How are you all doing?
This is yet another great time in the Afritunes community's weekly event ,week 72 and my humble self @tobbysax will be most delighted to be a part of this week's task.
I haven't been present for a little bit but on my return, I found out how much I've missed . The previous week's entries were all wonderful and congratulations to the nominated artistes of the week and goodluck to the winner in advance.
For this week's entry , I'lld be modifying my entry from week 50's edition but this time with the use of the cultural instrument called the "shekere" used to maintain the pace in music and also to project the pride African contribution to music.
This was a rhythm I realised my self and I just decided to present us the modified version of this tune.

How are we all doing?
It is yet another marvellous week on the community music zone's weekly event, the hive music festival week 39, round 3 and I, @tobbysax would with great joy love to be a part of this week's challenge.
It feels really good to be able to make an entry for this week and I also look forward to checking out professional performances from every of my friends (you all) in this community. A quick shout out to the pillars of this prestigious community @musiczone for how well you've been upholding so far....your'e doing an amazing job.
For today's presentation, I will be bringing to us an original of mine that I composed a few years back during the COVID break. It is titled "SO HIGH" . This is the shortest of the songs I've composed so far ....with a verse and chorus.
We're all aware of how things were during the COVID break ... I composed this particular song as an encouragement to myself and to everyone around me that whatever happened at that time was only a phase and it would pass....and indeed, it did pass, didn't it? Lol.
Beyond the situation of the continent at the time, I use the song as a point of contact to as many that are passing through the toughest of times and are trying their best to stay strong and refuse to be broken by circumstances , I tell you in this song to just hang on a little longer .... it's just a phase and not your final destination.
I know for a fact that soon enough, we wouldn't have to put on fake smiles so we don't reflect what is really going on because we refused to be a victim of circumstances, we stood upright, we fought and we conquered.

Es otra semana maravillosa en el evento semanal de la zona de música de la comunidad, el festival de música de colmena semana 39, ronda 3 y a mí, a @tobbysax, me encantaría ser parte del desafío de esta semana.
Se siente muy bien poder hacer una entrada para esta semana y también espero ver las actuaciones profesionales de cada uno de mis amigos (todos ustedes) en esta comunidad. Un saludo rápido a los pilares de esta prestigiosa comunidad @musiczone por lo bien que se han mantenido hasta ahora... están haciendo un trabajo increíble.
Para la presentación de hoy, les traeré un original mío que compuse hace unos años durante la pausa por el COVID. Se titula "TAN ALTO". Esta es la más corta de las canciones que he compuesto hasta ahora....con estrofa y estribillo.
Todos somos conscientes de cómo fueron las cosas durante el receso de COVID... Compuse esta canción en particular como un estímulo para mí y para todos los que me rodeaban de que todo lo que sucedió en ese momento fue solo una fase y pasaría... y de hecho, pasó, ¿no? Jajaja.
Más allá de la situación del continente en ese momento, utilizo la canción como un punto de contacto para muchos que están pasando por los momentos más difíciles y están haciendo todo lo posible para mantenerse fuertes y negarse a ser quebrantados por las circunstancias, les digo en esta canción para aguantar un poco más... es solo una fase y no tu destino final.
Sé con certeza que muy pronto, no tendríamos que poner sonrisas falsas para no reflejar lo que realmente está pasando porque nos negamos a ser víctimas de las circunstancias, nos pusimos de pie, luchamos y vencimos.
Espero que disfrutéis de esta pieza musical y que se pegue su esencia.

This is hive OPENMIC WEEK 169 and I remain your very own, my humble self @tobbysax and I am most delighted to be a part of the week's task even if I am coming in at a dying minute.
It feels so good to be around for this weeks task and a quick shout out to @jasperdick ,the spotlight artiste of the week for the prolific theme even if it is not a theme that has enough songs that can be related to it or I probably haven't heard enough lol.
In my own little way (as the love Doctor that I am😄) I'lld be presenting the old but evergreen green love song titled all of my by John legend. In the little way I can relate this song to the week's theme, love is a very big weapon to conquering the wars in our minds . I wouldn't be elaborating because I have a very limited time to publish this post 😄.

todos? Esta es la SEMANA 169 de Hive OPENMIC y sigo siendo suyo, mi humilde yo @tobbysax y estoy encantado de ser parte de la tarea de la semana, incluso si llego en el último minuto.
Se siente tan bien estar aquí para la tarea de esta semana y un agradecimiento rápido a @jasperdick, el artista destacado de la semana por el prolífico tema, incluso si no es un tema que tenga suficientes canciones que puedan relacionarse con él o probablemente yo no he oído lo suficiente jajaja.
A mi manera (como el Doctor amoroso que soy 😄) presentaré la vieja pero verde canción de amor titulada All of my de John Legend. En la pequeña forma en que puedo relacionar esta canción con el tema de la semana, el amor es un arma muy grande para conquistar las guerras en nuestras mentes. This is yet another splendid time in the AFRI-TUNES weekly edition , week 69 and it is with great delight that I am a part of this week's event. Today happens to be one of my exceptionally happiest days of the year.
The just concluded semester has been a hectic one and I really needed to cool off the stress with a change in environment immediately after my exams (although the semester hasn't ended for everyone due to their unfinished exams).
I travelled for a short visit to my uncle's hoat Ondo State and left for my residence in lagos the next day. I'm just really greatful to God for the success of the semester, for seeing me through, and for the journey mercies althrough my travel.
For the course, I'lld be presenting a few (2) spontaneous worship songs sang in the yoruba ethic cultural group's language....the first titled " Awa ni wipe eshe" which means " i/we have come to say thank you" and the second " Kari aye gbogbo" which means " his (God's) glory radiates the earth" .
For the first time in a while, I'll be making a voice cover for these songs and I hope you enjoy these musical piece and that you have a great time doing so.

