- You honor God with your time, money, service, and sacrifice. A form of honor is spending time with God in your day, giving Him your first fruits, being obedient to His word. If you want to gain favor, keep God as a priority in your life, be obedient, be humble, honor Him, serve, and build kingdom relationships.
Jeremiah confronts many people with their sins. Jeremiah was called to be a prophet. Jeremiah wondered if what he was doing was any good at all. He often felt discouraged and sometimes bitter to bring such gloomy messages to those people was a hard task but Jeremiah live to see many of his prophecies come true because he was set apart, and you are set apart. You are cut from a different cloth because you are a child of God. We too have a responsibility to bring this news to a fallen world, those who continue to live in their sinful ways or eternally doomed. Although we may feel discouraged at the lack of response, we must press on to tell others about the consequences of sin and the hope that God offers those who tell people only what they want to hear or being unfaithful to God‘s message.
When we meet a person and decide to date them. We slowly but surely begin to know them. We want to know their favorite color, favorite food, their dislikes and likes. We build a relationship with them. Today we building our relationship with God.
Ezekial 37 is when the vision takes place. God takes Ezekiel to the middle of a valley where he sees a-lot of dry bones. He asks Ezekiel if the bones can live. Now, Ezekiel had witnessed the people destroying Jerusalem. He knew it was just as impossible to raise Israel from the dead as it was to bring life to the dry bones in the valley. So he answers that God alone knows.Only God can bring what’s dead back to life!
Today I want to talk about the importance of following Jesus and not this world. If you didn’t know I’ll tell you now. This world will fail you a million times BUT Jesus never will. This world will make you compare yourself to the next person. This world will make you think you need more and more. Even though you know you don’t need it. But you see it. You see post about it. So you feel you have to keep it. Listen you better become more and more like Jesus and this temporary place.
