I give my viewpoints about things people do not necessarily talk about. I document my journey of correction, acknowledgement and growth in the hope to get better at this life thing every day.
Some truths heal. Some truths harm. And some truths? They could've stayed in your drafts.
Today we're talking about the difference between honesty and wisdom, why "I'm just being honest" isn't always the flex people think it is, and how emotional maturity sometimes sounds a lot like silence.
Not every thought deserves a voice. Not every opinion needs an audience. And not every truth needs a microphone.
What if rejection isn't proof that you're not enough?
In this episode, we explore why you can never be enough for someone who never wanted you in the first place—and why that says more about compatibility than it does about your worth.
And that's a correction worth making.
Today we're talking about anxiety, overthinking, emotional exhaustion, and why Psalm 23 feels completely different when you read it as someone who's trying to hold everything together.
I stepped into Esther's mind… and I had QUESTIONS What does it look like to be placed in a situation you didn't choose… but still have a purpose in it? Let's talk about pressure, positioning, and showing up anyway.
Jacob played the game… and then got played. Let's talk about patterns, accountability, and what happens when life humbles you.
What happens when you're chosen, loved, and still not at peace? Let's talk about comparison, pressure, and why having everything doesn't always feel like enough.
What does it do to you to be chosen… but not truly loved? Let's talk about comparison, self-worth, and learning to stop chasing validation.
Hosea stayed… but would you? Let's talk about love, betrayal, and the difference between God's instruction and your own attachment.
Today we're stepping into Sarah's mind… and whew 😭 What happens when God gives you a promise, but the waiting gets uncomfortable? Let's talk about control, impatience, and the "buoy" we grab when we stop trusting.
Sometimes the hardest relationships to let go of aren't the toxic ones… they're the ones where the person is actually a good person.
In this episode, I talk about the difference between someone being good in general and someone being good for you specifically. Just because a relationship had beautiful moments, real connection, and genuine care doesn't always mean it's the right fit for your life.
A lot of us were taught that love means sacrifice, compromise, and always being there for your partner. But somewhere along the way, many of us learned how to show up for others while slowly disappearing ourselves.
So today we're getting real about why boundaries matter in romantic relationships. I'm talking about the difference between healthy compromise and self-abandonment, why so many people struggle to say "no," and how setting boundaries can actually protect love instead of ruining it.
Because the truth is, the right person won't be threatened by your boundaries - they'll respect them.
And sometimes loving someone also means loving yourself enough to say: "This is what I'm okay with… and this is what I'm not."
Let's talk about it.
Some of us don't have a motivation problem - we have a follow-through problem.
Because every time you say you're going to change, start, stop, try, or grow... and then you don't, you slowly stop trusting yourself.
If you've ever said "I'll start Monday" or "This time for real," this episode is for you.
We live in a world where everybody has an opinion but not everybody has the full picture. In this episode, I talk about the quiet danger of being ill-informed: spiritually, socially, and even personally. This one is about humility, discernment, and choosing truth over ego. Because sometimes growth starts with admitting… you didn't know.
Not everything beautiful is visible.
In this episode, I'm talking about the "inner garment" - the heart beneath the presentation. Using Proverbs 31 as a framework, we explore what it really means to be clothed in strength and dignity from the inside out. This isn't about perfection or performance. It's about alignment. Healing. Integrity. And becoming whole in private before shining in public.
If you've ever looked put-together on the outside while wrestling internally… this one's for you.
Everybody loves to quote "wives submit"… but very few people keep reading.
As a Christian woman, I had to wrestle with this chapter myself. And what I found wasn't oppression - it was structure. Not silence - but sacred alignment.
Marriage in Ephesians 5 isn't about control. It's about reflecting Christ.
If you've ever felt uncomfortable with this scripture… If you've ever heard it quoted at you… Or if you just want to understand it deeper...
This one's for you.
Let's read the whole thing.
Your story matters...even in scripture.
Today we're unpacking the real meaning behind "You can't have your cake and eat it too" and tying it to the playful but painfully accurate twist: "You can't have your Kate and Edith too."
This episode is about consequence, commitment, divided loyalty, and the cost of wanting options while claiming depth...