Este es otro momento espléndido en la edición semanal de AFRI-TUNES, la semana 69 y es un gran placer que sea parte del evento de esta semana.
Hoy es uno de mis días excepcionalmente más felices del año. El semestre recién concluido ha sido agitado y realmente necesitaba calmar el estrés con un cambio de ambiente inmediatamente después de mis exámenes (aunque el semestre no ha terminado para todos debido a sus exámenes sin terminar).
Viajé para una breve visita al estado de Ondo hoat de mi tío y me fui a mi residencia en lagos al día siguiente. Estoy muy agradecida con Dios por el éxito del semestre, por ayudarme y por las misericordias del viaje a lo largo de mi viaje.
Para el curso, presentaré algunas (2) canciones de adoración espontáneas cantadas en el idioma del grupo cultural de ética yoruba... la primera titulada "Awa ni wipe eshe" que significa "yo/nosotros hemos venido a decir gracias". y el segundo "Kari aye gbogbo" que significa "su (la de Dios) gloria irradia la tierra".
Por primera vez en mucho tiempo, haré un cover de voz para estas canciones y espero que disfruten de esta pieza musical y que la pasen muy bien haciéndolo.

It is yet another great time in this prestigious community, community music zone's and its amazing and fun packed weekly events, week 37,round 1 and myself @tobbysax will be most delighted to be a part of this week's activities.
It's no denial that it has been quite a while i was present in this community and I must say that I have dearly missed all the wonderful weekly entries from my musically inclined friends and all great interpretations. Education isn't really taking it easy on me when it comes to time because I have just a very little amount of that for myself due to preparation for the end of semester examinations. @obaro can testify lol (we study at the same college).
Today ,I would be doing something very special and so I would love to tell all lovers regardless of your current state(either married or dating) to buckle up as I take you on a love journey. This doesn't leave out the singles too lol...you've got or will get that special someone too anytime soon😁.
I'll be presenting the song titled "PERFECT" by Ed sheeran, the globally known British love song composer and singer. "Perfect" was the first track he wrote for his third studio album written about his wife-to-be Cherry Seaborn, whom he knew from school and then reconnected with when she was working in New York.
I use my entry for this week as a medium for reconnection of broken friendship and relationships generally. I hope that every lost love be restored and that it lasts for as long as it takes. I'lld be making a cover with my saxophone and I hope you enjoy this musical piece and that it's essence be fulfilled.

Es otro gran momento en esta prestigiosa comunidad, la zona de música comunitaria y sus increíbles y divertidos eventos semanales, la semana 37, la ronda 1 y yo, @tobbysax, estaremos encantados de ser parte de las actividades de esta semana.
No se puede negar que ha pasado bastante tiempo en esta comunidad y debo decir que he extrañado mucho todas las maravillosas entradas semanales de mis amigos con inclinaciones musicales y todas las grandes interpretaciones. La educación realmente no me lo está tomando con calma cuando se trata de tiempo porque tengo muy poco de eso para mí debido a la preparación para los exámenes de fin de semestre. @obaro puede testificar jajaja (estudiamos en la misma universidad).
Hoy, estaría haciendo algo muy especial y me encantaría decirles a todos los amantes, independientemente de su estado actual (ya sea casados o saliendo), que se abrochen el cinturón mientras los llevo en un viaje de amor. Esto no deja de lado a los solteros jajaja... tienes o tendrás a esa persona especial también pronto😁.

It is yet another beautiful time in this respective community and it is with great joy that I welcome us all into this new week. Checking in on this community earlier today, I was amazed by the numbers of entries that has been made even at this early time of the week and that propelled me to make an early entry unlike before😄(i always was the latecomer).
Today, I chose to challenge myself attempting a song of musically inclined afro-pop artists. I will be doing the song "TRY ME" by the globally known Nigerian afropop artiste currently representing the pride of African music...TEMS. She is one of my favorite Nigerian afropop musicians and I sing her songs often but I literally take to my heels when it comes to playing a cover of it😄 because she is unlike every other musician I have ever come across.
She is very professional at inserting the contemporary music pattern into afropop( maybe because she's also an R&B musician ). Those riffs and infusion of minor notes into an afro-pop isn't really easy to imitate on the saxophone but I chose to face my fears 😄and attempt this song for my entry for this week.

Es otro momento hermoso en esta comunidad respectiva y con gran alegría les doy la bienvenida a todos a esta nueva semana. Al registrarme en esta comunidad más temprano hoy, me sorprendió la cantidad de entradas que se han realizado incluso en este momento temprano de la semana y eso me impulsó a hacer una entrada temprana a diferencia de antes 😄 (siempre llegué tarde).
Hoy, elegí desafiarme a mí mismo intentando una canción de artistas afro-pop con inclinaciones musicales. Haré la canción "TRY ME" del artista afropop nigeriano mundialmente conocido que actualmente representa el orgullo de la música africana...TEMS. Ella es una de mis músicas afropop nigerianas favoritas y canto sus canciones a menudo, pero literalmente me apresuro cuando se trata de tocar una versión de ellas 😄 porque es diferente a cualquier otro músico con el que me haya cruzado.
Es muy profesional insertando el patrón de la música contemporánea en el afropop (tal vez porque también es músico de R&B). Esos riffs y la infusión de notas menores en un pop afro no son realmente fáciles de imitar en el saxofón, pero elegí enfrentar mis miedos 😄 e intentar esta canción para mi entrada de esta semana.
Espero que encuentres esta pieza divertida y que la pases muy bien viéndola.

It is yet another beautiful time on the HIVE OPENMIC week event, the week 166 and I am most delighted to be a part of its activities. Its been a few weeks I've be present here but honestly, it does feel like a year.
A big thanks and shout out to the spotlight artiste of the week for a theme that carries such a message, "NEVER GIVE UP"....a sentence that can never be overemphasised.
I'lld only add to the tremendous contributions of knowledge from @ksam himself and everyone of us who has and will still participate in this week's task by saying this "many don't exceed their present state or are not able to achieve set goals ,not because they can't, but they undoubtedly succumb to the will of circumstances"....a discovery from one of my unfinished written projects that I thought to share.
Stand strong, don't be discouraged, do not back down and face it heads up with a concluded mindset of "RELENTLESS DETERMINATION ".

It is yet another splendid time of the AFRI-TUNES weekly events, week 66 and I am most delighted and privileged to be a part of it.
Using the phrase "its been quite a while" wouldn't be enough to describe how much I have missed the weekly presentations from my self and friends in this community and on the hive blockchain...it's been ages 😄. I hope I am able to cover up for all the days I have missed.
Today's presentation will be to bring back the old memories with the commonly sang yoruba song here in Nigeria titled "ISE OLUWA". Most of us must have heard the song from our parents, teachers in school (most especially music and yoruba😄), and the popular television station "NTA" while it was still in its prime.
It isn't a surprise that this particular song was one of the first sets of songs we were taught while we were still learning music .(instrumentalists especially😄)
This song glorifies the works of God and and its eternal durability i.e the work of God cannot be destroyed (in its literal interpretation.)
I hope this presentation brings back the old memories( because it's one of its essence),and that you enjoy this piece . Have a great time.

