Hey there, it's been a while😊
I'm here with a beautiful entry for this week. Lauren Spencer is really an amazing singer and I have listened to some of her songs and I must say, they are wonderful.

One of her songs I love most is 'THAT PART'. The song is a pop love song that Spencer wrote about his boyfriend. I chose to sing it because it entails the numerous things one who is in love will one to do do with their partner. I love love, so these are the things I really want to do with my man and I want it to last forever 😊

LYRICS OF "THAT PART"

We've only been dating for a year
But I'm gonna take a risk and sound a little weird
I want the picket fences and an arch around the entrance
Two Ikea twin beds for the kids

It's normal to be a little scared
But I wanna bend the rules and play some truth or dare
So ask me any question, I don't really care
The only thing I care about is if you'll meet me there

And I wanna take your name
And I know you want the same

When you hold me, I see the end of a movie
Everyone thinks that we're crazy
And maybe we are
I hate the middle, let's skip to the part when you kiss me
Surrounded by friends and our family
Know we're too young to get married
We knew from the start
I'm sick of waiting, so can we just skip to that part?

Thank you for being here🤍🤍

Hello everyone 👋
I'm here with my entry for the week. I hope you enjoy it. I decided to do and Acapella version of "My Worship" by Phil Thompson.

God has been faithful to me in so many ways and the least I can do is to give him all the praise, worship and adore Him, because He alone deserves it. So here am I today, giving Him my worship in three voices😊😊
Enjoy
Kisses💋💋

SONG LYRICS

You Lord, You are worthy
And no one can worship You for me
For all the things You've done for me
And no one can worship You for me (lift it up)

Here's my worship
All of my worship
Receive my worship
All of my worship

Here's my worship (all of mine)
All of my worship (Father, receive my)
Receive my worship (all of my worship)
All of my worship

You Lord, You are worthy (and no one)
And no one can worship You for me (for all the)
For all the things You've done for me (and no one)
And no one can worship You for me
Come on, let's sing high in this place

Here's my worship (say, "All of my")
All of my worship (receive my)
Receive my worship (all I have I give to You)
All of my worship (receive it all)

Hi guys, this is vibes web 3, week 18 and with respect to the theme, DISNEY, I initially wanted performing, "How Far I'll Go" from Moana. Seeing numerous entry of it already, I took on the song from Barbie and the Diamond Castle, titled "TWO VOICES, ONE SONG".

This is a song that talks about true friendship. I couldn't find a good instrumental for it, so I decided to perform Acapella (with three voices combination).
I hope you have fun listening 😉❤️

LYRICS

It's so rare to find a friend like you
Somehow when you're around
the sky is always blue
The way we talk
The things you say
The way you make it all okay
And how you know all of my jokes
But you laugh anyway

If I could wish for one thing
I take a smile that you bring
Wherever you go in this world
I'll come along
Together we dream the same dream
Forever I'm here for you
You're here for me
oh woah oh
Two voices one song

And anywhere you are
You know I'll be around
And when you call my name
I'll listen for the sound

Happy new month amazing and amicable vibes family.
I'm here with my entry for the week and I hope you enjoy while listening 😊.

I apologize for my late submission. This week, I chose to sing one of Shawn Mendes songs, titled, "Senorita". I overheard this song from a friend's playlist I enjoyed it, so I decided to cover it. I hope you enjoy my cover too...💋

LYRICS

I love it when you call me señorita
I wish I could pretend I didn't need ya
But every touch is ooh, la-la-la
It's true, la-la-la
Ooh, I should be running
Ooh, you keep me coming for ya

Land in Miami
The air was hot from summer rain
Sweat dripping off me
Before I even knew her name, la-la-la
It felt like ooh, la-la-la
Yeah, no
Sapphire moonlight
We danced for hours in the sand
Tequila Sunrise
Her body fit right in my hands, la-la-la
It felt like ooh, la-la-la, yeah

Hello there, going back to my roots, I came across one hit song by Destiny Child, "Survivor". This song was released way back 2001. Listening to the song gives me this nostalgic feeling and it makes me miss childhood 😅.

My mom has been a great fan of Beyonce( Destiny Child) and Shakira. So, growing up, I was opportune to have early access to some of their songs, though I just listened and vibed to the beats then without understanding whatever that was sung.

Survivor is a song that portrays self-love, self-respect, and self-confidence, which are necessary for women to stand up for themselves and take control of their lives.
I can always trace my childhood memories back to this song.

Here, you can fins the lyrics of the song

Scrollling through the reels on facebook, the song, That Part by Lauren Spencer, got me.
The song chorus alone pushed me to download and listen to the full song. The lyrics of the song is quite captivating and emotional.
If you are in live with someone, you will always look forward to plan your future with him or her. You will want to spend the rest of your life with the person.

This song is one that portrays that and i hope the song gets to you.

Hello everyone in the vibes community, I'm thrilled to appear on your screen this week. It is with greatest pleasure that I present to us all, a cover of Sam Feldt's song, titled, "Post Malone".

I had already planned a song for this week when I saw the theme. I had to search for songs by Sam Feldt. I had a very tough time deciding on which of the songs to choose because, all the produced songs are amazing. One of them really caught me, which is, Post Malone. And I was like, "I'm so covering this😊", and I have.

I enjoyed the song so well that I placed it on repeat from dusk till Dawn. I hope you enjoy the song too. Kisses💋💋

Hello everyone in this wonderful community. I'm pleased to turn in my entry for the week 9. I have been busy lately and whenever I'm done with what I was doing, I'll be too stressed out to do any other thing. The week has really been hectic.

So, for this week, I chose to do a cover of the song, Titanium by Sia. When I first heard this song, I fell in love with it, though the instrumental is a bit loud. I decide to cover it for this week. Have fun listening 😘

Hello there
It's amazing being a part of this week's contest. With the theme, which centers on singing a song from the 60's, I have chosen the song, Can't Help Falling in Love by Elvis Presley . Elvis recorded this song for his fourth soundtrack album, Blue Hawaii (1961).

"Can't Help Falling in Love", is one of the songs that are played in, especially, weddings and anniversaries. This song is one that is filled with deep emotions. It portrays the uncontrollable nature of falling in love. It also centers on genuine love that comes naturally and it's inevitable.

LYRICS

Wise men say
Only fools rush in
But I can't help falling in love with you
Shall I stay?
Would it be a sin
If I can't help falling in love with you?

Like a river flows
Surely to the sea
Darling, so it goes
Some things are meant to be

Take my hand
Take my whole life, too
For I can't help falling in love with you

I feel good participating in this week's afritune. I apologize to the afritunes community for not turning in my entry for last week. I actually did but, network has been really terrible. I didn't realize that it wasn't published. Even this week, the same issue occurred and I couldn't even explore the blockchain as I should.

This week, I decided to do something I've not done since I joined this community. I chose to make a cover of Bad Influence by Omah Lay. I have never sang any afro beat, afro fusion or hip hop music, except for religious songs. Reason being that, I see the songs as being difficult to rehearse and sing completely. So this week, I decided to try something with Omah Lay's song.

Bad Influence, as the the name implies, is a song that portrays the consequences of being in a bad relationship or keeping companies with people who impact your life negatively. The lyrics of the song also talks about how the bad actions and characters of a person might not be good for his or her partner or friend, but he or she finds it hard to change because they enjoy their lifestyle.

This song is relatable for many people who struggle with balancing their desires with what's best for their relationships.

SONG LYRICS

I'm rolling on your wheel now
I'm drinking Hennessy now
I hope you see now

See you don burst my eye glass
You don scatter my plans
See my eye I don prass
You put me for ambulance
See what you made me bitch
See what you made me be
See what you did to me
God save me please

Hello amazing music lovers. It's a great pleasure to have you listen to my cover for vibes web 3 music competition, week 7. I've been a little under the weather lately and I haven't been able to do stuffs for myself. I was unable to actively engage in hive as I should. I return all the glory to God that I'm at least able to participate in this week's contest.

For my entry, I chose to sing Someone You Loved but Lewis Capaldi. The song is a moving ballad that delves into the depths of love, loss, and longing. Capaldi, with his soulful voice and heartfelt lyrics, has crafted a powerful and unforgettable song that resonates deeply with listeners. The song conveys raw emotion that is captivating when listened to.

Song Lyrics

I'm going under and this time I fear there's no one to save me
This all or nothing really got a way of driving me crazy
I need somebody to heal
Somebody to know
Somebody to have
Somebody to hold
It's easy to say
But it's never the same
I guess I kinda liked the way you numbed all the pain

Now the day bleeds
Into nightfall
And you're not here
To get me through it all
I let my guard down
And then you pulled the rug
I was getting kinda used to being someone you loved

Hello there, it's another beautiful week for the vibes participation. I'm Emyekanem and I'm super excited to participate in this week's contest. To turn in my entry, I have chosen to take on the song by Ava Max, Alone, and I'm doing the part two of it.

This song is a test on ones vocal strength and I chose to give it a try. I'm so happy for myself that I am able to take on songs like this. Though I was usually scared of taking on songs that has some twist in them but @dave-estates has always been my source of encouragement.

The song, "Alone" also nails on the point that we cannot make it alone. We need people to survive. People who are optimistic, dream big and have good vibes. For me, @dave-estates is that person. I hope you get to meet someone that will be your backbone and also gives you shoulder to cry on.

Hello beautiful people🌹
This is hive open mic, week 206 and I'm here with my entry, in relation to the theme, poetry, as chosen by our spotlight artist, @cesaramos. I have chosen to make a cover of My Favourite Things, as featured in the movie, 'The Sound of Music'.

Whenever the word, 'poetry' is mentioned, what usually comes to my mind is, strings of compiled words with rhyme schemes. This rhyme schemes usually appears at the end of each poem lines. The poet can choose to use any rhyme pattern of his or her choice (aabbcc...., abbacddc...., ababcdcd.... etc). Also, they have the freedom to use words the way they like.

Some poems are not usually easily understood until interpreted. Poems, also do have both shallow and deep meaning (can't recall the proper names for them). There are poetries which, when reading them, you get to think that the poet is referring to something simple, not knowing that there is a deeper meaning to it.

There is a poem written by one, Joe Ushie, titled, 'Yawns and Belches'. Reading it, one might think that the poem is all about yawning and belching (which is the shallow meaning) but looking deep, you'll get to realize that, the 'yawns' refer to the hungry masses. The 'belches' refer to the rich and the government, who have eaten to the fullest.

Now, back to the song I've chosen, I might not really have a deep interpretation for it but all I know is that, the song is all about the stuffs that make you happy when you are feeling sad or when the going is tough. Simply put, there are stuffs you love doing and they become your favourite in that, no matter how bad or unhappy you might be, a mere thinking or remembering them, the pain goes away.
I just hope we all have that one thing or person too, that whenever we think of them, our pain goes away.

**LYRICS** Raindrops on roses and whiskers on kittens
Bright copper kettles and warm woolen mittens
Brown paper packages tied up with strings
These are a few of my favorite things

Cream-colored ponies and crisp apple strudels
Doorbells and sleigh bells and schnitzel with noodles
Wild geese that fly with the moon on their wings
These are a few of my favorite things

Girls in white dresses with blue satin sashes
Snowflakes that stay on my nose and eyelashes
Silver white winters that melt into springs
These are a few of my favorite things

When the dog bites, when the bee stings
When I'm feeling sad
I simply remember my favorite things
And then I don't feel so bad

Greetings beautiful music lovers on vibes. This is the fifth week for the vibes Web3 Music competition and I'm here with my entry. I chose to make a cover of Ziv Zaifman's, "A MILLION DREAMS".

