This is the final episode of the Impactus Young Man's Podcast as we get ready for a new direction.

We're closing this chapter and preparing to launch a brand-new podcast this fall with a new format, new voices, and the same heart to help men follow Jesus in every area of life.

To wrap things up, Jordan looks back on some of the most powerful conversations we’ve had, that focused on one of the most important topics for men today: fatherhood and discipleship at home.

Conversation with Jordan’s Dad A personal and honest look at why your own walk with God is the foundation for leading your kids. Before you disciple your children, you need to let God shape you.

Conversation with Andrew Wood This clip focuses on building spiritual rhythms in the home and making church a regular part of family life even when it feels inconvenient.

Conversation with Justin Whitmel Earley Author of Habits of the Household, Justin shares how everyday routines like bedtime and walks can become sacred moments that shape our kids. The goal is not to do more, but to be more intentional with what is already happening.

Conversation with Chris Walker Chris highlights how to make the most of everyday teachable moments. He challenges dads to ask better questions, model wisdom, and help their kids grow into people who obey Jesus from the heart.

Whether you’re a new dad, expecting your first, or mentoring the next generation, this episode will equip and encourage you.

Be sure to follow the new Impactus Podcast, launching this September, hosted by Jordan, Dean Brenton, and Chris Walker. We’ll continue having honest and helpful conversations for men of all ages.

In this episode Jordan unpacks lessons from the recent Impactus Men's Conference in Brampton, Ontario. The theme of the conference was "Rooted". Did you know the deepest roots extend 1,200 feet underground? Or that the mighty redwoods have shallow roots but gain strength by intertwining with others? These fascinating examples reflect the central question we explored: What does it look like for a man to be rooted?

Above the surface, men often show their hard work, leadership, and care for others. But what about beneath the surface—the parts of our lives no one sees?

In this episode you will hear Jordan's thoughts on three key moments from the event. They include: 1. Finu Iype on Being Rooted in Christ – Learn why rooting your life in Jesus means removing idols and trusting in Him as your firm foundation. Discover why "everyone worships," and how misplaced worship can eat you alive. 2. Dustin Boreland on Being Rooted in Truth – Explore how to anchor yourself in Scripture amid cultural confusion and spiritual warfare. Hear his warning: The devil roars loud but roams quietly. 3. Dwayne Cline on Being Rooted in Justice – Be stirred to action as he challenges us to engage with the brokenness around us, moving beyond judgment to bring God’s justice to a hurting world.

In this episode, Jordan tackles a phrase often heard and widely accepted: "Follow Your Heart."

With over 2.2 million uses of #followyourheart on Instagram and messages from popular culture like Disne encouraging us to follow our hearts, it seems like a harmless and even inspiring idea.

But what does it really mean? More importantly, what does the Bible say about it?

In today’s society, "following your heart" often means trusting your: - Intuition - Gut feelings - Desires

It's about letting these internal drivers lead you, charting your own course, and doing what’s best for you.

But is this the best way to live and succeed?

Is it a good framework for young men?

In this episode, we explore the Christian faith’s unique and counter-cultural understanding of the heart.

Instead of following our hearts, Jordan offers three alternatives. 1. Evaluate Your Heart 2. Surrender Your Heart 3. Guard Your Heart

LIsten in as we unpack these alternatives and discover a life-giving path rooted in biblical wisdom.

But in a world with many different voices and opinions vying for our kids’ attention, some of which are completely counter to our faith, the responsibility of being a dad comes with a host of challenging questions:

  • What does it mean to help “form” my kids into people who walk in the way of Jesus?

  • How do I protect them from outside forces that would pull them away from the Lord?

In this podcast, Jordan sits down with Dr. Chris Walker, our Content Editor at Impactus and an adjunct professor at Tyndale University, to discuss how we can partner with the Holy Spirit to form our kids into people who know the Lord and walk in His ways, regardless of whatever cultural influences they may face.

Before she passed away, Queen Elizabeth II pulled a lighthearted prank on two American tourists. Unbeknownst to them, they found themselves in the company of royalty, and the Monarch chose not to reveal their error.

The amusing incident serves as a great source of entertainment. You can catch the full story here.

Similar to the unsuspecting tourists, Christian men often find themselves in a similar situation during Christmas. While we talk and sing about the holiday, we may miss the profound message—that a KING has come.

As men, we resist being told that we're not the kings of our own castles. We engage in a wrestling match with God, sometimes relinquishing control only to snatch it back from His hands.

In this podcast episode, Jordan offers an encouragement regarding the two responses to the Kingship of Jesus. Hostility or Humility.

Will you be like the two tourists—unaware of whom you've encountered—or will you bow in worship?

Developing a vibrant prayer life can be a transformative journey for Christian men, but not without its challenges.

In a world filled with distractions and demands, carving out intentional time for prayer can seem daunting. The busyness of work, family responsibilities, and social obligations often compete for attention, making it difficult to prioritize prayer. Doubts and questions may creep in, raising concerns about the effectiveness or relevance of prayer in the modern age. Distractions, both external and internal, can pull focus away from communing with God. Moreover, maintaining consistency in prayer can be a struggle, as life's ups and downs can sometimes dampen enthusiasm.

Despite all this, we are still encouraged to pray. But why? Is it just a means to a selfish end? To get what we want? Or does God have something greater for men than that?

In this episode, Jordan and Andrew discuss their own struggles with developing a prayer life and some of the tips and tricks that helped them take some steps forward in this area. As well, they share their own experience of starting a prayer group at each of their local churches.

One of the most relatable passages in scripture comes from Romans 7. It’s when the apostle Paul shares an internal struggle. He says, he does the things he does not want to do, and doesn't do the things that he wants to do.

He goes on to describe himself as "wretched". Have you ever felt that way? Where you couldn’t understand why you are the way that you are?

On today's podcast, Jordan interviews Ken Dyck from Freedom Session International Ministries about how you can reject the lies you've believed and how you can live free from the hurts, habits and hangups of our past.

Often times this means opening your life, hurts and will to the leadership of Jesus, and inviting Him to reinterpret the painful memories that satan uses to keep you in bondage.

We no longer need to be identified by our mistakes or the harm done to us. Instead, our story can finish with a God-inspired ending - one marked by freedom and abundant life.

They discuss themes from Barna's most recent report on men, titled 5 Essentials for Engaging Men such as male pessimism, loneliness, identity, and why there is hope for men despite some of the startling studies.
