Betrayed by the church? Jesus knew betrayal more than anyone. 

Jesus said FOLLOW HIM...he didn't say "Follow other Christians"  In this snippet, we learn from Moses that the people that fight with us the most, are often our own people. As Christians in a challenging culture, we need to unify around loving GOD and loving our NEIGHBOR. 

A 2017 Lifeway Research survey,  (66%) of Americans ages 23-30 said they stopped attending church on a regular basis for at least a year.  Their top reasons were that church members seemed divisive, judgmental, or hypocritical.

Hidden Message in Genesis chapter five.

The names from Adam to Noah gives us a message. From the beginning, we find the summary of the Christian Gospel.   

Jesus said, "Search the scriptures; for in them you think you have eternal life: and they are that which testifies of me." (john 5:39)  Each old testament book points to Jesus before his ministry began. The plot and the theme of the Old Testament for us is: "someone is coming."  We point it out in each presentation.