This song is one of the songs featured in the movie, "The Greatest Showman". For the second week of the competition, I covered, "NEVER ENOUGH", which is also featured in the movie, so you'd know how I love the movie and the featured songs with passion.

I have chosen to sing this song because, it is one that inspires me a lot, to believe in the power of my dreams. It encourages me to pursue my passions with determination. "A Million Dreams" actually convey the message that anything, no matter how big or small it might be, is possible with dedication and perseverance.

This is one of the songs that keep me going whenever I feel like giving up my dreams. I hope this song becomes your inspiration too.

**Song Lyrics** I close my eyes and I can see
A world that's waiting up for me
That I call my own
Through the dark, through the door
Through where no one's been before
But it feels like home

They can say, they can say it all sounds crazy
They can say, they can say I've lost my mind
I don't care, I don't care, so call me crazy
We can live in a world that we design

'Cause every night I lie in bed
The brightest colors fill my head
A million dreams are keeping me awake
I think of what the world could be
A vision of the one I see
A million dreams is all it's gonna take
Our million dreams for the world we're gonna make

Hello everyone
I'm here with my entry for this week and I've chosen to make a cover of Progress Effiong's song titled, "KAMA", which means, hold unto. This song is a mixture of English and Ibibio. It is one of the amazing songs of Progress that I enjoy listening to but I was used to singing only the chorus part of it.

For this week, I decided to take it on and do the acapella version of it and im hoping that you enjoy it. The greatest love that Jesus showed to us was, coming down from His throne in Heaven, to come die for us so that we should be whole again.

When ever it seems like you wanna depart from God and His ways, sit down and reflect on this question. Is there anybody out there, who claims to love you so much that will accept to die for you? You can also ask yourself this, "Can I die for somebody I love?" If no, or if it leaves you thinking twice, just be reminded that there is a God in Heaven, who did this without thinking twice. And He alone is the one with the greatest and true love.

He loves us genuinely no matter the atrocities we do commit and one of the ways we can show our love for Him is to hold unto Him without wavering, as the song says. Take Him as your All in All and He will never disappoint.

**Song Lyrics** I′ve never seen this kind of love before
This love that Jesus has for me
He has done what no man can do for me oooh
This God is too good o o o

He has given me victory
Took the shame away
Given me joy and peace of mind that money cannot buy
He has given me victory
Took the shame away ooooo
Given me joy and peace of mind that money cannot buy

Akporo me diongo o, akporo me doing o
Akporo me diongo
Song ubok mum Jesus kama

Hello there, it's an honour to be here for afritunes week 105. I have chosen to sing one of the songs of Nathaniel Bassey, which is a mixture of Igbo and English. The title of the song is, "Imela" which means thank you in English.

This song is a song of appreciation and you know that appreciations open room for more good things. People are usually appreciated for helping others, providing services, or being kind, loving, and, selfless. Imela is a song that thanks and appreciates God for his good deeds.

The lyrics of this song says it all. Whenever I think upon the goodness of the Lord and His faithfulness to me each day, it is evident that I am not worthy to receive the kind of love that God showers on me. God does look beyond my sins and guilt to provide and care for me as His own.

With all of the protection, guidance, care, and, love showered on us by God, we should always learn to be grateful and show appreciation too. Therefore, in all you do, give thanks.

*Thank you for reading through and listening ❤️🤍❤️* When I think upon Your goodness
And Your faithfulness each day
I'm convinced it's not because I am worthy
To receive the kind of love that You give
But I'm grateful for Your mercy
And I'm grateful for Your grace
And because of how You've poured out your Yourself
I have come to sing this song out in praise

Hello beautiful vibers, I'm @emyekanem and I'm here with my entry for this week. I'm making this cover for the love of 'love'😊. And love is sweet when shared with the right person. When we are in love, we will always want to see the world with our lovers.

I, myself, I have someone I love so dearly apart from my family. He gives me butterflies in my belly. He is my best friend, my therapist, my adviser, my everything that I need in a man. He makes me happy a lot. He is God sent and I thank God always, for sending him my way.

I just pray and hope that everything goes well and we get to tie the knot someday. I hope you also find someone that loves you for you and corrects and showers you with love and affection.

Hello everyone 🥰

I'm Emyekanem and im excited to participate in Week 205 open mic. The song I have chosen for the week's theme, 'Asian Culture', is "Edelweiss". This is one of the songs featured in the movie, The Sound of Music. I decided to sing two voice parts for the song cause i feel my songs aren't always complete with a touch of harmony😊. You'll be wondering why I have to choose this particular song and I know that you will also be wondering if this song can be connected with the theme of the week. I have my reasons for choosing this song, though the lyrics and song doesn't directly refer to Asian culture.

However, it can be connected with Asian culture through broader themes of music, nature, and cultural exchange. I'll explain that. But first let's look at the meaning of "Edelweiss".

Edelweiss" is a flower that grows in the Alps, particularly in Austria, Switzerland, and some parts of Germany. The name "Edelweiss" comes from the German words "edel", meaning noble and "weib" meaning white. Therefore in English, it is translated as "Noble White".

Now, the Edelweiss flower, which the song is named after, symbolizes beauty and resilience. Similarly, the Asian cultures also have a deep appreciation for the beauty of nature and often use natural symbols in art and poetry.

Also, as we all know that music is a universal language with themes of love, longing, and beauty, which resonate across different cultures. Asian culture is not an exception.

Furthermore, I'll also add that the movie, The Sound of Music, has gained worldwide popularity, including in Asian countries, where it has been widely viewed and appreciated.

Therefore, I hope you also get to watch the movie and listen to the songs featured in it, including, Edelweiss. I'm sure you'll enjoy and appreciate it too.

Song Lyrics

Edelweiss, Edelweiss
Every morning you greet me
Small and white clean and bright
You look happy to meet me

Blossom of snow, may you bloom and grow
Bloom and grow forever
Edelweiss, Edelweiss
Bless my homeland forever

Hey music lovers
I'm here again for vibes Web3 Music competition for the third week.... I'm elated to be sharing one of the amazing songs by Swedish pop group, ABBA, with us. The title of the song, "Chiquitita" is a Spanish word for "little girl". The lyrics of the song entails the comfort and encouragement given to a heartbroken friend.

This song has a special place in my heart. I didn't just learn it on my own but I learnt from my mom. Right from childhood, I picked up songs I hear my mom sing a lot. My mom adores ABBA songs like no man's business. She usually write down all the lyrics of the songs she loves and this wasn't an exception. My mom made me love music. I had a bad singing voice while growing up and I didn't always want to sing outside for people to hear me because I feel and I also knew that people will make jest of me. Anytime I tried singing and I was mocked, I usually come home crying because my mates always criticize me destructively. To make me happy, my mom will always sing 'Chiquitita' for me😊 So, I just sticked to singing indoors with my mom, following her lead.

When I was older, my mom suggested that I join the choir by all means because from there, my voice will be worked on and the fear and shyness in me will be killed. The decision I took made me better than I was. I'm also working on improving my singing ability to the standard that I will always get a standing ovation whenever I sing🥰

Therefore, this song reminds me a lot of my mom whenever I hear it.

*Thank you for listening and reading through ❤️🤍❤️* Song Lyrics

Chiquitita, tell me what’s wrong Y
You’re enchained by your own sorrow
In your eyes there is no hope for tomorrow
How I hate to see you like this
There is no way you can deny it
I can see that you’re oh so sad, so quiet

Chiquitita, tell me the truth
I’m a shoulder you can cry on
Your best friend, I’m the one you must rely on
You were always sure of yourself
Now I see you’ve broken a feather
I hope we can patch it up together

Chiquitita, you and I know
How the heartaches come and they go and the scars they’re leaving
You’ll be dancing once again and the pain will end You will have no time for grieving
Chiquitita, you and I cry
But the sun is still in the sky and shining above you
Let me hear you sing once more like you did before Sing a new song, chiquitita
Try once more like you did before
Sing a new song, chiquitita

Hello there 🥰 I welcome you all to week 104 and it feels good listening to each of your entries for this week. I have been contemplating on what to present to this amazing community, and the song "Unlimited God" came to my mind. I also though of doing and acapella with two Voices but I was unable to get a second phone cause I've been home alone. Therefore, I had to sing with just one voice . I couldn't procrastinate because procrastination, as it is always said and known, is a thief of time.

There is this tingling feelings I get whenever I record two different voices for a song. I just love doing it for fun and it makes me smile too😊. I dunno if you also feel what I feel whenever you sing with two Voices and try listening to it? If you haven't tried it out before, make sure you do and I bet you'll love it.

Whenever I wanna think of a song to sing anytime any day, "Unlimited God", is one of the songs that comes to my mind. This song is a powerful praise song by Nathaniel Bassey, a Nigerian artist, filled with the Holy Spirit. I didn't just decide to take up this song for singing sake. I did because it falls in line with what God has done in my life and that of my family. My God works in a mysterious ways. His ways are not known by any man and He is not limited by any man or thing.

All I have to say is that whenever there is a delay in what you pray to God so much about, it doesn't mean God hasn't heard your prayers or he is not gonna do anything about it. He knows just the right time to answer your prayer request. Therefore, hold on tight and wait cause your waiting will NEVER be in vain.

*Thanks so much for listening and reading through ❤️🤍❤️* Lyrics of the song

No man can see the end of Your grace. No man can know the end of Your love.
No man can see the end of Your glory.
No man can know the end of Your power.
As far as the heavens stand
Stand above the earth.

You are exalted, Unlimited God
You are exalted, Unlimited God

Greetings wonderful people of the Hive Open Mic community. It's a privilege to be able to participate in this week's open mic. It's been months and I miss us here. I have a very tight schedule but I promised myself that no matter how tight my schedule will be, that I will always create time for hive. Even if it's 1 or 2 hours. So here am I with my entry for this week. I have chosen to do a cover of Phil Thompson's song, 'Atmosphere Shift' for the theme, "Memories".
The song connects to the theme through the idea of God's presence and the impact it has on our lives, particularly in the way it shapes our memories and experiences.

Atmosphere Shift is one of the songs we sing in our church choir. Also, it's a kind of song that requires a great number of people to minister. It is a call and response song and it also needs different voice parts to so the impact can be felt. I decided to sing this song using two parts. The recording aspect of it wasn't so smooth as I had to use two phones for the recording and after so many trials and error, I could put something together.

I choose to sing this song because there is actually only one name that has the power to save us from all our problems. And that name is JESUS. This name is mighty in that by the mention of it, every knee bows and every tongue confess. Therefore, whenever you are in a difficult situation or position and everybody forsakes you, do not be weary because there is a God that never forsakes His own. He is with you everyday and everytime and He sees all that is going on with you. The transformative power of God in our lives impacts not only the present moment but also leaves a lasting impression on our memories and experiences.