Es otro momento espléndido de los eventos semanales de AFRI-TUNES, la semana 66, y estoy encantado y privilegiado de ser parte de ella.
Usar la frase "ha pasado bastante tiempo" no sería suficiente para describir cuánto he extrañado las presentaciones semanales de mí y mis amigos en esta comunidad y en la cadena de bloques de Hive... han pasado años 😄. Espero poder cubrir todos los días que me he perdido.
La presentación de hoy será para traer de vuelta los viejos recuerdos con la canción yoruba comúnmente cantada aquí en Nigeria titulada "ISE OLUWA". La mayoría de nosotros debe haber escuchado la canción de nuestros padres, maestros en la escuela (especialmente música y yoruba😄) y la popular estación de televisión "NTA" cuando aún estaba en su mejor momento.
No es una sorpresa que esta canción en particular fuera uno de los primeros conjuntos de canciones que nos enseñaron cuando todavía estábamos aprendiendo música (especialmente los instrumentistas😄)
Esta canción glorifica las obras de Dios y su durabilidad eterna, es decir, la obra de Dios no puede ser destruida (en su interpretación literal).

Es tan hermoso cómo el tema presentado por el increíble artista destacado de la semana había estado en mi vista desde esta mañana. Desde la hermosa vista de las secuelas de la madrugada debido a la naturaleza, a los árboles y rocas y el toque adicional de los pájaros cantores.
Hoy, estaría haciendo la canción titulada LAS NOCHES de AVIICI. Prometí en mi última entrada que iba a presentar una canción original (que sigue en pie), pero pensé que si presentaba una canción original, debería acompañarla con al menos un teclado o una guitarra, por lo que no podía cantar una. original para mi entrada de esta semana. This is another wonderful week of the HIVE MUSIC FESTIVAL, week 30 , round 3 and i am most delighted to be a part of this prestigious community and its events. It feels great to finally be back after a while .
Before I proceed ,I would love to appreciate everyone who had taken out of their precious time to wish and gift me on my birthday....it really meant alot to me and I do not take this generous act for granted. I was amazed by the massive love I got from this big family of mine on the hive platform generally and that really did make me feel special. Thank you all once again.
Today, I'm going to be presenting a popularly known song titled "stay with me by the phenomenal English musician and singer , Sam Smith. He is a British soul singer with a mellifluous voice who was noted for lyrics that subverted the notions of romantic love that defined popular soul music. This song has deeper interpretations based on how well one can relate to the his situation that he clearly depicted in his lyrics.
His controversial state couldn't make him aware if he was in love or just needed someone by his side( from my simple view of it's lyrics).
I would be playing a cover with my saxophone. Conclusively, I would love to put out this "very simple" ,yet tasking challenge to all my other saxophonist friends 🎷. If you observed, you'd realise that I maintained the lower octave (note) althrough the song with might seem simple but requires more breath and momentum .
Try playing on the lower octave althrough a particular song and maintain the songs melody....it helps to build our breath and durability when sustaining our notes.
This is a tip that has helped my breath building and control and I thought to share with you all. I hope you (saxophonists) pick up this challenge and that you find this helpful.

Esta es otra maravillosa semana del HIVE MUSIC FESTIVAL, la semana 30, ronda 3 y estoy encantado de ser parte de esta prestigiosa comunidad y sus eventos. Se siente genial finalmente estar de vuelta después de un tiempo.
Antes de continuar, me encantaría agradecer a todos los que dedicaron su precioso tiempo a desearme y regalarme en mi cumpleaños... realmente significó mucho para mí y no doy por sentado este generoso acto. Me sorprendió el enorme amor que recibí de esta gran familia mía en la plataforma de la colmena en general y eso realmente me hizo sentir especial. Gracias a todos de nuevo.
Hoy voy a presentar una canción popularmente conocida titulada "Stay with me" del fenomenal músico y cantante inglés Sam Smith. Es un cantante de soul británico con una voz meliflua que se destacó por letras que subvirtieron las nociones de romanticismo. amor que definió la música soul popular. Esta canción tiene interpretaciones más profundas basadas en qué tan bien uno puede relacionarse con su situación que claramente describió en sus letras.
Su estado controvertido no podía hacerle saber si estaba enamorado o simplemente necesitaba a alguien a su lado (desde mi simple vista de la letra).
Estaría tocando una versión con mi saxofón. En conclusión, me encantaría lanzar este desafío "muy simple" pero exigente para todos mis otros amigos saxofonistas 🎷. Si observas, te darás cuenta de que mantuve la octava más baja (nota) a lo largo de la canción que puede parecer simple pero requiere más aliento e impulso.
Intente tocar en la octava más baja a lo largo de una canción en particular y mantenga la melodía de la canción... ayuda a desarrollar nuestra respiración y durabilidad al sostener nuestras notas.
Este es un consejo que me ha ayudado a desarrollar y controlar mi respiración y pensé en compartirlo con todos ustedes. Espero que ustedes (saxofonistas) acepten este desafío y que lo encuentren útil.

This is yet another splendid and special week of the HIVE OPENMIC MIC WEEKLY EVENTS....WEEK 159TH EDITION...and I am glad to be a part of it. A big thanks and shout out to the spotlight artiste of the week for this impact- packed theme ....the person of @jesus-son. He brought to us a very useful choice of theme especially in such a time as this..."A GOOD FRIEND" .
His emphasised in his interpretation that only God can be and is the only friend that indeed possesses the qualities of the word "a good friend" without doubt .
Beyond him being our lord and father , he opened up a privilege portal for all that we may be beyond just his creations, that we may have an intimate relationship with him (friendship). For instance, You might tell your deepest secrets to your friends and end up hearing it from a third party.
The qualities of a good friend are reliability, dependability, accountability, love, care, trust,forgiveness, loyalty ,tolerance and many more. Now, not all these qualities can be found in our friends but are surely found in God.

