The Life and Visions of Anne Catherine Emmerich. For a number of reasons, I’ve recently become interested in doing a podcast series on the visions of Blessed Anne Catherine Emmerich. The transcribed visions have been a tremendous aide to my being closer to Christ and, having found only piecemeal recordings of her work online, I’m hoping that providing a podcast of the work may help others come closer to Christ as well. For those unfamiliar with her, she was a German Augustinian nun born in 1774, who received many visions over the course of her life. Among the most notable are the visions of our Lord Jesus Christ during the Passion. The detail, emotion, and wisdom captured in these visions is impossible to describe in justice without fully reviewing and understanding the text. Having read it just once, I have felt my life transformed by it.Currently in a test run - Episodes 1 is a brief intro from me (more later) and Episode 2 includes an introduction from the editor provided in the Dolorous Passion of Our Lord Jesus Christ. Episodes 3 - ? will include the biography of Blessed Emmerich as provided in the Dolorous Passion text. Once that is done, I will work on voicing the full text for The Complete Visions of Anne Catherine Emmerich (this will take months if not years).