The best for you to do is to call on Him morning, afternoon, and evening and He will answer you, he neither sleeps nor get tired. I have been calling on this name and He never forsakes me and I know that He won't.

I hope you stop putting your hopes on people as they will fail you, and focus on God who will never fail you any day , any time.

*Thank you for listening and reading through❤️🤍❤️* Apart from the colour filter, I haven't added any voice effect while editing this video.

Hello there, I'm back again on your screen with my entry for this contest and I'm hoping you are having fun listening to this entry. I also appreciate the admin, @lordbutterfly once again for this beautiful idea of bringing music lovers together via this competition. This song I'm singing is not an easy song that just anybody can sing except you are determined to, with much work and focus. I've been battling with cough and cold since Saturday and it has affected my voice a great deal. I'm singing "Never Enough" by Loren Allred. I have been practicing this song for sometime and so I decided to give it a try for this competition.

Though it's not as perfect as I have always wanted it to be but I thank God that I am able to try something.
I've been in love with this song since I first saw the movie, The Greatest Showman. In fact, I am in love with all the songs featured in the movie. I didn't actually know how stressful the song is when I heard one of the female characters in the movie, Jenny Lind, sang it. I thought it was really simple till I decided to try practicing it myself. I gave up the practice because I thought I wasn't good enough to sing the song, that the song is just meant for those with good voices.

But here am I, taking up the song again and even turning it in as my entry for this competition. The song is a ballad that expresses the feeling of longing and the desire for something more. It reflects on the desire for perfection and the relentless pursuit of success, despite realizing that even the greatest achievements may still leave a person feeling incomplete.

However, beneath the surface of this pursuit lies a pathetic truth, and that is the realization that no matter how much success one achieves, it might never be enough to fill the emptiness inside.

Hello everyone, I welcome you all to vibes web3 music competition. I can see that the vibes music community is vibing already. Without wasting much time, my name is Emediong, known as @emyekanem on the hive blockchain. I'm glad to be a part of this web3 music competition, organized by the admin @lordbutterfly and other honourable team members of the vibes community.

This competition I know, will make room for people to bring out the best in them when it comes to music. I love music, I love singing but I stopped doing that for a while and I haven't been at peace with myself. I thank God I was able to overcome whatever tampered with my music spirit.

For my entry in this competition, I chose to make a video of an acapella version of Madison's "God Only Knows". I choose this song because it reflects on the struggles and challenges of life, while finding solace in God's unwavering love and presence. The lyrics of the song encapsulate difficult times, feeling lost, and searching for meaning. During all these , nobody sees or cares about what is going on in our lives, except God. So this song urges us to turn to God, not only in times of need but in all affairs of our lives, find comfort in His unconditional love and it also gives the assurance that God knows and understands all.

The song reminds me of the faithfulness of God, even in the midst of uncertainty, encouraging me to trust in His plans and find strength in His love. I hope this song penetrate your hearts and give you joy and comfort as you listen.

*Thanks a million for listening to my entry🤍🤍* Lyrics source

Hello beautiful people 🌹🌹

For the past week that I haven't been available, I've really missed this platform and you guys a whole lot. I had an event to take care of and it really stressed me out. I couldn't afford to lose out in this week's performance come what may, therefore in my quest to come up with an African song to present, this song came into my mind and it really fits into the kind of songs I should be singing through out this year😊.

"Open the Flood Gate" by the Ghanaian artiste, Sonnie Badu, is a prayer of request. This is me saying to God, please just open the windows of heaven and pour your blessings on me in abundance. This has been my prayer point everyday. It's not like I am not blessed or something but I still need more of God's blessings.

Having to be alive till date is a blessing. Having a roof over my head, having clothings to cover my nakedness, having what to eat everyday is a huge blessing and I'm always thankful for all these. I'm grateful every blessed day of my life to my creator. I do not want more of my blessings to cease coming that is why I have chosen to sing this song. You can also join me to sing if you believe more blessings are coming your way🥰.

THANK YOU FOR HAVING ME❣️❣️

LYRICS

Baba o , Baba o

Baba o , Baba o

We’re in your presence ,

Let it rain

Cause your rain , let it fall on me(2*)

Open the floodgates in abundance

And cause Your rain, to fall on me

Open the floodgates in abundance

And cause Your rain, to fall on me(2*)

Baba o , Baba o

Baba o, Baba o

Baba o , Baba o

Baba o, Baba o

Hello there🌹🌹

Wishing y'all a happy and a fruitful new month.

Here we are again for the afritunes performance of week 73. This week, I bring to you a song by destined kids. If you know these kids, I'm sure you are also aware of the awe they leave us whenever they release an album😊. They usually unleash mind blowing and didactic songs as kids. I doubt these kids are still singing (I have no idea though).

These kids are the artiste of the song, "Joy, Joy, Joy", and I can remember it was their very first song in their first album. Their names are listed in order as follows, Favour Iwueze, Rejoice Iwueze, Joshua Iwueze, Best baby Iwueze, Caleb Iwueze, and the last born, Wonderful Iwueze.

I admired them a great deal. I admired their courage as well as their boldness in singing. They usually leave the shy me thinking to myself a whole lot. I was like, "Goddd, these are little children and they might be my age mate but I don't think I can have the boldness of singing in front of a camera not to talk of people.🥺🥺 But since they are doing it, then I can as well if I'm given the chance"

The song I'm singing in the video above is titled, "Nigeria is Good" and it was specifically sung by the second daughter, Rejoice Iwueze while other kids backed her up. This song is one of their songs I fell in love with but I chose not to sing it as they did. I had to do something short. I'm sorry I couldn't make it more melodious, I had some constraint. This song, as I said in the video is one sung, to appreciate and be thankful to God for our country Nigeria, and our continent, Africa. I'm singing this song because it's a new month and I'm appreciating God for everything He has done for Africa. Nigeria is a blessed nation. There are a lot of bad happenings in other continents of the world that hasn't dared to cross over to ours. That is why we are tagged as A Blessed Nation. The lyrics of this song, says it all. Just click on the YouTube link below to watch their video.

Hello my dearest family🌹🌹

I welcome you to another week of hive open mic. For the theme of this week which says "Family", the song "A Million Dreams", came into my mind. The term 'family' refers to a group of people that are related or binded together by blood, adoption, law, custom, friendship, marriage, etc. I have been opportune on this blockchain to meet virtual friends who have actually turned my family.

The song, "A Million Dreams" was featured in the musical film, 'The Greatest Showman', and it can be related to this theme. This song doesn't directly mention family but it conveys the themes commonly associated with it such as, hope, imagination, and the desire to create a better life.

Family is usually the main or primary source of support, love, and encouragement for individuals in pursuit of their dreams. Therefore, the song pictures the role played by family to nurture the aspirations of its members and create an environment where they can dream big and believe in the possibilities ahead

According to the movie, the song is sung by the character, P.T. Barnum who was a child, and it portrays his aspirations and dreams for something beyond his current circumstances. It depicts his yearning for a brighter future and the hope of sharing their journey with their loved ones (family).

The fundamental aspect of the family bond is the desire to create a better life for oneself and ones's loved ones, therefore in we do, we should neither abandon, forget, nor turn our backs on our family.

LYRICS

I close my eyes and I can see

The world that's waiting up for me

That I call my own

Through the dark, through the door

Through where no one's been before

But it feels like home

They can say, they can say it all sounds crazy

They can say, they can say I've lost my mind

I don't care, I don't care, so call me crazy

We can live in a world that we design

'Cause every night I lie in bed

The brightest colors fill my head

A million dreams are keeping me awake

I think of what the world could be

A vision of the one I see

A million dreams is all it's gonna take

A million dreams for the world we're gonna make

Hello beautiful people 🌹🌹

You are welcome to afritunes week 72. For me, I'm a bit late on making this post, 'cause a lot of work was really on my neck. I have developed a neck like a crane already because of stress😭. I didn't want to waste too much time practicing a long song because if I had, I bet I would have missed this week's presentation. I was actually inspired by @sholex to do a song by Mairo Ese entitled, "You Are the Reason".

Mairo Ese is a Nigerian gospel artiste who is based in Lagos. I never really knew the singer of this song but I've been singing it occasionally. This song is a gospel song and I chose to sing it because God is the reason I'm still alive till date. He is the reason for my existence and because He is the reason that I am who I am today, I'll always sing praises to His name.

"You Are the Reason" is a very beautiful song that is usually sung in almost all the Christian churches during worship session because it is a song that adds prominence to worshipping God. It portrays the fact that without God, we are nothing and we wouldn't even exist. If you haven't been singing this song during worship in church or whenever you wanna worship God, please start singing it e go move God. No laugh, I'm serious.😊😊 I had to sing the song in my own way which is a lil bit different from the artiste. Please have fun singing along😘

Here is the lyrics of the song

You are the reason why I lift my hands

Why I lift my voice

Why I sing to you

You are the reason I'm alive today

I am here to say

It's all because of You

You are the reason

You are the reason

You are the reason

You are the reason

THANKS FOR COMING AROUND🤍🤍

Hello guys 🖤 🖤

Nice to see y'all again for this week's performance. The song I have chosen to present is that recommended by the community. I'm not really use to this song but I had to make sure I score it so I won't miss out in this week's presentation. I applaud my mom because most of the songs I know today, I learnt from her. Whenever she sings, I listen, sing along with her if I know little of the lyrics and then it will become part of me. However she sings it is how I'll sing it too😅. This song by Nathaniel Bassey is one of the songs my mom loved so much. She cherished it as if there is no tomorrow 😂, "Onishe Iyanu".

My mom sang this song until I was fed up. I didn't wanna hear it anymore it was beginning to sound like a cliche. There is one part she usually sang and I will roll on the floor with laughter. If you listen to the song, you'd hear a place where the singer will be like, "Somebody give him a shout of praaaaise, hey, hey, hey, hey, hey...." My mom usually sings this part in a veeeery funny way, though I didn't touch that part in my video cover.

Also, me singing this song, I still have cough which has really affected my voice. I strain my voice and it hurts my throat while singing which will wanna trigger the cough but I try hard to control it. This video might not be up to standard because of some voice error I encountered as a result of the cough. I TAKE GOD NAME BEG UNA, NO LAUGH ME, but you can smile. I'm most especially addressing this to @mhizerbee, person wey fit laugh for Africa😂😂😂.

This Nathaniel's song is a hit because it is a praise song. It is one that gives glory to God for everything he has done for humanity. If you have an opportunity to listen to it, I bet you'd love it🥰 Have fun listening.

THANK YOU FOR HAVING ME🌹🌹

Greetings distinguished ladies and gentlemen 🌹🌹

It's a pleasure to see you visit my blog this week. My sincere gratitude goes to the spotlight artiste for the week, @cabelindsay, for choosing "Cacao" as the theme for this week. In that note, I'll be singing a song by Phil Thompson, one of our popular gospel artistes, who usually pulls the crowd whenever he sings. His songs are spirit filled.

'Cacao' is a Spanish/ Italian word for Cocoa. According to the dictionary, it is a tree, whose seeds are used to produce chocolate. I am actually not a lover of chocolate but a lot of people really do love it. I bake chocolate cakes for sale, but I can't eat them. The only way I love my chocolate, is when I add milk to it and use it for tea, cereals, etc. Ahhhhh!! that feeling is usually second to none. I always want to have more.