It is yet another great time in the music community and I am so happy to be participate in its activities and appreciate other great content from amazing authors.
It's been a minute (a while) and I must say I have missed the alot most especially the new initiative raised to encourage musicians and musicologists with a quality contents which was won by @onos-f . I congratulate you once again brother....you did a great piece of work on that entry and It was enjoyable.
In my last presentation on community @musiczone ,I spoke about my temporary absence from my home of residence. I was invited as a guest artiste to play the saxophone at a church anniversary celebration. It was indeed a joyous event. I tried speaking yoruba but at some point I had to switch back to my default language(English)lol😄.
Today , I played the popularly recognised pattern of worship in the common day church called "the highpraise" but this time, in the yoruba ethnic group's style of music popularly known as "Fuji". I was accompanied by the keyboard, the electric drums, and the talking drums also known as the "gangan" which made it an even more enjoyable presentation.
The FUJI pattern of music is not one that I am really familiar with but I had to give it a shot because i noticed after some few moments of observation that it was the most used style of music in that church.
I was sprayed some naira notes which I refused to collect because I believe the work of God should be rewarded by God and not by men.
I played some songs they were familiar with and the presentation lasted for 10 minutes. The first few minutes seemed new to me but with time, I blended in.

Es otro gran momento en la comunidad musical y estoy muy feliz de participar en sus actividades y apreciar otro gran contenido de autores increíbles.
Ha pasado un minuto (un tiempo) y debo decir que he echado mucho de menos, especialmente la nueva iniciativa planteada para animar a los músicos y musicólogos con contenidos de calidad que ganó @onos-f. Te felicito una vez más hermano... hiciste un gran trabajo en esa entrada y fue agradable.
En mi última presentación en la comunidad @musiczone, hablé sobre mi ausencia temporal de mi hogar de residencia. Fui invitado como artista invitado a tocar el saxofón en la celebración del aniversario de una iglesia. De hecho, fue un evento gozoso.
Hoy, toqué el patrón de adoración popularmente reconocido en la iglesia del día común llamado "la alabanza", pero esta vez, en el estilo de música del grupo étnico yoruba conocido popularmente como "Fuji". Me acompañó el teclado, la batería eléctrica y los tambores parlantes también conocidos como "gangan" lo que hizo que la presentación fuera aún más amena.
El patrón de música FUJI no es uno con el que esté muy familiarizado, pero tuve que darle una oportunidad porque me di cuenta después de algunos momentos de observación que era el estilo de música más usado en esa iglesia.
Me rociaron algunos billetes de naira que me negué a recoger porque creo que la obra de Dios debe ser recompensada por Dios y no por los hombres.
Puse algunas canciones con las que estaban familiarizados y la presentación duró 10 minutos. Los primeros minutos me parecieron nuevos, pero con el tiempo me mezclé.

It is yet another wonderful week of the community music zone's weekly spectacular edition of the hive music festival i.e week 27 round 3 and I remain your very own, my humble self @tobbysax.
I must say that it has been quite a while here in this respective community and i consider this a privilege and honour to participate in this week's edition of the HMF.
Today, I will be presenting something a little "sugary" lol. Its titled WATERMELON SUGAR by the English singer Harry Styles from his second studio album Fine Line (2019), included as the album's second track. Styles wrote the song with Mitch Rowland and the song's producers, Tyler Johnson and Kid Harpoon.
Harry Edward Styles (born 1 February 1994) is an English singer and songwriter. His musical career began in 2010 as a solo contestant on the British music competition series The X Factor. Following his elimination, he was brought back to join the boy band One Direction. It became one of the best-selling boy groups of all time before going on an indefinite hiatus in 2016.
Originally released as a promotional single from Fine Line on 16 November 2019, "Watermelon Sugar" was later released as the album's fourth single on 15 May 2020. The song was generally well received by music critics.
The single also performed well commercially, peaking within the top ten in more than 20 countries, including the United Kingdom, Australia, Canada, and the United States, where it became Styles' first number-one single on the Billboard Hot 100 chart.It won the 2021 Grammy Award for Best Pop Solo Performance, and also won Song of the Year at the 41st Brit Awards the same year.

I'lld be presenting a song titled, "JOYFUL, JOYFUL WE ADORE THEE"....a popularly recognised hymn song . It is usually misinterpreted or categorised under the list of songs only to be sung during the Christmas season. Earlier today, this topic popped up while having a conversation with a friend on if or not this song is a Christmas song which came about me making it a choice of song for my entry this week.

Esta es la SEMANA 158 de HIVE OPENMIC y sigo siendo tu propio @tobbysax. Es un privilegio y un placer participar en la tarea de esta semana. Tengo que felicitar la hermosa elección del tema por parte de nuestro amable artista destacado de la semana @karlex77 por ceear tal plataforma para relaciones profundas.
Estaré presentando una canción titulada, "ALEGRÍA, ALEGRÍA TE ADORAMOS"... una canción de himno popularmente reconocida. This is yet another splendid time in this respective community, community music and i am delighted to be a part of this week's event. The weather here hasn't been so friendly and had impact on my health but I was fortunate to cope through the intensity of the weather.
Today....without much words , I would be presenting a very simple but logical piece. The song is titled "AMAZING GRACE " ...a popularly recognised hymn song. I'll be making some little changes as regards the genre. I would be presenting the song on a blues pattern as I'll be playing my saxophone for my entry. Este es otro momento espléndido en esta comunidad respectiva, música comunitaria y estoy encantado de ser parte del evento de esta semana. El clima aquí no ha sido tan amigable y ha tenido un impacto en mi salud, pero tuve la suerte de sobrellevar la intensidad del clima.

