The Book of Revelation is not simply the end of God’s story; it is instead the “end of the beginning.” Filled with images of battles and dragons, swords and horses, the Revelation points to a victorious King and His kingdom. Mostly, it’s about a real Savior who holds the future in His hands where the ending is incredible. Join us for our new series “Happily Ever After”.

Joy: Week 6
Pastor Aaron West
Joy. It’s not getting what you want. It’s appreciating what you have. Joy isn’t always the easiest choice or the obvious choice, but joy is a choice. The Apostle Paul said, “Rejoice in the Lord always. I will say it again, rejoice!” And his life is louder than his words. Paul writes his letter to the Philippians from a prison cell. You can choose joy anywhere, anytime, anyway!” Let’s expect God to teach us how to have joy in all circumstances. As we walk through the the topic of Joy and the book of Philippians, use this opportunity to really understand what joy is. How have you experienced joy apart from happiness? Where do you need to focus so you can move to a place of joy because of what the Lord has done? What brings you joy?

Peter's First Sermon
Pastor Aaron West
The resurrection of Jesus is either a fairy tale or the most wonderful and hopeful event in history. A resurrection from the dead may sound crazy to some, but for others it's the resounding act of God and their greatest hope. A dead man coming back to life defies natural law, but it doesn't defy the power of God. Christianity is a religion of resurrection; the dead coming to life is the core. Because Jesus rose from the dead, He can take everything dead in us and make it alive again! Feeling dead? Without hope? Stuck? Lost? Hurt? Broken? Then...let’s expect to see RESURRECTION power in our lives this Easter!
Joint Good Friday Service with Calvary Chapel Newport News. Testimonies, Scripture Readings, and Reflection.
Only Jesus: Week 5
Pastor Aaron West
Jesus! Only Jesus! All things were made by Him, through Him and for Him! From the majestic Milky Way to the fruit fly hovering around your overripe bananas. In between galaxies and fruit flies is where most of life happens: work or school, family and friendships, health, hobbies, and entertainment. In Paul’s letter to the Colossians, the apostle declares that Jesus not only holds it all together, but it’s all about Him! Jesus! Only Jesus! Life is complicated. Let’s make sure Jesus is at the center of it all and expect the best from Him.

Expectation: Week 5
Pastor Aaron West
Expectation! The firm belief that something will happen or be the case in the future. We have expectations for our spouses, our friends, our children, the holidays, our birthdays, or even our church. The truth is that often reality does not live up to the expectation! But, here is what we can know: the only ONE who can live up to the expectation is God! And so, we pray and wait in hope and expectation. We expect God to move in our lives, in the lives of others and in our church. We expect God to speak. We expect God to make dead things alive. We expect to see prodigals come home. We expect God to change us because of His Word. We expect God to do BIG things in our church this year! Expectation! He’s good, and He’s good for it! So, don’t lower your expectations of God; raise them and join us in a year of EXPECTATION.

Fool's Gold: Week 4
Pastor Aaron West
For much of human history gold has been the standard for determining worth. Gold is difficult to locate and even harder to extract from the earth and because of this fact, it is extremely valuable. The Bible says there is something even more valuable than a precious metal or a costly jewel. The thing that people should be valuing is wisdom. Our culture is bankrupt on wisdom. The world offers us counterfeit wisdom in every aspect of our lives. It’s time to dig deeper and find the wisdom offered to us by God Himself. It’s time to stop falling for fool’s gold and demand the real stuff.