I'm sorry about how everything is happening in that video that way. I have a bit of cough so it has really affected my singing so much. I have chosen to present, "My Worship" by Phil because it is one of the songs that gets people to place them on 'repeat', whenever they listen to it. When I first listened to this song, I was forced to play it over and over again. Since I was the music director in my church that year, I decided to minister it and I didn't really do well, reason being that our choir group was newly born and we didn't have any experience at that time😭😭. It was and it's usually funny whenever I remember that I almost cried while ministering😂(stage fright been want kill me)😂😂

So, if you choose to listen to this song you will understand what I really mean. Go here for the lyrics

Hello guys🌹🌹

It's a beautiful week for the afritunes community performances. I hope we are all hiving great? Like I said, this week is a good one already because God is doing wondrous things.

I have chosen to sing a song by Nathaniel Bassey, featuring Eben. This song is entitled, "No One Like You". It is a glorification and upliftment song. I'm singing this song because I've seen the miraculous deeds of God in my life, family, friends, and especially school. When the going always wanna seem tough, I see God appear and take everything into control. There are a lot of VIPs in governmental offices and in churches who are no more today. Who I'm I to still be alive till date? It's actually God's love. Because I'm certain that if men (Kings, Paramount rulers, and the rich) were the ones giving life, I also will be history.

I have numerous reasons to glorify God because He is not a man. That is why I love the lyrics of the song. Just read/sing along and you will understand why I'm singing the song😊

LYRICS

You're not a man oh

You're not a man oh

You're the God who opens doors no man can shot

You're not a man oh

You're not a man oh

You are the God of everything no one like you

No one like you Jesus

No one like you

No one like you Eze

No one like you

No one like you father

No one like you master

You are the God of everything no one like you

You're not a man oh

You're not a man oh

You're the God who opens no man can shot

You're not a man oh

You're not a man oh

You're the God of everything no one like you

No one like you Jesus

No one like you

Hi guys🌹🌹

It's a pleasure to have you in my blog this week. For the theme of the week generated by @jasperdick, which is 'WAR', I decided to present a song by Maranda Curtis. The title of this song is, "NOBOBY LIKE YOU". Here is to say that there is nobody like God. He works in mysterious ways (nobody knows His way). This song is a powerful worship song. It is one that elevates, magnify, and exalts the Name of God. It is well known by us that God is the Mighty Man in Battle. He fights and wins every battles/wars of our lives. These wars can be flight whenever we call on His name because His name is powerful and in Him , we will be saved. The Bible even solidifies this with the portion, Act 2:21, which says: “And it shall be that everyone who calls on the name of the Lord shall be saved.”

Wars of life can come in different forms such as, financial challenges, health problems, loss and grief, stress and anxiety, etc, but we usually overcome them by taking our problems to the Lord and calling on His name. Part of the song lyrics is written below but you can get the full song from this link

LYRICS

Oh Lord

Our God

How excellent

Is your name

Your name is strength

Your name is power

A strong tower

Makes me safe Oh oh oh

Nobody like you Lord

Nobody like you Lord

Hello friends🌹🌹

You are welcome to week 168 of hive open mic. This week I'll be doing a song by Alan Walker and Ava Max cos I'm intrigued by the week's theme which says, "Music for Children". The song is an incredible one as it's not one to be sung by an asthmatic patient😅🤦. This song is one that can be used to test one's vocal strength. It's 'breath taking'🤭 The title of this song is "Alone".

According to the song lyrics, the artiste talks about a time they were kids and how they did stuffs kids do together. They usually run into a lot of trouble, in that they get scared whenever they are being called by the teacher. The artistes here stresses the need of having each other's back. They go on to say that we cannot make it alone and that we need each other to survive and scale through in life.

This song can be categorized into "music for children" because it is didactic. It will help the children to know and understand the need or essence of unity.

Part of the song lyrics is written below incase you'd want to sing along, but you can get the full lyrics from the link attached to the lyrics.

Thank you for watching my video and reading through.

Looking forward to having you next week🌹🌹

LYRICS

We were young, posters on the wall

Praying we're the ones that the teacher wouldn't call

We would stare at each other

'Cause we were always in trouble

And all the cool kids did their own thing I was on the outside always looking in

Yeah, I was there but I wasn't

They never really cared if I wasn't

[Pre-Chorus]

We all need that someone

Who gets you like no one else

Right when you need it the most

We all need a soul to rely on

A shoulder to cry on

A friend through the highs and the lows

[Chorus]

I'm not gonna make it a-la, la-la-la-la-la, la, la-la-la-la-la, 'lone

I'm not gonna make it a-la, la-la-la-la-la, la, la-la-la-la-la, 'lone

Hi guys❤️❤️

You are all welcome to this amazing week of the afritune's performances. For this week I chose to sing a song composed by a church choir. I was opportune to attend service in a friend's church. So, during the choir ministration they rendered a song titled, "MfonObong" and I loved it. Since it was a simple song, I was able to commit it to memory.

"MfonObong" is an ibibio word that means, "Grace of God" in English. It is a very lovely song that if you get to know the meaning, you'd fall in love with it. The song goes this way:

MfonObong ekem mi Udeme oh

Ima-Obong anam mi mboho

Uwakmfonabasi anam mi nduke Emem

Sese kidem mmi afo yekut idiongo..... (You can sing as many times as you want)

CHORUS

Uwem Ami ndude (MfonObong)

Udia eke ndiade (MfonObong)

Afong eke nsinede (MfonObong ekem mi Udeme).... (Repeat)

The song says that the grace of God is sufficient onto me. His love sets me free. This love is portrayed as He died on the cross of Calvary so our sins might be forgiven. His splendid grace gives us peace of mind and you can see that in the way I'm smiling in the video😅😅

Just listen to the song and vibe with it while having fun. Thank you for coming around 🌹🌹

Hello guys, it's hive open mic week 167. You are again welcome to my blog. This week, I chose to do a song by Barbie, a popular Mattel doll franchise. The song is tilted, "Believe", as featured in the movie "Barbie and the Diamond Castle". Many people have a tendency to try something once, twice, or even three times and fail to achieve their goals, or they tend to give up easily if they fail to achieve their goals. Giving up may not usually be the answer. Especially when you know that executing your plan will yield beneficial results. If you try to do something or become something and you fail, that doesn't mean you have failed. It is to let them know that there was something they needed to do to get the desired result, but they couldn't do it. So don't give up, investigate and fix it no matter how many times you fail until you succeed.

According to the otaku subculture, enthusiasts exhibit a deep passion for anime. They take to investing their time, energy, and resources into their hobbies, showcasing dedication and enthusiasm. Similarly, in the movie, Liana and Alexa demonstrate a strong passion for music and friendship, embarking on a journey to find the Diamond Castle, a magical place where all music is born. Along the way, they encounter challenges and villains but also meet new friends and discover the power of friendship. This parallels the passion and dedication exhibited by otaku individuals in pursuing their interests.

By drawing these connections, we can see parallels between the theme, "otaku" and the song "Believe" as both emphasize the importance of passion, dedication, and the belief in oneself as key factors in pursuing one's interests and dreams.

Thanks for having me 🤍🤍

LYRICS

Hidden beneath the ground,

Is the spring that feeds the creek,

Invisible as the wind,

That you feel upon your cheek.

And every breeze that whispers,

Reminds us constantly,

Sometimes what's real,

Is something you can't see Believe in all that can be,

A miracle starts whenever you dream,

Believe and sing from your heart,

You'll see your song will hold the key.

Waiting behind the clouds,

Is a sky that's always clear

And chasing away the doubts,

You watch the sun appear

It's shining to remind you,

As each new day begins.

There's always hope if you just let it in

Believe in all that can be

A miracle starts whenever you dream

Believe and sing from your heart you'll see

Your song will hold the key.

You can paint the stars,

You can touch the sky

Spread your wings and discover you can fly

Won't know until you try

Believe in all that can be

A miracle starts whenever you dream

Believe and sing from your heart you'll see

Your song will hold the key

Oohh,

Believe and dream what can be

Ask with your heart and you will receive

Believe the beauty is yours to see

Your song will hold the key...

Aahhhhh...

Hello friends of the hive open mic community ❤️❤️

It's great to see you again. This video coverage might not be looking great because of certain circumstances. I was a bit under the weather and I had to leave school for home. Making a video at home was really difficult as we have a lot of kids playing/shouting and generator sounds from our house and neighbouring houses steaming and shaking the building 🥺🙄. I had to look for somewhere convenient, therefore, I went behind a church close to us in order to get this done.

Like I said in the video, when I saw the theme for the week, the first song that came to my mind was, "God is Able", sung by the artiste, Deitrick Haddon. The theme "Never Give Up" resonates strongly with the song that's why I chose to sing it. The lyrics and message of the song convey a powerful encouragement to persevere and hold onto faith, even in the face of adversity and challenges.

I didn't do the song from the solo but the chorus which proclaims:

God is able to do just what He said He would do

He's gonna fulfill every promise to you

Don't give up on God, 'cause He won't give up on you

He's able

The essence of the theme is beautifully captured in these lyrics. The song is a reminder to us that no matter how difficult our circumstances may be, we should maintain unwavering faith and trust in God's ability to come through and fulfill His promises for us. It further emphasizes that even when things seem impossible or hopeless, God has the power to make a way.

Thank you for coming around 🥰

Hi beautiful people 🌹

It's good to be here again and it's also good to see you here again. Due to time constraint I haven't been able to look up more African songs for this community. My schedule for the week was very tight, therefore I chose to do a simple song by a African gospel artiste, Sammie Okposo. The title of the song is , "Na Only You I know".

This song seems to convey a message of a deep, personal relationship with God. Sammie Okposo acknowledges that God is the only one he truly knows and understands. He goes on to emphasize that even if the rest of the world may not recognize or acknowledge God's presence or love, he will make it known and proclaim it to everyone they encounter. So do I.

I chose this particular song because it also expresses gratitude and reliance on God's love and support. I am acknowledging that in times of struggle or failure, God is always there to catch me, lift me up, and never abandon me. The phrase "You raise me you no troway me" suggests that even when I make mistakes or fall, God doesn't give up on me.

Furthermore, the lyrics convey a sense of awe and wonder at the extent of God's love. I am of the belief that no other person can love me in the same way that God does. Therefore, in a nutshell, this song is a song of personal testimony, gratitude, and praise, celebrating the unchanging and unfailing love of God in my life.

The lyrics of the song can be seen below

Thank you for being here🌹🌹

Na only you I know

Even if the world no see so

I go let them know

That everywhere I go

Cos even times when I fall

You catch me

You raise me you no troway me

I no know if any other person

Go fit love me like the way you love me

Oh papa oo

Ooh Daddy moo

Because you love me so na only you I know

… Na only you I know

Even if the world no see so

I go let them know

That everywhere I go

Cos even times when I fall

You catch me

You raise me you no troway me

I no know if any other person

Go fit love me like the way you love me

Oh papa

Ooh Daddy

Because you love me so na only you I know

… Na only you I know ooo

Even if the world no see so

I go let them know

That everywhere I go

Even when I fall

You're always there to make me strong

You're the only one I know that can pick me up when no one is around

Oo papa oo

Ooh Daddy moo

Because you love me so na only you I know

Hi guys🤍🤍

It's me again, @emyekanem. It's wonderful to be a part of this week's open mic participation. I'm so in love with the week's theme as I have encountered a lot of amazing and surprisingly excellent entries. After pondering for days on a song that will be in accordance to the theme, the children's poem, "My Mother" crossed my mind. This poem is one of the numerous children's poem that has been recited and sung for a great number of years till date.

