Hello listeners! Getting back into the swing of things looking at research around wearing masks due to Covid, does it impact exercise or just our perception? Also looking at how people respond to exercise recommendations when we identify with their beliefs attitudes and values rather than an info dump. In this episode, we will also briefly cover the idea of living in a mundane stress society and the importance of upregulating your stress threshold as well as finding ways to get below it. Hello, curious minds! This week we are going over some common faults I have personally witnessed, that has impeded not only others performance but also my own. We discuss the importance of patience in the body when moving large loads and letting momentum be your friend! Also going over weakness work- not only from an athlete's perspective but for coaches too. Do we need 1,000 cues to make our athletes better, or do we need them to focus on just one? Lastly, we discuss the importance of dropping the ego and letting critical feedback from a valued source help shape you into the person you are meant to be!

Does all that fancy gear we strap around our various body parts actually do us any good? Well, it makes us look good, but what if I told you that our bodies are so capable, we really have to supplement them rarely at all? This is a lesson I am still learning but I am encouraged to share with you all some pros and cons to things like knee sleeves, wrist straps, lifting shoes, and more. The COVID-19 pandemic dealt everyone a different card, some were bad, some were terrible, and we all played our hands in different ways. However, this doesn't have to be the end of the story! One thing that came out of the pandemic was an increased level of depression and anxiety within students, but something else we learned is how important it is for us to exercise outside and spend time with other people. In this episode, we dive more into what that means and how it can help us develop the lifestyle we desire.
