristine highlights that the realization of the fact that you are better than what you’re allowing yourself to be is what helps you get that willingness to change. While this is a difficult and painful journey, it will allow you to become who you truly are. If you instead try to bypass this process by numbing your feelings or wanting to learn what you’re supposed to learn immediately, then you will face frustration and prolong this process. You can build this courage and willingness as time goes by, and it will take you the time it will take you, which is okay. Everyone’s journey is different. You can also make the changes you need in your environment to help you move forward and grow. You have the power to change your life.

Being productive has probably become an ingrained part of your mindset. However, how useful is it to you to be productive for productivity’s sake? You might be keeping a perfect schedule, but the idea is for your productivity to be aligned with your purpose. Also, it’s important that your schedule matches your lifestyle, allowing you to enjoy your day more.

In this episode, we talk with Mindrise Coach Cayla Brewton and broach topics such as the importance of planning your schedule according to your life and what you want. We also talk about having compassion for yourself when you don’t cross off all the things on your to-do list. Bailey will also guide you through a meditation to help you connect with what your ideal day looks like. This can help you better understand how to plan your day in a way that brings you joy and gratitude.

Also, we talk about how to incorporate parts of your ideal day into your present. You might not have the whole picture now, but you can implement pieces of it daily. You should do this slowly, taking action in a progressive way. This is your life, and you deserve and can get what you want. However, it’s instrumental that you identify what that is first. Time-management should be secondary to the life you want for yourself.

Have you ever asked yourself, “what is my purpose?” Knowing what your purpose in life is can be hard to understand. One of the first things you need to know is who you are, a question that you might avoid sometimes. This is especially true when it goes against preconceptions you might have of yourself of what has been predetermined by society. In order to find your purpose you have to be able to open up to new ideas but also be able to look back. When you look back at your younger self, you might find that you had greater confidence in your beliefs before the world told you who you were.

In this episode, we talk about how to connect with yourself to identify your purpose and commit to it. We also talk about the importance of taking a look at what your dreams were and where you are right now regarding them. Did you give up on your big ideas? Are you living them right now? We talk about how connecting with your inner child can give you a different perspective regarding where you are right now and where you want to be.

We also talk about identifying what feels good to you, what makes you feel alive, which leads you to your true purpose in life.

When it comes to changing your life plans or reacting to external events, it might feel like you are giving up. However, this narrative can set you in the place of the victim, where it’s more difficult to recover. This will frame your perspective of things and can influence your next actions. If you learn to surrender, you can more easily adapt to these changes, and accept yourself and your motivations in a better way.

In this episode, we talk about the difference between surrendering and giving up, how important it is to know yourself to be able to surrender, and how your narrative can impact your life. We talk about how not getting an answer is a type of answer, just as choosing not to act actually is an action. We also touch on how to surrender when life doesn’t go as planned and how important it is to listen to yourself to be able to do what feels good to you.

Not listening to yourself can lead you to stay in situations that are not making you happy at all, just because it was your original plan. This resistance, this lack of surrender, is one of the things that can hold you back and stop you from achieving your true purpose in life.