Songs like this helps to grow the relationship between mothers and the children while also bonding them. This song doesn't only relate to children alone. It bonds every human who has a mother or a mother figure in their life. It opens their mind to the love a mother has for her children.

The theme of being in love with nature and mother earth can be related to the poem, by highlighting the role of a mother in nurturing and caring for her child, much like how mother nature provides for and sustains all of life on earth. The lyrics of the song describe a mother as someone who kept them safe and protected, just as nature shelters and protects all living beings.

The imagery of the infant's head being watched over and the mother's arms being a place of comfort convey the idea of a loving and nurturing relationship that is similar to the one between humans and the natural world. The theme of being in love with nature and mother earth emphasizes the importance of valuing and protecting the planet that sustains us, just as we value and cherish the love and care that our mothers provide.

The lyrics of the poem is written below for your perusal

Thanks for having me🤍❤️🤍

Who fed me from her gentle breast,

And hush’d me in her arms to rest,

And on my cheek sweet kisses prest?

My Mother.

When sleep forsook my open eye,

Who was it sung sweet hushaby,

And rock’d me that I should not cry?

My Mother.

Who sat and watched my infant head,

When sleeping in my cradle bed,

And tears of sweet affection shed?

My Mother.

When pain and sickness made me cry,

Who gazed upon my heavy eye,

And wept for fear that I should die?

My Mother.

Who dress’d my doll in clothes so gay,

And taught me pretty how to play.

And minded all I had to say?

My Mother.

Who taught my infant lips to pray,

And love God’s holy book and day.

And walk in Wisdom’s pleasant way?

My Mother.

And can I ever cease to be

Affectionate and kind to thee,

Who was so very kind to me?

My Mother.

Ah, no! the thought I cannot bear;

And if God please my life to spare,

I hope I shall reward thy care,

My Mother.

Who ran to help me when I fell,

And would some pretty story tell,

Or kiss the place to make it well?

My Mother.

And when I see thee hang thy head,

‘Twill be my turn to watch thy bed.

And tears of sweet affection shed,

My Mother.

Hello fam🌹🌹

A very beautiful morning to y'all. You are all welcome to my blog again on this 65th week of the afritune's presentation. I'm delighted to have you watch my entry. It actually looked like I wouldn't be able to turn in my entry for this week but the Holy Spirit ministered unto me and this song came while I was washing the plates and I was like, "Oh!!! I'm gonna perform this song on the afritune's community"

The title of this song is "Jehovah Shammah", sung by Nathaniel Bassey, a Nigerian Gospel Artiste, who is amazingly talented. He knows how to pull the crowd physically and spiritually because the Holy Spirit is embedded in him. This song, Jehovah Shammah, is one of His simple and crowd pulling songs, as it gives people the assurance that Jehovah is real and He can be seen everywhere.

I'm singing this song because I have seen Jesus in my life and that of my family and friends. He usually goes before and behind us in all our endeavours, especially when we invite Him into our lives everyday and everytime. That is why our 'motto', be it church or anywhere is, "GOD FIRST". Having confidence and putting God first in everything you do will give you an edge of a better life.

The lyrics of the song is written below

Thank you once again for having me ❤️🤍❤️

Jehovah shammah I see you everywhere

Blessed redeemer your glory fills the earth

Everlasting father the one who watches me

I put my confidence in Jehovah shammah

Jehovah shammah I see you everywhere

Blessed redeemer your glory fills the earth

Everlasting father the one who watches me

I put my confidence in Jehovah shammah

Jehovah shammah olorielodedie agubatambadaworoso okwagi bu dikebadimbapkanara

Everlasting father the one who watches me

I put my confidence in Jehovah shammah

Jehovah shammah i see you everywhere

Blessed redeemer your glory fills the earth

Everlasting father the one who watches me

I put my confidence in Jehovah shammah

Everlasting father the one who watches me

I put my confidence in Jehovah shammah

Hi fam.
It's nice to have you in my blog again. I'm pretty sure you guys are doing great. This week is an amazing one with the theme, hopeful, as chosen by the spotlight artiste for the week, @jmis101. This theme generally reflects a positive and optimistic perspective or approach towards a specific situation, event, or future result. A person who is hopeful has faith in the potential to attain desired goals or outcomes and uphold a positive mindset despite the challenges or uncertainties that may arise.

To complement this theme, I had to do a medley which is made up of three songs, "Give Me You", "Breathe" and "No Words". The first song is sung by Shana Wilson and the second and last are by Dunsin Onyekan. The lyrics of the first song contain features of being hopeful when it says,
'Give me you, Everything else can wait
Give me you, I hope I'm not too late
Lord gimme you(4*)'
Here, the singer has hope that she is not too late to receive Jesus as she urges every other thing to wait.

The second and last songs also demonstrate hopefulness as the singer also hopes that God breathes His Name on Him and he also wants to sit at the feet of Jesus as he hopes that something better will come from Him. I'm singing this medley because I'm believing and hoping in Jesus Christ to continue with His wondrous work and love in my life. Thank you for watching and reading 🌹❤️🌹

The full lyrics of the three songs can be found in these links respectively:

Hi there, happy new month from me to you. I pray this new month will be the beginning of your best months of the year.
I also pray that you will be a beneficiary of every good thing this month will birth.

This week I want to encourage you to have faith and believe in God because his faithfulness is never failing. If He promises a thing, just believe and have no iota of doubt. You see, a lot of people fall out of this promise fulfillment because they don't know what patience really is. But God had already given us His word to wait on Him. So if He promises a thing, all I do is wait.

Earlier this week, I sat down to reminisce about how this year has been. I realized that God has been so faithful to me. He kept showing up for me when I thought of giving up. Therefore I opted to do a cover of "Too Faithful" originally sung by Moses Bliss, one of my favorite gospel artists. This guy has been blessing lives with his songs and I am not an exemption.

Whenever you get to the middle of an endeavor and it seems like going forward hurts, and going backwards hurts the more, connect your heart with your creator and remind Him that He's too faithful to fail. You'll be surprised how pulling through will become seamless.

Below are the lyrics of the song and I hope that God's faithfulness rides you smoothly throughout this month and beyond.

You are who You are yesterday
Today and forever more
What You say is what You do
You never fail, You never change
You are faithful till the end
Faithful God, I worship you
I worship you
You're too faithful to fail me
You're too faithful to disappoint me
You've proven Yourself in my life
And I've come to realize
You're too faithful to fail me
You're too faithful to fail me
Oh Jesus
You're too faithful to disappoint me
You've Proven Yourself in my life
And I've come to realize
You're too faithful to fail me
Hey, dah, dah, dah, dah, dah
Oh, dah dah, dah, hey, dah, dah, dah
Yes, we worship
You are, you are, God
You are who You are yesterday
Today (Today and forever more)
(What You say) What You say is what You do
Lord, you never fail
You never fail, You never change, God
You are faithful till the end (Faithful God)
Faithful God
I worship you
I worship you
You're too faithful to fail me
Yes, You're too faithful to disappoint me
(You're too faithful to disappoint me)
Hallelujah
You've proven Yourself
You've proven Yourself in my life
I've come to realize (And I've come to realize), yeah
(You're too faithful to fail me) too faithful
You're too faithful to fail me, God
(You're too faithful to fail me)
Lord, you're too faithful to disappoint me
(You're too faithful to disappoint me), oh, oh
Oh God
You've Proven Yourself
Hallelujah (You've Proven yourself in my life)
And I've come to realize, hey, hey, hey
You're too faithful to fail me, yeah, yeah
Oh, oh, You're too loving to leave me
Cah, sah, bah, bah, bah, dey, too loving
You're too loving to leave me halfway
What you start, You always finish
But I've come to realize
That You're too loving to leave me
Lord, You're too loving to leave me
(You're too loving to leave me)
Too loving, too loving, too loving
(You're too loving to leave me halfway)
Too loving to leave me halfway
What you start, You always finish
I've come to realize (And I've come to realize)
(You're too loving to leave me) yes, ha, ha

Hello guys,
Welcome to another week of the hive open mic. I'm glad to be here and I trust you all are doing great. This week's entries are really amazing, as performances are made in relation to the theme, "Passion for Art".

Music for me is the "universal language of mankind" because it is possible to evoke deep emotions, thoughts, and memories. Barriers of culture and language are not really a thing when it has to do with the art of music. The phrase "passion for art" signifies the emotional intensity, deep commitment, and expressive capability that an artist invests in their work. Music, being one of the most emotive forms of art, is a powerful conduit for conveying this passion.

Waking up this morning, I felt this song in my spirit "You raised me up" by Josh Groban. Though this song, from my research, was originally composed by Secret Garden but was made popular by Josh Groban. I felt uplifted by the song so I opted to make it my choice of presentation for the week.

The major structure of art in this song from my perspective is the way the melody is uplifting, the harmony sophisticated and warm and the lyrics are matchlessly deep and emotional.

I sincerely hope and believe that your heart is blessed by this presentation of mine and you find a reason to be inspired and uplifted by this song. Thanks for having me.

Below are some of the lyrics of the song

When I am down and, oh my soul, so weary
When troubles come and my heart burdened be
Then, I am still and wait here in the silence
Until you come and sit awhile with me

You raise me up, so I can stand on mountains
You raise me up, to walk on stormy seas
I am strong, when I am on your shoulders
You raise me up... To more than I can be

You raise me up, so I can stand on mountains
You raise me up, to walk on stormy seas
I am strong, when I am on your shoulders
You raise me up... To more than I can be….

Greetings, beautiful people🌹

It's a pleasure to perform in a new week of the Afritunes performance. I'm delighted to share my entry with you all. It's been quite a whirlwind week, but I'm glad I managed to carve out some time for my performance. I'm pretty worn out but I'm good☺️. I can see y'all are doing really amazing.

As for this week's performance, since I was unable to practice any of the recommended songs , I've decided to do a song by a Nigerian artiste, Emem Baseda. This song is titled, "Otommo Boko" in ibibio but in English it means, "God that saves when called upon". There is truly power in the name of Jesus. The name of Jesus is powerful to the extent that if He is called upon in any situation, you will surely be saved. Believe me, do not take the name of Jesus for granted as it is the most powerful and greatest name in Heaven and on Earth. Do not also call upon His name in vain.

The name of Jesus is fire as it can save you in any hurtful situation you find yourself. Therefore, do not hesitate to call on Him anytime in your life that you need Him. Thanks for coming around🤍🤍

Hi guys, it's good to have you here again. I can see you all are hiving great as well. For this week, I chose to perform a cover on a gospel music by Hezekiah Walker entitled, "Amazing". This is in accordance to the theme, "Be Okay", proposed by our spotlight artiste for the week, @maryjacy.