This is hive OPENMIC WEEK 157 and I remain your very own ,my humble self @tobbysax. It may seem like I say this often enough (especially when I am absent from the hive communities in general)but I think this should be the most sincere of them all because it's been a week since I took part in hive community edition of events.
I am really delighted to be a partaker of this week's events. It has been a tough ride through the previous week with my health but I'm greatful to God for preservation and protection and to friends and loved ones that reached out.
I had decided that I was going to partake in the hive open mic events for this week regardless of the weather condition although the noise from the pounding rainfall featured in my song uninvited lol. As much as I got frustrated by the interruption, I had to make the video knowing fully well that I might not get such chance again(time)....but still...sometimes, the phrase " the most sense is made out of nonsense " can be applied to this scenario i think lol.
The theme for thr week is 'THE GOD WE WORSHIP ' and i will be doing a song by that portrays the theme and also relates to the just concluded easter celebration titled MY LIVING HOPE by Phil Wickham . Esta es la SEMANA 157 de Hive OPENMIC y sigo siendo tuyo, mi humilde yo @tobbysax. Puede parecer que digo esto con bastante frecuencia (especialmente cuando estoy ausente de las comunidades de colmena en general), pero creo que este debería ser el más sincero de todos porque ha pasado una semana desde que participé en la edición de eventos de la comunidad de colmena.
Estoy realmente encantado de participar en los eventos de esta semana. Ha sido un viaje difícil durante la semana anterior con mi salud, pero estoy agradecido con Dios por la preservación y protección y con los amigos y seres queridos que se acercaron.
Había decidido que iba a participar en los eventos de micrófono abierto de la colmena para esta semana, independientemente de las condiciones climáticas, aunque el ruido de la lluvia torrencial apareció en mi canción sin invitación jajaja.Por mucho que me frustré por la interrupción, tenía que hacer el video sabiendo muy bien que tal vez no volvería a tener esa oportunidad (tiempo)... pero aún así... a veces, la frase "tiene más sentido" de tonterías " se puede aplicar a este escenario creo jajaja.
El tema de la tercera semana es 'EL DIOS QUE ADORAMOS' y haré una canción que represente el tema y también se relacione con la celebración de Pascua recién concluida titulada MI ESPERANZA VIVIENTE de Phil Wickham. Espero que disfruten mi entrada de esta semana, ya que estaré cantando una versión acapella y espero que la pasen muy bien haciéndolo.

How are we all doing?
It is yet another splendid week i.e the week 61 of PUKUMUNDO'S LAVOZ CANTANTE weekly edition and I am glad to be a part of it. I must say that it has been quite a while in this prestigious community because I didn't participate in the previous week edition. I greet everyone once again and commend us for our hardwork that reflects in our weekly entries.
Today I will be presenting a song titled "HALLELUYAH"by the upcoming South african artists ..."THE JOY". this talented young men started their music career as acapella artists before coming into limelight and are acapella artists even up until now (more like the african Pentatonix ...lol ).
I made it a choice of song because i love how they are being unique with every line of their songs and how they have gained recognition with their signature melody (musically).
I'll be singing and adding a few parts to make it a little more melodious. I modified the songs pace to a rock music's pace so we can as well call my cover a rock cover.

Es otra semana espléndida, la semana 61 de la edición semanal de LAVOZ CANTANTE DE PUKUMUNDO y estoy feliz de ser parte de ella. Debo decir que llevo bastante tiempo en esta prestigiosa comunidad porque no participé en la edición de la semana anterior. Saludo a todos una vez más y los felicito por nuestro arduo trabajo que se refleja en nuestras entradas semanales.
Hoy presentaré una canción titulada "HALLELUYAH" de los próximos artistas sudafricanos ..."THE JOY". estos talentosos jóvenes comenzaron su carrera musical como artistas acapella antes de convertirse en el centro de atención y son artistas acapella incluso hasta ahora (más como el Pentatonix africano... lol).
La elegí como canción porque me encanta cómo son únicos con cada línea de sus canciones y cómo han ganado reconocimiento con su melodía característica (musicalmente).
Estaré cantando y agregando algunas partes para hacerlo un poco más melodioso. Modifiqué el ritmo de las canciones al ritmo de la música rock para que también podamos llamar a mi versión una versión de rock. Without lengthy words, I'lld be presenting the song titled "ROLLERCOASTER" by Burna boy featuring J- balvin. Massively talented Nigerian performer and guitarist, Burna Boy breaks the recording industry with the spectacular hit song “Rollercoaster.”

This is yet another beautiful moment on the beautiful HIVE OPENMIC WEEK 154 and it is with gladness that I am able to partake in this week's event. I must say that this week is and has been quite different from the previous ones due to the Theme chosen i.e "MUSICAL COMEDY " by our recent spotlight artiste @nancybmp .it actually did a good job exposing or rather revealing the other shades(creative and funny) sides of many people.
In relation to the weeks theme , I chose to present a song titled "KULOSA" by the OXLADE. Ku Lo Sa is a cool, calm and collected tune from the prolific and talented Nigerian songster, Oxlade, his delivery and vocals on this soundtrack are so eloquent and very on point.
I made it a choice because of some funny lines of the lyrics and how the initial title "CLOSER" was trafitionally syllabicated to become the word " KU LO SA".

Como están???
Este es otro hermoso momento en la hermosa HIVE OPENMIC WEEK 154 y es un placer poder participar en el evento de esta semana. Debo decir que esta semana es y ha sido bastante diferente a las anteriores debido al tema elegido, es decir, "COMEDIA MUSICAL" por nuestra reciente artista destacada @nancybmp. De hecho, hizo un buen trabajo al exponer o más bien revelar los otros matices (creativo y gracioso) lados de muchas personas.
En relación al tema de las semanas, opté por presentar una canción titulada "KULOSA" de la OXLADE. Ku Lo Sa es una melodía fresca, tranquila y serena del prolífico y talentoso cantante nigeriano, Oxlade, su entrega y voz en esta banda sonora son muy elocuentes y muy acertadas.
Lo elegí debido a algunas líneas divertidas de la letra y cómo el título inicial "CLOSER" se silabó tradicionalmente para convertirse en la palabra "KU LO SA".

How are you all doing???
It is yet another amazing week i.e the pukumundo's LAVOZ CANTANTE- week 59 and with great joy, I partake in this week's activities. I must also say the reason behind my happiness everytime i make a rendition in this community.
Asides the fact that this great community is known for harbouring ,nurturing and helping good and quality rock and metal music grow around the globe, I just find this joy every moment I am chanced to to make a rendition in the pukumundo community (I think the joy comes from being chanced because usually, I'm not always chanced) 😄.
Recently , I have been registered into a computer literacy programme which has automatically snatched a couple of hours of my time . It's just so great how most of the hours of every day are just fixed up and how I've been coping so far.
To the day's business, I would be presenting a gospel rock song titled "OUR GOD" by CHRIS TOMLIN. I don't know why I haven't come across any other rock song outside the gospel pattern but I guess it just makes it a little more interesting 😄😁. This song simply portrays the extent of God's supremacy over the earth and all in it.

