This isn't just a scene from a thriller; it's a chilling reality that many have faced in the workplace.
This reality is the focus of the latest episode of "When Leaders Talk." My interlocutor is Stefano Di Lollo, a seasoned leadership expert and coach with a wealth of experience navigating the intricacies of human behavior. Women in the workplace bring new perspectives and new ideas. They improve team performance and collaboration. Overall, they allow companies to increase productivity and profits.
And yet…. despite significant strides in the push for gender equality, women continue to be underrepresented, especially in leadership positions. According to the latest statistics, women comprise only 35% of top management. Fortune 500 female CEOs are 74, only 15% of all Fortune 500.
These numbers show that there is still a huge gap between men and women in leadership roles and that more efforts are needed to empower and support women to achieve their full potential.
I had the pleasure to talk about this relevant topic with Dr. Alessandra Wall, a clinical psychologist, an executive coach, and a mentor to many. She has dedicated herself to guiding executive and senior leading women through the often-challenging landscape of male-dominated industries.

To gain a unique perspective on personal leadership and leadership, I had the honor of interviewing Stefano Ferri, Crossdresser and owner of Stefano Ferri Communication and Marketing. With over 30 years of experience in the marketing industry and a passion for self-expression through cross-dressing, Stefano has his peculiar angle on what it means to lead both professionally and personally.
In this interview, we delve into Stefano's thoughts on leadership and how his personal experiences have shaped his approach to leadership. He well understood the power of smiling and being coherent and open. Stefano also explored the challenges that he faced in his life and how his journey started with self-awareness and self-acceptance.
He openly shared his experiences of navigating the world of crossdressing, and how this journey - still ongoing - has become his mission. We gained an understanding of his approach to diversity and inclusion, and how it is important to create a safe and accepting work environment for all individuals.
Moreover, we discovered how strong, brave, and resilient he is, having overcome inner and outer obstacles and stereotypes throughout his life. The interview with Stefano was an inspiring experience that shed light on the importance of fully understanding who we are.

In this episode, we interview Sediq Seddiqi, former deputy Minister of the Interior of the Islamic Republic of Afghanistan and previously spokesperson for the Afghan President. When the Taliban took power in 2021, Sediq was forced to flee, and now he and his family are safe in Canada.
Sediq is a great person, a selfless public servant whose mind and thoughts always go to his native country, holding strong hope for the restoration of a democratic government. His perspective on leadership is one of a strategic-political level leader, whose ambitions are for peace and prosperity in Afghanistan. Credibility is the principal quality for a political leader, who has the task of gaining and keeping the trust of their people. We also talk about hope, challenges, failure, the role of women in politics, and much more.
I really enjoyed this conversation because Sediq is a friend and a sharp-minded, caring leader. I am sure you will enjoy it as well.

William Joseph "Bill" Toti is a former US Navy captain, author, photographer, and former company executive in military technology.
He is well known for his participation in the exoneration of Captain Charles B. McVay III of the World War II cruiser USS Indianapolis (CA-35), as well as his activities on September 11, 2001, when he was in the Pentagon at the moment of the airplane crash. William is also very committed to helping military personnel to transition to a civilian career. He shares his experience and valuable insights in his book "From CO to CEO: A Practical Guide for Transitioning from Military to Industry Leadership," which was published in 2022. In the conversation with William, we explore the differences between leadership in the military and in the civilian world, highlighting the importance of being adaptable to every situation and humble, especially in new environments. William underlines the importance of having a vision and sharing it with every team member, finding the right way to communicate it. His transversal experience makes him the perfect guest for this podcast and a great person to talk to. A plus for me is that coming from similar backgrounds, William and I speak the same language.