The song "Amazing" by Hezekiah Walker is a gospel song that deeply embodies themes of faith, hope, and the power of God's grace. The message conveyed by the song can be beautifully tied to the theme of 'Be Okay'.

In this song, God's love and miracles are said to be "so amazing". It tells a story about God, who gives power and direction, assuring the listener that His grace will get them through no matter what. This fits well with the theme, "Be Okay" because it gives a feeling of comfort, hope, and faith that everything will work out.

The song's lines like "It's so amazing, your love for me, it's so amazing, your sacrifice for me" show how deeply the singer believes in a higher power that cares about us and is willing to make sacrifices for our well-being. This gives a sense of comfort and peace, which goes well with the theme.

When you're going through hard times, it can help a lot to have something or someone to believe in. No matter if you believe in God or not, the message of "Amazing" is that there is something bigger than our troubles, and because of that, we will "Be Okay."

Therefore, "Amazing" by Hezekiah Walker is more than just a gospel song. It's a musical expression of hope, love, and the certainty that, in the end, we'll "Be Okay," no matter how hard things get. Thanks a million for coming around 🤍 🤍

Song Lyrics
It’s so amazing, it’s so amazing
Your love for me, your love for me
It’s so amazing, it’s so amazing
Your sacrifice for me
For every blessing, for every blessing
Given to me, given to me
For every valley, for every valley
You used to strengthen me
I don’t deserve your love
Your tender mercy
If not for your grace where would I be!
[2X]

I stand amazed at your glory. I stand amazed at your glory.
I stand amazed at your strength. I stand at amazing your strength.
I stand amazed at your power
So Amazing, So Amazing
So Amazing, Amazing

Yea I stand amazed. I stand amazed at your glory.
Come on and say I stand amazed. I stand at amazing your strength.
Yea, I stand amazed. I stand amazed at your power
So Amazing, So Amazing
Amazing, Amazing

Come on and say I stand amazed. I stand amazed at your glory.
Yea, I stand amazed. I stand at amazing your strength.
Yes God I stand amazed. I stand amazed at your power
So Amazing, So Amazing
Amazing, Amazing

Yea I stand amazed. I stand amazed at your glory.
I stand amazed. I stand at amazing your strength.

Hello lovelies 🌹
Welcome to another week of the afritunes performance. I'm pleased to have you watch my entry for this. The week is a very hectic one but I'm happy I've been able to take out time for my entry. I'm really stressed. I think you should see that on my face and body 😩😩

For the week's performance, I chose to do another original song that was composed for our choir. This song is titled, "At Your Feet". You know I'm not really good at secular musics, therefore, I do gospel for now till I'm able to do both☺️. This song is sung about God. This song talks about how we humble ourselves to Jesus whenever we are at His presence and even the creatures in heaven and on Earth bow to Him alone.

Each verse of this song reveals elements of faith, gratitude, surrender, and redemption. The words "feet" and "throne" make it clear that God is in charge and has power. The idea that all creatures in heaven and on earth bow down shows that everyone recognizes and respects God's power. The line "we've come to you in humbleness" is said over and over again to show that people are giving up and realizing their own limits in the face of God's power.

This song also speaks of the unique abilities attributed to God on the line where it says, 'for you have done what no man has done'. And he has won the victory over sin, death, and any form of hardship, a victory that we couldn't achieve on our own. Also, the ability to smile again and the end of 'wasted years' hint at a past of sorrow, struggle, or spiritual estrangement that has now been overcome through faith in God. I hope this song hints you with a reason to rekindle your faith in God. Thank you for coming around🥰🥰

Song Lyrics

At your feet
At your throne
we've come to you in humbleness
All creatures in heaven
And all creatures on Earth
Will bow to you
We've come to you in humbleness
For you have done what no man has done
And you've won the victory

I can smile again
It's over now
My wasted years are over
You've given me victory at all side by

Hi guys, you are welcome to week 161 of the give open mic performanceIt is good to see y'all again and I'm happy to be able to turn in my entry for this week. I trust you guys are doing great. I appreciate our spotlight artiste, @fernanblog, who chose the theme for this week as, "My Original Song".

This theme has given me more leverage to perform the song which was composed by my brother and I for our church choir. My brother is an upcoming artiste he has written hundreds of songs but has released only one track🤣. It's funny though but I know producing a song is quite expensive as well as giving it the popularity it needs. That notwithstanding, my brother still scribble down more song lyrics. Back to the song we composed together. This song is titled, "My God is Able".

Right from when rehearsing the song with the choir, to ministering in the church on Sunday, it was spirit filled and soul touching. Just imagine this song being accompanied with reggae beats, you'll understand what I mean😁. Just sit calm and listen to this song on the highest volume. You can even connect it to an MP3 to enjoy it more😅😅. @jesus-son, you can play your keyboard while listening to the song😊.

LYRICS OF THE SONG

My God is loving
He is mighty
He is great
Greater and the greatest (2*)

CHORUS

My God is able
He is able
To do.....What no man can do
My God is able
He is able
To do.......all things. (2*)

He is the miracle worker
Promise Keeper
Mountain mover
Life changer
He is able
My God is able(2*)

BACK TO CHORUS

He gave His life for us
Freed me from my past
Made everything new in the appointed time
He is able
My God is able(2*)

BACK TO CHORUS

I hope you also enjoy this song. ❤️Thanks for visiting my blog❤️

Hi guys, you are welcome to Afritunes, week 61. It is good to see y'all again and I'm happy that I'm able to turn in my entry for the week. Since I joined this community, I have never sang any of the recommended songs. Therefore I decided to give the one for this week a try. I chose to sing the gospel song, "Protocol Breaker" by Chidinmma. Though I've been really busy, I tried to take out time to score the song and I'm happy, I could score it a bit properly ☺️

This song, "Protocol Breaker," portrays God as the ultimate protocol breaker because he goes beyond the rules and standards of society. The song shows God as a source of inspiration and power for people who want to break away from the rules of society and live life on their own terms. By saying that God is a rule-breaker, Chidinma is emphasizing that breaking away from social rules is not just a personal decision, but one that comes from God.

I chose to sing this song because it rekindles my believe and faith that Jesus is the Alpha and the Omega and there is nothing He cannot do. He breaks protocol to heal us, he breaks protocol to set us free from any bondage, He breaks protocol to bless us and nobody can stop Him from doing whatever He chooses to do.
So I hope this song also rekindle something in you.

LYRICS

There is nothing You cannot do
Protocol Breaker
There is nothing You cannot do
Jehovah overdo o
I have tasted of Your love
I have seen Your mighty works
Mountain mover, my lover
Onye oma ne me nma
There is nothing You cannot do
Protocol Breaker
There is nothing You cannot do
Jehovah overdo o
I have tasted of Your love
I have seen Your mighty works
Mountain mover, my lover
Onye oma ne me nma

You found me worthy
I heard You call my name
And then You showed me love
You filled my heart with joy
Oya take my heart, I give it to You
It belongs to You
You have taken over me
So run come everybody
Thank Jesus for me
He has done that which no man can do
So run come everybody
Thank Jesus for me
He has opened up the door

There is nothing You cannot do
Protocol Breaker
There is nothing You cannot do
Jehovah overdo o
I have tasted of Your love
I have seen Your mighty works
Mountain mover, my lover
Onye oma ne me nma
There is nothing You cannot do
Protocol Breaker
There is nothing You cannot do
Jehovah overdo o
I have tasted of Your love
I have seen Your mighty works
Mountain mover, my lover
Onye oma ne me nma

You said that I'm the one
You have been looking for
And then You changed my name o
You wiped away my tears o
And You overwhelmed me
This love is too much
What can I say?
Hallowed be Your name
So run come everybody
Thank Jesus for me
He has done that which no man can do
So run come everybody
Thank Jesus for me
He has opened up the door

There is nothing You cannot do
Protocol Breaker
There is nothing You cannot do
Jehovah overdo oh
I have tasted of Your love
I have seen Your mighty works
Mountain mover, my lover
Onye oma ne me nma
There is nothing You cannot do

Hello guys🌹🌹
I welcome you to hive open mic performance of week 160. I know you all are hiving great☺️. For me, I'm doing good as well. This week's theme is centered on 'Fraternity' and with respect to that, I decided to do one of Barbie's song, titled, "Two Voices, One Song". When I was younger, I tend to have this burning passion for Barbie's movies and the songs sang in those movies. I usually wished I was going to be likeherbecause I kept watching the 3D cartoon version of her (where she is always portrayed as an epitome of beauty), not knowing that cartoons don't exist🤦. I realized that when I grew older😭😭 and I stopped being her friend🤣

"Two Voices, One Song," which is in the Barbie movie "Barbie and the Diamond Castle," can be linked to the idea of "fraternity" in the sense of brotherhood and close friendships. The song is about how two people from different places can come together, find something they have in common, and make something beautiful by working together.

This song can be seen as a metaphor for the strong bonds that form between people who come from different backgrounds, have different hobbies, or have different points of view. Their shared experiences, beliefs, and goals help them become close. Like the two sounds in the song, fraternity members find a way to blend their differences to make the group feel like a whole.

The song is a good anthem for people who believe in the value of brotherhood and sisters and the good things that these relationships can do for people and communities. The lyrics of the song is provided below:

LYRICS

It's so rare to find a friend like you
Somehow when you're around the sky is always blue
The way we talk
The things you say
The way you make it all ok
And how you know
All of my jokes
But you laugh anyway

If I could wish for one thing
I take the smile that you bring
Wherever you go in this world
I'll come along

Together we dream the same dream
Forever I'm here for you you're here for me
Two voices one song

And anywhere you are you know I'll be around
And when you call my name I'll listen for the sound

If I could wish for one thing
I take the smile that you bring
Wherever you go in this world I'll come along
Together we dream the same dream
Forever I'm here for you, you're here for me
Two voices one song

Hello friends of the Afritunes community.. Happy new month to you all. I wish that this month will be the beginning of our best months of this year.

This week I choose to do a cover of a song titled Breathe by Dunsin Onyekan. This song has been the strength to my weaknesses most of the time. Whenever it feels like pushing on is so strength-draining, all I do is play this song and pray to God to breathe His strength on me. His breathe has always been so revamping and reviving.

In the Bible, when Jesus was about to commission His disciples for service, He breathed on them the Holy Spirit so that they can do more exploit. This breathe took them to places and helped triumph over so many hurdles.

I don't know what your to-do list for this month and beyond looks like but whenever you are so drained of strength, one powerful prayer to keep you going will be "Lord breathe your breath on me". This short prayer is so powerful beyond explanation..

Let's get to the main deal of the day... Did I say this song was written and released by Dunsin Oyekan? I think I did...
So.... Have fun while listening to this song, I hope it blesses your heart and soul☺️.

Below are the lyrics of the song

Father to child, Spirit to spirit
Lighted by Your Word
And with Your breath of life
That’s how I come alive
That’s how I change my world (Repeat)

Just breathe Your Name upon me, breathe!
Just breathe Your Name upon me, breathe!
YOD-HAY-WAW-HAY (YHWH) is Your Name, breathe Lord
Just breathe Your Name upon me, breathe! (Repeat)

(From the Top)

Just breathe your name upon me breathe
That’s all you need, that’s all you need
The breath of the Almighty makes the difference
That’s how you come alive
That’s how you can change your world
Breathe Breathe Breathe
Lord breathe your name
YOD-HAY-WAW-HAY (YHWH), breathe

Good evening family and friends of the hive open mic community. You are welcome to hive open mic week 159. I'm somewhat mesmerized by your beautiful performances. It's truly wonderful and I must say, I love almost all the entries. I must apologize again for not being consistent here, work and school is not really giving me the time I need. Biko🤲 pardon me.