Además del hecho de que esta gran comunidad es conocida por albergar, nutrir y ayudar a que la música rock y metal de buena calidad crezca en todo el mundo, encuentro esta alegría cada vez que tengo la oportunidad de hacer una interpretación en la comunidad de pukumundo (creo que el la alegría proviene de tener oportunidades porque, por lo general, no siempre tengo oportunidades) 😄.
Recientemente, me registraron en un programa de alfabetización informática que automáticamente me arrebató un par de horas de mi tiempo. Es genial cómo la mayoría de las horas de cada día están arregladas y cómo lo he estado enfrentando hasta ahora.
Para el negocio del día, estaría presentando una canción de rock góspel titulada "OUR GOD" de CHRIS TOMLIN. No sé por qué no he encontrado ninguna otra canción de rock fuera del patrón del evangelio, pero supongo que lo hace un poco más interesante 😄😁. This is HIVE MUSIC FESTIVAL week 22 ,round 1. Speaking of how we've been,I personally have been doing really great today. I've not been settled in my place of residence for a while. When I eventually did, I remembered that I have not participated in this week's task...I hurriedly put something together (musically)and made an entry. The process was really tasking but the funny events that takes place when one is in haste just made it even more interesting.

This is yet another wonderful week ....AFRI-TUNES WEEK 53 and my self, your very own @tobbysax and I must say that it is my utmost delight to participate in this week's activities. I would love to give a shout out and an enormous appreciation to the afritunes community and its honorable executives for their endless efforts for the endless advancement of this respective community .
I would also like to say a big thank you as an individual and collectively to the afritunes community for the recent rank elevation of participants in the afri-versary events....I wouldn't have been more honoured and encouraged....thank you once again.
Today , ill be coming in with my most recently chosen genre (Afromusic) and its titled MONALISA by another great afro pop musician , LOJAY. the new set of afropop musicians and their songs just keeps making me love it the more just as it makes me understand its diversities and depth.
Overtime, i understood that the afro-pop or "afromusic" are into numerous segments...I.e the Afrobeats, afrotraps, makossa, palm-wine music ,afro fusion......e.t.c. Today I'lld be presenting a very beautiful love song titled "SURRENDER" sung by NATALIE TAYLOR. It just expresses willingness to love again even with the uncertainty that he or she (the loved) would come back or actually still loves her.
I made it my choice of song weirdly because I was listening to it in the middle of the night. I got so interested that I also had to create this content in the model of the night so pardon my voice if it isn't audible enough... I didn't just want to bother my neighbours lol.

This is HIVE MUSIC FESTIVAL WEEK 21 , ROUND 3 and I am and still remain your very own...@tobbysax. This is my first entry in this community so i might as well refer to myself as the "newcomer"😄 although I had the knowledge of the community music zone before now .
I got attracted to this community by authentic musical contents from talented individuals and I must say that it feels good to finally be a part of this brilliant community and I count it a privilege....I hope I am welcomed 😌.

I welcome us into another new week which is HIVE OPENMIC WEEK 152 and I remain you very own @tobbysax. This week's them is "traditional music" and I am very much delight to be a part of this week's activities.
It has indeed been quite a while and It would be "not so good" of me if I skip saying how much I've missed this community. I've missed the detail filled and challenging contents from my talented friends, the weekly theme and relatable renditions to them and most especially the corrections from my predecessor and very good friend musicandreview....I know it is to see me get better.
Recently, education has been demanding my attention and time which had be the reason for my unavailability these past few days but I eventually figured out a way to balance the equation (time)lol.
Today, I would be presenting a song of a Nigerian afropop artiste VICTONY FT TEMPO titled "SOWETO". Asides the unique wave and pace of its rhythm, it portrays a mixture of a cultural and modern musical concept which I find really creative. It was a combination of the African afromusic and a slight mix of the South african invented "AMAPIANO" music which projects the african culture in grand style lol.

Puku greetings everyone...I once again welcome you all into another wonderful week i.e LAVOZ CANTANTE WEEK 57. Before i proceed to the dealings of the day, I must emphasize on how much I have missed this community because it has been quite a while and I am so elated to finally participate in this week's task.
I have missed the communicative engagements in the comment sections, the beautiful and lovely renditions from my talented friends here,and the endless encouragement, love and guidance most especially from my mentor and very good friend ...Nahu puku.
Academics has been demanding the most of my time lately which has been the reason for my temporally unavailability ...and although it is a very challenging one, I figured out a way to balance it up (time). It is good to be here once again.
Today, I will be presenting a spontaneous gospel rock song titled "EMMANUEL". I do not really know much about its composer but I know very well that It is a song my uncle always sung to me when I was very young . I made it my choice of song because it came to mind at that moment.
This song talks about the strength, power and authority that God has given unto mankind through his son Jesus over darkness and death and the mandate of sonship to preach the gospel to the poor in heart.

It is is yet another great week here and it is such it is with an utmost gladness to be a part of its activities. It has indeed been quite a while in this community and on this platform generally. There has been increasingly additional responsibilities educationally that required urgent attention and focus.
I would love to wish the Afri-tunes community both individually and collectively a happy 1st year anniversary as I greatly pray ,hope and look forward to celebrations such as this in progress, elevations, success and greater achievements. I'lld also love to congratulate and celebrate the amiable administrators and moderators of this great community for a job well done ...so far. This celebration is proof of your relentless efforts.
Keep alive the afri-versary spirit,I'lld be presenting an afrobeat music of the globally known Nigerian afropop musician given the appellation "African giant" ...Burnaboy title "LASLAS". I love how much of Africa he inserts into all his songs and its melodic flows Although I do not totally support the theory behind the composition of this song in particular. In it, he portrayed long lasting love to be sham and pseudo.
One of the lines of his songs says "na everybody go chop breakfast". all sang in "pidgin english", it means everyone in love will eventually be heartbroken and this opinion i object. I believe that there is actual, genuine and never fading love in friendships or relationships and I hope those with similar opinion comes across one that will transform how they see love.

En él, retrató el amor duradero como una farsa y un pseudo.
Una de las líneas de sus canciones dice "na todos vayan a cortar el desayuno". todo cantado en "inglés pidgin", significa que todos los enamorados eventualmente tendrán el corazón roto y esta opinión me opongo. Creo que hay amor real, genuino y que nunca se desvanece en las amistades o relaciones y espero que aquellos con una opinión similar encuentren uno que transforme la forma en que ven el amor.

