Today we speak to American University Professor David Vine, author of Island of Shame: The Secret History of the US Military Base on Diego Garcia,about the British-owned island of Diego Garcia, which is a US military base in the Indian Ocean. I was stationed there with the Marines from 1995-96, and my wife was there with the Navy from 1994-96. The author wrote the first book I've ever read on the history of the island and its people, and he tells their story today.
Today we talk to Max Holland, author and journalist with decades of experience researching the JFK assassination. Holland was accused by JFK conspiracist Mark Lane of working for the CIA when he discredited Lane and others who posit a CIA-FBI conspiracy to kill the president.