Lest I forget, my appreciation goes to the spotlight artist of this week and our lover boy😅😅, @jesus-son for choosing such a wonderful theme which says, "a good friend". With respect to the theme, I chose to do a cover of GUC's "Captured my Heart". Captured My Heart" is a heartfelt song that portrays Jesus as a good friend, someone who is always present in our lives, providing love, comfort, and guidance. Throughout the song, the lyrics emphasize the deep bond between Jesus and the believer, illustrating how Jesus' presence has a transformative impact on their life.

The song title conveys the idea that Jesus' love is so overwhelming and powerful that it completely captivates the believer, filling their heart with gratitude, devotion, and a desire to follow in His footsteps. Jesus' friendship is portrayed as a life-changing experience that brings hope, healing, and a sense of purpose to those who choose to accept it. Therefore I choose and accept Jesus as my only true friend.

Song Lyrics
There's no day that you don't show me love
There's no day that you don't help me out
You have promised that you won't let me down
And Yes you are real, i'm not dreaming
You are the one for me my Love

Hello there, ladies and gentlemen, I'm super delighted to avail myself for this week's performance and I'm also happy to listen to your entries for this week. I must say, it's peng💋. I must say, it's been decades since I last presented in this community. Pardon me lovelies, I've been really busy with school and work. I go out early morning and come back home tired but I thank God for this opportunity.

For this week's performance, I chose to do a song titled, "What a Beautiful Name" by Hillsongs. This is one of my best songs that I find myself singing every moment. What really triggered me to sing this song here is the wonders the Name of Jesus do whenever He is called upon. His Name do wonders and no other name can be compared to His.

I had an issue in school and I was really worried about it. The night I discovered about this problem, I couldn't sleep as I cried my eyes out by talking to God and calling upon His Name. I lost hope that the issue will be rectified and I decided to accept my fate and made up my mind to "write the course again". The first day which the test was scheduled for, was postponed (though I felt reluctant going for the test) and the next date wasn't communicated.

I decided to visit home from the hostel where I stay (at annex) putting on a short (two piece material) which is prohibited in classes( I didn't have any class to attend the whole of that week that's why I put it on) I woke up to a call by 6:32, with the person telling me, "African Drama test is by 7am, come with the book, 'Homecoming'"🥺🥺 I spranged up without brushing my teeth nor having my bath. When I reached school, I wasn't allowed inside (town campus where the test will be held) because of my dressing. All my efforts to explain the situation of things to the security men proved abortive. By this time, it was already 7:15 and it was getting late already.

I also knew that I won't be able to meet up if I go change in the hostel and return. I was like, "Oh God, why is this thing happening this way? Ok!! let thy will be done." I went back to the hostel with the mindset of calling the lecturer and telling him what happened (although that didn't look easy). I sat down and pondered on what is going on with this course but I saw God do a new thing. My spirit has been communicating with me, telling me to check my result again. When I did, I saw that the issue was rectified and I passed the course without passing through the stress of frequenting the lecturers office.

Therefore, I urge you today to take your problems to the Lord no matter what it is and see the wonders He will do because by the mention of His Name, every knee must bow. Thank you for reading and listening to the song. Hope to see you next week💋🌹💋

The song lyrics is written below for your humble perusal

You were the Word at the beginning
One with God the Lord Most High
Your hidden glory in creation
Now, revealed in You our Christ

What a beautiful Name it is, what a beautiful Name it is
The Name of Jesus Christ my King
What a beautiful Name it is, nothing compares to this
What a beautiful Name it is, the Name of Jesus

You didn't want heaven without us
So Jesus, You brought heaven down
My sin was great, Your love was greater
What could separate us now?

What a wonderful Name it is, what a wonderful Name it is
The Name of Jesus Christ my King
What a wonderful Name it is, nothing compares to this
What a wonderful Name it is, the Name of Jesus
What a wonderful Name it is, the Name of Jesus

How sweet is Your Name, Lord, how good You are)
We love to sing in Your Name, Lord, love to sing of who You are

Death could not hold You, the veil tore before You
You silenced the boast of sin and grave
The Heavens are roaring the praise of Your glory
For You are raised to life again

You have no rival, You have no equal
Now and forever, God, You reign
Yours is the Kingdom, Yours is the Glory
Yours is the Name above all names

What a powerful Name it is, what a powerful Name it is
The Name of Jesus Christ my King
What a powerful Name it is, nothing can stand against
What a powerful Name it is, the Name of Jesus

Happy new month everyone, it's wonderful to see y'all again for this week open mic. I have been down health wise and I thank God I've been able to pull through.

For this week and for the theme, DNA, I decided to do a song by Rihanna, lift me up"*. The song "Lift Me Up" by Rihanna is a powerful and uplifting track that was used in the hit movie Black Panther**. The film, which is set in the fictional African nation of Wakanda, features a diverse and talented cast of actors, and the soundtrack is no exception. With its driving beat and soaring vocals, "Lift Me Up" perfectly captures the spirit of the movie, providing a fitting backdrop to the film's epic action scenes and emotional moments.

Throughout the film, "Lift Me Up" helps to underscore the themes of unity, strength, and determination that are central to the story of Black Panther. The song's lyrics, which encourage listeners to rise above their challenges and strive for greatness, perfectly align with the film's message of hope and inspiration. Whether it's playing during an intense battle scene or accompanying a poignant moment, "Lift Me Up" adds to the movie's already impressive musical landscape and helps to make Black Panther one of the most memorable films of recent years.

Here is the lyrics of the song

Lift me up
Hold me down
Keep me close
Safe and sound
Burning in a hopeless dream
Hold me when you go to sleep
Keep me in the warmth of your love
When you depart, keep me safe
Safe and sound
Lift me up
Hold me down
Keep me close
Safe and sound
Drowning in an endless sea
Take some time and stay with me
Keep me in the strength of your arms
Keep me safe
Safe and sound
Lift me up
Hold me down
Keep me safe
Safe and sound
Burning in a hopeless dream
Hold me when you go to sleep
Keep me safe
We need light, we need love
lift me up in your arms
(Hold me down) I need love, I need love, I need love
(Keep me close) hold me, hold me
(Safe and sound) hold me, hold me, hold me, hold me
(Lift me up) hold me, hold me, hold me, hold me
(Hold me down) hold me, hold me
(Keep me safe) we need light, we need love

Greetings everyone😊 I'm happy to get involved in this week's open mic. It actually seemed like it wouldn't be possible to make a music video for this week because I've really been engaged in my mom's restaurant. My mom took up her cooking again after staying home through out last week because of unavailability of cash to go buy food stuffs. A lot of customers who came to eat all offered to make a transfer and my mom accepted but the next morning, she couldn't find any POS attendant to withdraw the money. So she decided not to cook last week, thinking that by this week, everything will go back to normal a bit.

This week became worse as she already made up her mind not to get money transfer from any customer, but that didn't work as a lot of the customers still offered to make transfers. So we decided to get the transfer with charges. Getting money around here is really tough though but I thank God for always making a way where there seems to be no way.

From Monday till Friday, I haven't been chanced to make a video, therefore I decided to rush back home early today so as to involve myself in this week's open mic. Coming home, the neighbors and kids around disturbed a lot with noises, I had to go and hide in a room with the doors and windows locked so as to carry this out successfully and I'm happy I did.

According to the week's theme, "Traditional Music", I decided to do a song by GodFada which is titled, "Victory". I chose this song because it is sung in my traditional language (Ibibio). The lyrics of the song is written below:

LYRICS

Hello fam, you are all welcome to another beautiful week of hive open mic. I'm delighted to have you in my blog again. Although the week has been a dull one, with everyone not being happy with the just concluded election, where their most preferred presidential aspirant wasn't announced the winner. Also, money hasn't fully been in circulation yet therefore a lot of people are suffering as they have money in their bank accounts but can't use it.

A lot of people who can't cope with the situation in their businesses have decided to stay home, especially the market women, who won't want to get transfer as they do not have accounts, and even if they had one, they might not also see where to withdraw the money to buy their goods. I know all these happenings will last just for a while, everything will be good again.

According to this week's theme, Faith, hope, and love, I have chosen to sing a song by Lawrence Flower, which is known as MORE. This song is one that talks about faith and hope. It talks about those in the sense that one who has faith and hope in God and decides to give Him everything, do what He says in His word, and go wherever He wants him/her to, his/her life will be blessed and enriched. I decided to do the cover of the song in an acapella form. To listen to the full song, you can visit this site

Here is the lyrics

Verse 1
Oh the worshipers in me wants to be free
From the cares of life that seems to weigh me down
Yes the worshiper in me needs consistency
To lift my hands to give you praise when no ones around

Verse 2
Oh the worshiper in me wants to break free
From the intellectual mentality
Like when I should be up, I'm seated in my seat
I should be lifting my hands giving you praise and glory....
I should be giving you more
More...
I should be giving you more

Chorus:
I wanna give my best to you
I wanna do what you asked me to
I wanna go wherever you say
Just say the word and I'll obey
I wanna live a life that's real
I wanna serve you lord for real
For you deserve all this and more
So I give you more
More
I give you more more
You're deserving of more (repeat several times)
I GIVE YOU MORE (repeat several times)
I surrender all, I surrender all
All to thee, my blessed Savior
I surrender all

Hello everyone, you are welcome to another week of the hive open mic contest. I'm glad I'm able to participate in it. I'm happy that I'll have time to surf the hive open mic community more than I used to, although I know it will last for just two weeks. We've gone on a two week break from school activities because of the upcoming presidential and governorship election. Our school will be one of the polling centres. So as to ensure the safety of students, we've all been ask to vacate the hostel but we can come and cast our votes on the D-day.

For this week, I chose to do a song by Salvation Ministry with the title, "Chioma Meh". The theme this week is virtue, which means a particular manifestation of moral excellence in a person or an admirable quality or character portrayed by a person, such as love, patience, faithfulness. A person who is referred to as a virtuous person is one whose character is worthy of emulation. He or she is of an exemplary quality.

The author of virtue is our God and Saviour and without Him, virtues such as love and patience wouldn't have existed. His virtue of love is portrayed when He decided to come down to earth to die for our sins so we won't perish. That is why in the Bible, John 3:16 says, "For God so loved the world, that He gave His only begotten son, that whosoever believes in Him, shall not perish but have everlasting life."