Sometimes, I just wish entries could be more than one in a week but "I wish" 😄.
Today, I will be bring to us a song of the talented singer and song writer from the United Kingdom, Lewis capaldi titled "BRUISES". This were ans is still one of his best songs so far . I made it my choice of song because I haven't tried any of his songs before. I've always labelled his songs to be "complex" for quite a while now but I decided to give it a try...it might not come out as I thought it would(due to the state of my voice,please recommendation to cure a soar throat are highly welcomed),but it was totally worth the shot.

I welcome us into this new week (LAVOS CANTANTE WEEK 55) and the fabulous tasks it entails and I must say that It is of great happiness on my path to participate in it. before I proceed to the deal of the day, I hope we are having a good day? for me, my day has been a blast so far and that is because I was chanced to make a content in the pukumundo community today. I didn't have a clue on when would get the chance but as soon as I did, I happily utilised it... lol.
Today, illd be presenting one of my favourite songs from one of my favourite artistes titled "LOVELY" by Billie Eilish featuring khalid. Naturally, I would love any song or singer that composes or sings her genre or pattern of music(although some refers to it as "sad songs " due to the pace of it). You might have as well come across such songs in my posts with different singers. please know that I'm not saying a particular genre of music is the best because every aspiring musician or singer who wants to be professional at making music should listen to all kinds of music. This is yet another nice time and my second appearance on HIVE OPENMIC WEEK 149 and it is very much of a privilege to be a part of it. Really quick,I'll love to share what I learnt from today's experience. I'll love us all to know that if roses and sunflowers could speak, they would've explained how slow and painful the process of blooming could be(but they can't...lol).
The process of making and finding purpose entails slow,discouraging and extremely painful experiences but how we react in such times determines how fast ,strong and well we flourish. Are you going to see this moments as the ones that mould you and be open to learn from your experiences or just sit there and be a victim of circumstances???
These are my words of encouragement to whomever the lucky person my mind releases it to. back to the business of the day, today I'll be bringing it down to Africa as I'll be presenting the recent song of the Nigerian afro pop singer, "Burnaboy" titled "ALONE ". The beauty and unique qualities of that song attracted the film industry to use it as the background music for the movie "BLACK PANTHER- WAKANDA FOREVER ".

Muy rápido, me encantaría compartir lo que aprendí de la experiencia de hoy. Me encantaría que todos supiéramos que si las rosas y los girasoles pudieran hablar, nos habrían explicado lo lento y doloroso que puede ser el proceso de floración (pero no pueden... jejeje).
El proceso de hacer y encontrar un propósito implica experiencias lentas, desalentadoras y extremadamente dolorosas, pero la forma en que reaccionamos en esos momentos determina qué tan rápido, fuerte y bien prosperamos. ¿Vas a ver estos momentos como los que te moldean y estarás abierto a aprender de tus experiencias o simplemente te sentarás y serás víctima de las circunstancias?
Estas son mis palabras de aliento para quienquiera que sea la persona afortunada a la que mi mente se las dirija. Volviendo al tema del día, hoy lo traeré a África, ya que presentaré la canción reciente del cantante pop afro nigeriano, "Burnaboy", titulada "ALONE". It is yet another beautiful moment of the 50th week on the Afri-tunes community and my humble self @tobbysax is and will be very delighted to be a part of it. I hope we all had a great previous week because I did even if I had my own share of "ups and downs ".
Today I'm going to be presenting a freestyle of tonic sofas i coined and named the "AFREESTYLE" i.e the combination of AFRO and FREESTYLE. It was quite an hasty piece of work so it ended up a little rusty. I would have made it properly and discarded this one but I had learnt from my last post not to look down on any contents because it might just be the one the people appreciates the most.

How have we all been?
It is yet another week in this lovely community and I must say that I am very mucn elated to take part in this week task. Before I proceed, I want to make a big shout out to the honorable moderators and administrators of this community for sustaining and retaining its essence i.e to promote music.
Today, i would be presenting the song of the international music idol and the one of the mothers of the soulful genre of music(blues),Celiene Dion titled "My heart will go on". There was no actual reason for my choice of song because it was spontaneous.
It's been quite a while i played the saxophone so I'lld be playing the song with my sax and I'm really happy about it. I haven't been in the right state of health to play for sometime now which is the reason why I haven't been presenting with it. I just made sure I was loyal to my commitment to make atleast a video per week even if it meant making the video without my sax....but I am better now 😊.

Hoy, estaría presentando la canción del ídolo de la música internacional y la de las madres del género de la música conmovedora (blues),Celiene Dion titulada "My heart will go on". No hubo una razón real para mi elección de la canción porque fue espontánea.
Ha pasado bastante tiempo que toco el saxofón, así que tocaré la canción con mi saxofón y estoy muy feliz por eso. No he estado en el estado de salud adecuado para jugar desde hace algún tiempo, razón por la cual no lo he estado presentando. Solo me aseguré de ser leal a mi compromiso de hacer al menos un video por semana, incluso si eso significaba hacerlo sin mi saxo... pero ahora estoy mejor 😊.

I listened to the song some few days ago and it took me travelling deep in thoughts. The song repeatedly laid emphasis on the fact that life is worth living no matter what might have come our way that makes or has made us believe otherwise.

Sometimes, I wish happiness could be a permanent or constantly reoccurrent event. It just happens that you can't do without the bad days. It's unrelated to the song I'll be presenting....just thought to share how happy I was earlier today.
I'll be doing the song of the famous nigerian afro-pop singer , ASAKE titled "ORGANIZE ". it is a widely recognised by its unique pattern of rhythm and "vibe". It was a random choice of song just to test myself and see how I would flow. It is a little rusty but it was worth the attempt.

How have you all been?
It has been quite a while in this community. Its just one thing I love which challenges me everytime on this platform is how people never stop creating. It encourages me everytime i'm down .
Today ,I will be doing a cover of one of my favorite songs ,by my favourite female artiste of all time "Billie ellish". The song is titled,"when the party's over". That song is one beautiful piece with soothing waving melodies. It helps me keep calm and maintain proper reflection (to meditate).
I was going to sing it but I could not due to the state of my voice. It got cracked recently probably as a result of stress. Just recovering partly after some vocal treatments. So I will be using the saxophone.
I chose it just because of my love for it and because i wanted to share with you all.