In this episode, I talk about what it really means to find solace - not in people, not in distractions, but within yourself. Let's talk about emotional maturity, faith, silence, and learning how to be steady even when life feels uncertain.
We live in a world that wants everything right now — relationships, healing, success, validation. In this episode, I break down what immediate gratification really is, why our brains crave it, and how choosing short-term comfort often costs us long-term peace. Let's talk about patience, discipline, and learning how to sit with discomfort without running from it.
In this episode, I'm talking about what it really means to call a spade a spade — in dating, friendships, and even with ourselves. Why do we rebrand emotional unavailability as "he's just been through a lot"? Why do we call disrespect "miscommunication"? And why does clarity feel scarier than confusion?
If you've ever ignored your intuition to keep the peace, this one is for you.
Let's stop romanticizing dysfunction and start choosing clarity.
What happens when you feel deeply… but don't always know what to do with it? In this episode, I'm unpacking disorganized empathy...that confusing space where you care a lot, feel overwhelmed, and sometimes shut down. If you've ever absorbed other people's emotions, struggled with boundaries, or felt torn between closeness and distance, this conversation is for you. This one is for the over-feelers learning how to care without losing themselves.
In this episode, I talk about the psychology of familiarity, exposure, and why hearing someone's story can soften us toward people who've caused real harm. We explore how empathy, when left unchecked, can blur discernment - especially in relationships, communities, and faith spaces. Understanding someone does not mean excusing them, and grace does not require access.
The Penguin Love Theory has been all over the internet—and I had to talk about it. This episode is for the people who love deeply, intentionally, and maybe feel a little out of place in today's dating culture. We're unpacking what penguin love really represents, why consistency feels rare, and why wanting clarity doesn't make you needy—it makes you honest. 🐧🤍
Ever met someone who had one good quality and suddenly you thought they were perfect? Yeah… same. In this episode, I'm talking about the Halo Effect - that thing that makes us romanticize people, ignore red flags, and fall in love with potential instead of reality. We're unpacking how attraction clouds judgment, why we stay longer than we should, and how discernment can save you a whole lot of heartache. This one is for the girls (and guys) who saw the signs… and kept going anyway. 💭✨
This episode is for anyone who's ever said, "I'm not hurt physically… but why does this feel worse?"
I'm talking about emotional pain versus physical pain - why heartbreak, grief, rejection, and disappointment can hit just as hard (if not harder) than a physical injury. We get into why emotional pain lingers, why it's so often minimized, and how it shows up in our bodies even when nothing looks "wrong" on the outside.
If you've been carrying silent pain, pushing through because you feel like you should be fine, this conversation is for you. Healing isn't just about what people can see - it's about tending to the wounds no one notices.
Let's talk about it. 💚
Have you ever seen someone hurting and felt frozen—even though you wanted to help? That moment of hesitation isn't apathy. It's emotional.
In this episode, I break down the emotional bystander effect...the fear, anxiety, guilt, and overwhelming feeling that stop us from stepping in when someone needs support. This episode is for anyone who's ever said, "I should've done something." Awareness is the first step. Courage is the next.
We all have facts in our lives...things that happen, people's actions, events - but how often do our feelings align with them?
Ever felt like you missed your moment or messed up something good? I've been there. In this episode, I reflect on how God meets us in the middle, restores what we thought we ruined, and proves that a second chance is still a chance. This one is for anyone starting over.
In this episode, I talk about loving exponentially instead of equally - loving from who you are, not from fear, comparison, or self-shrinking. We get into emotional capacity, discernment, and the difference between loving deeply and loving blindly.
In this episode, I talk about the ability to think flexibly without losing yourself. We get into ego, open-mindedness, and why growth sometimes requires sitting with discomfort. A quick, reflective listen for anyone learning how to stretch their thinking without breaking. 🧠✨
Sometimes you don't need answers. You just need reassurance. This episode is a reminder that even when life feels uncertain, God's still covering you. If you're tired, confused, or quietly holding it together… this one's for you.
On vit vite, on aime vite, on décide vite.
Dans cet épisode, je parle de cette génération pressée qui confond parfois intensité et amour, connexion et projection. De l'envie d'aller vite, mais aussi de la fatigue que ça crée.
Not Every Thought Is True
Ever notice how your mind jumps to conclusions, exaggerates situations, or convinces you of things that aren't actually facts?
In this episode, we're talking about common thinking errors...the mental shortcuts our brains take that can lead to overthinking, unnecessary stress, and self-doubt. From black-and-white thinking to mind reading and worst-case scenarios, we break down how these thoughts show up in everyday life and how to start checking them instead of letting them run everything.
This is a gentle reminder that just because you think it… doesn't mean it's true. Let's slow down, reflect, and correct some thoughts together 🫶🏽✨
Sometimes healing looks like clarity… and sometimes it looks like chaos with self-awareness. If you've been overthinking, over-feeling, or just trying to hold it together, this one's for you.
In this episode, we talk about the fine line between enjoying life and avoiding growth. When does "self-care" turn into self-sabotage? And how do we choose purpose without becoming rigid or miserable? Let's unpack it gently, honestly, and with a little accountability.
Ever notice how laundry never stops piling up… no matter how many loads you do? Yeah - life kind of works the same way.
In this episode of I Stand Corrected, I talk about the emotional weight we carry, the things we put off, and the quiet moments where life feels heavier than we expected. This is a gentle reminder that you don't have to have it all together to keep going. Sometimes progress looks like doing one small thing, taking one deep breath, or giving yourself permission to rest.
If you've been feeling overwhelmed, tired, or just a little behind, this one's for you 🤍
✨ "Come to me, all you who are weary and burdened, and I will give you rest." - Matthew 11:28
Ever feel stuck even though you have options? In this episode, I talk about option paralysis; why having too many choices can leave us doing nothing at all. From dating to career moves to life decisions, we unpack how fear, overthinking, and waiting for "the perfect option" keeps us stuck. If you've been sitting on a decision… this one's for you!
In this episode, I'm breaking down the classic Dr. Phil question: "How's that working for you?" Not as a drag… but as a reality check. Sometimes the only thing standing between us and the life we want is the pattern we refuse to question.
Infatuation will have you planning a future with someone you barely know... In this episode, I break down why we fall so fast, why it feels so intense, and how to tell the difference between real connection and a fantasy our minds created. Whether you're in your soft era or recovering from a situationship, this one will help you stay grounded, self-aware, and a little less delulu. Tune in, laugh a little, reflect a lot, and let's talk about the art of not losing yourself in the butterflies.
Sometimes the situation wasn't even that deep… but the lessons were.
We're talking red flags, mixed signals, bare-minimum behavior, accountability, and the moment you realize confusion is not a love language.
If you've ever entertained someone who gave you just enough to keep you hooked but never enough to feel secure… yeah, this one is for you.
In this episode, I'm breaking down the little habits, mindsets, and decisions that make life way harder and have us out here looking goofy for no reason. From reading the room to moving with quiet confidence, I'm sharing the rules that keep me grounded, self-aware, and far away from unnecessary embarrassment.
It's funny, it's real, and a little bit shady… in the best way. If you're trying to level up, this one is for you.
Sometimes life isn't "lifing"… it's just a skill issue. In this episode, we're talking about the patterns people blame on vibes, fate, or childhood that actually come down to missing skills - communication, boundaries, emotional regulation, discipline, all of it.