Chioma meh means Good God
Here is the lyrics in case you'd love to sing along
**You are my H… E… R… O…
You are my K… I… N… G…
You are my presence help A… L… W… A… Y… S…
In You, I’ve got a friend
A friend indeed
Your Love is so Great
Can’t express it all (2ce)
Bridge:
OH… OH… OH… OH…
EY… EY… EY… EY…
OH… OH… OH… OH…
Chioma me eh… (2ce)
Odigi Onye dika gi
Chioma me eh
Chi Ngi eme onu
Your are the Great I Am
The Great friend of All (2ce)
Idi Ebube ey… ey… ey… ey…
My Lord and friend
Crown in Majesty
We lift our voice and declare your grace
(return to Chorus):
Chioma me eh

Hello hive open mic family. It's another week of the open mic contest and I'm glad to participate in it. I guess you all are doing okay? I feel good through Christ who protects and keeps me. My participating in this open mic contest has always given me a lot of joy, I must say, i'm super excited as school activities hasn't been a barrier.

I appreciate our spotlight artist, @jessicaossom who was selected to pick a theme for the week. She did well by choosing "Light of the World". I also love her performance, I must commend, it's awesome. Her voice combo is wow🥰🥰 keep up the good work.
So for the theme, "Light of the World", a person can either light up the other's world or dim it. By lighting up the other's world, I mean, one can help a person who has been in dire need of one thing or the other (without getting help from anywhere or anybody). By so doing, he or she has lighted up the person's world or better said, put a smile on the person's face.

For this theme I decided to do an original song by me titled, "LONG TIME AGO". The tune is gotten from a song I can't remember because it's been long but the lyrics are mine. This song talks about me, a long time ago when I was still associating myself with the things of the world. I didn't know about Jesus and what he can do, so I decided to think over and over again and then knew that the right path is to give my life to him and see the wonders he will do in my life.

Immediately I gave my life to Jesus and accepted Him as my personal Lord and Saviour, He lighted up my world. I then realized that the ungodly things I used to do, that I stopped doing them because things became different when Jesus lighted up my world and came into my life.

Below is the lyrics of the song in case you wanna sing with me😊

Long time ago
When I was still in the world
I knew not Jesus
I know my life wasn't well
I then think over, over and over again
I then decided
To give my life to him

Things are different now
Something happened to me
When I gave my life to Jeesus
Things I used to do
I do them no more
Things are different now
Something happened to me
When I gave my life to Jesus
❤️❤️

Therefore, I beseech you all today to accept Jesus as your personal Lord and Saviour and see what your life will be like with Him in it. Thank you very much for viewing my blog. Remain bless in Jesus Name. Amen🙏❤️🙏.

A wonderful evening to you distinguished members of the hive open mic community. it is my greatest pleasure to avail myself for this week's open mic and I'm quite delighted. It hasn't always been easy though but with God, I keep scaling through.

The above performance has come to play regardless of the trials and error I encountered as a result of putting this together. This song is originally sung in a worship way by Moses Bliss and it is titled 'Daddy Wey Dey Pamper'. I decided to freestyle the song using a trap beat😅. It was kind of funny though when I tried to rap like some of our artist rappers such as phyno, and I was like, "wow!! it takes skills and passion to be able to do this with ease".

I was so happy when I successfully put this piece together. According to the week's theme, "Starlight", I'd say that starlight consist of two words which are, 'star' and 'light'. A mere hearing these two words put together, what comes into my mind is a light that is being emitted from stars. Both star and light shines. I chose to sing this song because Jesus is my starlight, He shines into my life and everything I do. Even when I dey always fall him hands by fucking up, He still holds my hands to show me the way and never letting go

He is a father who pampers and blesses. Looking around at the things going on in our society today, we will realize that indeed he has let His light shine upon us. The lyrics of the song is written below in case you'd love to rap with me😅.

Even when I fall your hands
You still dey hold my hands
Lover of my soul
You no dey break my heart
I'll sing about your mercies
I'll sing about your grace
Na you dey burst my brain
Every night and day

Daddy wey dey pamper
Daddy wey dey bless
Forever you're my father
Na you dey gimme rest
When I look around
I see your faithfulness
I bow down on my knees
Cos na you wey be the best

Thank you for coming around 🌹🌹

Hello ladies and gentlemen of this amazing community. I trust everyone is doing great? I'm actually feeling good myself. Most especially because I'm able to participate in this week's performance. I bet you all are not cut out for my long story.

I have really been busy with school activities that it usually feels/looks like I won't be able to do anything tangible on this community or the hive platform as a whole in a whole week. But I give God all the glory for giving me the strength to at least take this day out to do something and I'm really happy this week is not a waste.

I'm singing this song because I have really gone through a lot. I stay in the school's hostel therefore I'm going through a lot of things best known to my God and I. I am really grateful that he has seen me through in all my everyday endeavours. I know some of us know how life is usually tough when staying in the school's hostel, coupled with the way our economy is (the money and fuel wahala 🙄😅). We are actually surviving on God🙏.

This song is a song we formed during our choir rehearsals back then in church. We did what is called, 'cut and join'🤣. We actually took the first part of the song from another song and then join it to the Ibibio part (which we normally hear on the radio). It was kind of amazing after the cujoining🤣. I really hope you also enjoy it as you listen to it.
Thank you💋

Happy new month wonderful hivers of the afritune community. I hope you are all hiving great? It is actually my greatest pleasure to be a part of this week's performance. I'm most grateful to God Almighty for the strength, grace, wisdom and enablement he has embedded in me to be able to put this piece together.

For this week's performance, I was so confused on which song to present because I had a lot of songs running through my mind. Alas, I decided to cover a song by a popular gospel artist, Bobby Frigga, titled, 'AMEYAIYA'. It is a combination of Ibibio(our native language) and the English language. Ameyaiya means, 'YOU ARE BEAUTIFUL'. This song is sung, to adore the King of Kings and Lord of Lord's for His goodness with the people He created and the wondrous works He has done on Earth.

Therefore the song is saying, that God is so beautiful, that He rules over the earth with wisdom. You can imagine a person ruling trillions of people and protecting them as well and even knowing their mind and providing for their needs. Isn't our God beautiful and wonderful for being able to do such? For all of these we will always bow before His throne and lift our hands to give Him all the glory and praise He deserves.

Please sit tight and listen to the song and I hope you get to enjoy it😊😊💋

LYRICS!!!!

Ameyaiya oo Jesus ×3
Ameyaiya oo Beautiful God You Are -
Yes You Are Beautiful.

Ameyaiya oo Jesus×3
Ameyaiya oo Beautiful God You Are - Yes You Are Beautiful.

Mighty God We Bow Before Your Throne.
King of Kings You Rule Over This Earth.
We Raise Our Hands To Give You All The Glory. We Lift Your Name On High.
You Are Worthy To Be Praise.

Ooooh !Jesus! Ameyaiya oo!
I say beautiful God.
Ameyaiya o hey Jesus. Ameyaiya oo beautiful God you are!! Yes you are beautiful...

Ameyaiya - Ameyaiya
Ameyaiya - Ameyaiya
Ameyaiya - Ameyaiya
Ameyaiya - Ameyaiya.
Ameyaiya - Ameyaiya
Ameyaiya - Ameyaiya
Ameyaiya
Yes You Are Beautiful...

Greetings everyone, I hope you all are doing great? I'm really glad to be a part of this week's presentation/performance. It actually looked like I wasn't going to be able to participate though, because of certain circumstances. But I thank God for giving me the grace and enablement.

The theme of this week which centers on, 'The Union actually got me singing the song, 'Amanam' by Progress Effiong. I did the song alone without any accompaniment or harmony because I could not reach my bassist friend, @dave-estates who usually gives me the vibe with his strings. Not only that. Everything happened this way because, during the week, I was hooked up with school activities. I'm happy I could still participate.

When I here the word, 'union', what comes to my mind is, the state of being united with or joined to something or somebody. It can also be referred to as a confederation, a consolidated body, or a league. I chose to render this song because it unites me with my God.

As you'll read on, you will get to see the lyrics of the song. It is a combination of English and Ibibio. The song praises and thanks God for everything that He has done, for sending His Son, Jesus Christ, to come die on the cross of Calvary so that we all should be set free. The 'amanam' means, 'You have done it'. The song also thanks him for the healing and deliverance released on us whenever we are I'll. So, for everything that he has done and will do, we decide to raise our voice to sing that he has done it all for us.

Please sit tight and listen to the song and I hope you get to enjoy it😊😊
Thank you💋

Here is the Song lyrics

Hello beautiful people of this reputable community. I'm Emediong Ekanem aka @emyekanem. It's actually my first time participating here. I'm thrilled to know that there is a community on the hive platform that encourages the African music performance.

Therefore, to participate in this week's performance, I'll be presenting a song cover in our native dialect (Ibibio) titled, "Àkànâm Ñkwé" which in English means, "I Have Never Seen a God Like You". I'm doing this song in collaboration with one of my bassist friend who invited me to this community, @dave-estates. I actually know the miraculous things God has done in my live and that of my parents and siblings. His love for us cannot be measured neither can it be compared to any other love.

He loves me more than anyone will. He stood by me even when my friends and families turned their back on me. Dear friends, this God in heaven is too good that's why I'm presenting this song. I had to take on two parts (treble and tenor) so the song will be more pleasant to the ear. The editing part wasn't an easy task but at last, we scaled through😁.

This song is one of our popular native sing composed to be sung in churches or whenever you wannna praise God. Please sit tight and listen. To enjoy it better, headset or an earpiece is recommended.

Below is the lyrics in Ibibio Ami nkoyoyomEyen Abasi edise mi ooAmi nke tua nsemeEyen Abasi omum mi akama ku ubokNsuto ima ediemi ooooEditiene mi ekwoJesus ama mi oooEyak ino eye UbongNsuto ima ediemi ooooEditiene mi ekwoJesus ama mi oooEyak ino eye UbongChorus

Good morning everyone, hope you all are good? It's my first time participating in this prestigious community. It's quite intriguing that I'm able to find a community where I'd be able to express myself with something I love doing most. I was invited to this platform by a good friend of mine, @dave-estates, who did a good job by lecturing and enlightening me on the rules and regulations of the community. I'll do my best to keep to them.

There are a lot of talented people out there, who are looking for communities such as this to show people and the world at large how good they can sing. I am opportune to encounter this opportunity. I will also make sure to invite people to this wonderful community, who's got the talent to sing and play instruments.

I'm so much delighted to be able to participate in this week's open mic which is tagged, "Glory". When I saw the theme, what came into my mind was the honour, admiration, or distinction that is being accorded by common consent to a person or thing. Therefore, instead of me according this honour and admiration to a person, I decided to accord it to God alone for his infinite love and mercy for my families, friends, and I. His protection and guidance has led me to where I am today as well as, made me who I am today.

God deserves all the glory and praises for the wonderful things he has done in my life. So, I decided to sing a song by Hill Song, titled, "Here I am to Worship". This song also helps to uplift the soul and also win souls for Christ. I hope you enjoy it.🥰💋

Below is the lyrics of the song:

Light of the world, You stepped down into darkness
Opened my eyes, let me see
Beauty that made this heart adore You
Hope of my life spent with You

And here I am to worship
Here I am to bow down
Here I am to say that You're my God
You're altogether lovely
Altogether worthy
Altogether wonderful to me

King of all days
Oh, so highly exalted
Glorious in heaven above
Humbly You came to the earth You created
All for love's sake became poor

And here I am to worship
Here I am to bow down
Here I am to say that You're my God
You're altogether lovely
Altogether worthy
Altogether wonderful to me

I'll never know how much it cost
To see my sin upon that cross
(4x)