His unquestionable ability to look down on us in his infinite mercy and choose to glorify our lines despite our unfaithfulness, nonchalance and ignorance of the innumerable goods he has greatly bless us with.
For this course, I will be presenting the song, "RAISE ME UP " by JOSH GROBAN, a gospel artiste. I chose this song because of its relation to the theme in its peculiarity. The song is a prayer of plea and a declaration that we be glorified by the father.
In accordance to the first few lines of the chorus that says "you raise me up,so I can stand on mountains,you raise me up to walk on stormy seas ,I am strong when I am on your shoulders............". This lines are prayers that we be raised unto glorification of our Lord (jesus) which automatically uplifts us unto greater heights far above our comprehension. This is AFRI-TUNES WEEK 45 ...and I remain non but my humble self ,@tobbysax. It is yet another new week and such a privilege to be a part of this week's "challenge" as I'll rather call it and much more a delight to participate in it.
Today , I'm going to be giving us some danceable afrobeat genre. It crossed my mind to talk about it but I didn't remember up until now . I was listening to some couple of songs....and then ,the song "XTRA COOL " played. I approached my phone to change it and as I was about to ,I heard the chorus and it held me back until I repeatedly heard it 4 times over...lol.
I have learnt not to judge the entire song just by a few tunes or few lines of its beginning which I have been doing up until recently. Once again, I'll be presenting a freestyle cover of the afro-pop song," XTRA COOL " BY the very vibrant music producer singer and song writer ,"YOUNG JOHN ". I'll strongly prescribe the use of headphones for a detailed piece. I hope you'll enjoy and most importantly vibe to the tunes of this musical piece.

This is hive music festival week 13 round 1. Before I proceed, I hope we all had a great day?...because I did😁😊.
I am so glad I could participate in this week's challenge. Today, I thought to do something I haven't done here in a while.....and guess what? I observed some improvement in my singing after taking to some very useful and effective tips given to me by my friend @eugelys . a big thanks to her on that😉.... being my voice coach wouldn't be a bad idea after all😄😊💯.
So today I will be doing a song of my most recent favourite artiste ,"Benson boone "...and it is titled **in the stars. This would the second of his song I'll be presenting on the hive platform generally. his genre and style of music is one that happens to match my musical taste and expectations which has been the reason behind my aggravated love and interest in himself and his songs.
After numerous research, I learnt that he sang the song in tribute and remembrance of someone dearest to himself. This might be the reason why some said he composes and sings "sad songs".
I will be doing something similar today. I am dedicating this presentation to that person or those people who were so dear to our hearts that we've lost along the way.
I remember them in this moment and pray that the lord (God) preserve their souls🙏.

Su género y estilo de música coincide con mi gusto musical y mis expectativas, lo que ha sido la razón detrás de mi amor e interés agravado por él y sus canciones.
Después de numerosas investigaciones, supe que cantó la canción en homenaje y recuerdo de alguien muy querido por él. Esta podría ser la razón por la que algunos dicen que compone y canta "canciones tristes".

How have we all been? ...This is LA VOZ CANTANTE WEEK 49. Before I proceed, I must say that it has been quite a while and that I have missed here alot.
Recently, I haven't really been "present" due to the matters that need maximum attention but even in this, I still find sometime for that which I love (music).
I will be presenting something though simple but very different. I was seeing a movie earlier today and I know its one most of us might have come across.....it is titled "MONEY HEIST". This movie was where I got my choice of song today. It kept ringing in my head even hours after seeing it. So I decided to do something on it.
The song is titled "BELLA CIAO " by Diego moreno and this time around, I chose to use the recorder ....yes!...I play the recorder too even though I didn't disclose due to the fact that I count it to be a minor instrument.
The hive communities has proven my perception to be incorrect. I have learnt that you can make the greatest impact musically with the so called "least valued " instrument here on this platform and I have decided to actualize this knowledge.

Recientemente, no he estado realmente "presente" debido a los asuntos que necesitan la máxima atención, pero incluso en esto, todavía encuentro algo de tiempo para lo que amo (la música).
Estaré presentando algo aunque simple pero muy diferente. Hoy estaba viendo una película y sé que es una que la mayoría de nosotros podríamos haber encontrado... se titula "ROBO DE DINERO". Esta película fue donde obtuve mi elección de canción hoy.
Seguía sonando en mi cabeza incluso horas después de verlo. Así que decidí hacer algo al respecto.
La cancion se titula "BELLA CIAO" de Diego moreno y esta vez opte por usar la flauta dulce....si!...toco la flauta dulce tambien aunque no lo divulgue por el hecho de que cuento ser un instrumento menor.
Las comunidades colmena han demostrado que mi percepción es incorrecta. He aprendido que puedes tener el mayor impacto musical con el llamado instrumento "menos valorado" aquí en esta plataforma y he decidido actualizar este conocimiento. Mientras tanto, espero que disfruten de esta pieza.

I remain your very own...tobbysax .I am so excited I didn't miss out participating in this week's theme ,"VOICE OF HOPE" choosen by the spotlight artist of the week ,our brother and friend @magicfingers. My schools academic calendar for this session is coming to a close so we are approaching our exams. It has been quite a task trying to make out time to create contents and prepare for the forthcoming exams....but as I have learnt from my friend and "hive coach"(as I call him inwardly) @obaro, is that discipline and consistency are success magnets. It draws one closer to success and vice versa.

This is lavos cantante ....week 47. Before i proceed, I hope you all had a great Christmas celebration?...because I did. The peculiarity of this particular season of the year has been dominant on my choices of songs. I and @obaro experienced one of the greatest moments today and we thought to extend to our families here too.
I chose the song "hallelujah- by pentatonix", because I felt it was clearly expressing the joy in liberty,freedom and peace. We have all had our shares of the awful moments of our lives before now. but by the privilege of preservation by our creator (Jesus christ our lord), we all are on our feet to give testimonies of our victories and express gratitude to God and to whom due.

This is hive open mic week 141. Its my first video performance and I decided to spread and share the spirit of the season(Christmas) which was the reason for my choice of song ,"Christmas to me" by the pentatonix.
I felt the song might help connect families and friends and help spread a massive wave of love.
It's a season to spread and love and to be loved.I strongly hope that it gets across to anyone who feels despondent in anyway.