In this episode, I'm diving into something that changed the way I show up for myself: self-compassion. I talk about what it actually is, why so many of us struggle with it, and how learning to be gentle with myself literally shifted everything in my healing, my confidence, and my relationships.
If you've ever been too hard on yourself, felt guilty for being human, or struggled to give yourself the grace you give everyone else… this episode is for you.
Let's unpack softness, healing, and what it really means to be on your own team
In this episode, I'm diving into two mind-bending concepts we all experience without even realizing it: the Mandela Effect and the classic 6 vs 9 perspective.
First, I talk about why whole groups of people remember the exact same wrong thing (yes, your brain be lying), and how memory is not the reliable camera we think it is. Then I switch over to the perspective side - how two people can look at the same situation and come to completely different conclusions, and why both can feel true.
Finally, I bring both ideas together to make it make sense: what we remember and what we see are shaped by our experiences, our emotions, and the angles we're standing at. It's a humbling reminder that our minds are powerful… but not perfect.
If you love episodes that challenge how you think, this one is for you. Tap in, boo. 🎧💛
In this episode, I'm diving into the messy, beautiful, sometimes confusing world of adult friendships. Because let's be honest - nobody warned us how hard it can be to maintain friendships when life gets real. We talk about what healthy friendship actually looks like in your grown-woman era, the red flags that tell you it's time to let go, and the green flags that remind you who's worth holding onto.
I finally sat down with my dad: a DOCTOR of THEOLOGY - a man whose life, faith, and story have shaped me more than words can explain...and this conversation is everything I didn't know my heart needed.
We laughed, reflected, and talked about God's faithfulness through the years. Sometimes restoration doesn't come the way you expect - but it always comes right on time.
Sometimes it's not about being right...Holding space for people who think, believe, or live differently takes patience, humility, and grace. It's learning to listen without judgment, to love without control, and to stay grounded even when the conversation gets uncomfortable.
Because real maturity isn't proving your point - it's being able to sit with difference and still choose peace.
✨ Your story matters, and I'm here to listen.
You ever meet someone and think, "This could really be it"… but it just doesn't go anywhere? The Taxi Cab Theory says people only commit when their "available" light turns on and sometimes, you're just standing at the curb too early. In this episode, I'm talking timing, readiness, and learning to stop chasing potential. Because maybe it's not that you weren't enough… maybe their light just wasn't on yet.
In this episode, I talk about the difference between convergent and divergent thinking - and how the way we think shapes the way we live, create, and even heal. I'm learning that structure has its place, but peace often comes when I stop trying to control every outcome and just let myself imagine again. 💛
Healing was just the beginning - becoming is the real story. In The Most Unexpected Lessons I've Learned in Life (Part 2), I return with more truth, faith, and fine-girl wisdom. From learning to rest in God's timing to investing in peace, confidence, and glow, I share the lessons that shaped me into the woman I'm still becoming. This one's about worth, grace, beauty, and divine timing...because when God restores you, He upgrades you too. 💛
Life doesn't always teach through comfort; sometimes it teaches through chaos. In this episode, I'm opening up about the most unexpected lessons I've learned in my 20s: love that broke me, growth that humbled me, and faith that rebuilt me. Listen in...who knows...and maybe you'll hear your own story somewhere between the lines. 😘

In this episode, I’m asking the real question -What about me? Let’s talk about the weight of pouring into everyone else, the importance of being poured into too, and why remembering yourself isn’t selfish...it’s necessary.

Let’s talk about discernment, protecting your peace, and knowing when to walk away.

"Tu peux pas m’avoir… et me blesser en même temps." Cet épisode, c’est pour toutes celles et ceux qui ont aimé quelqu’un qui leur faisait plus de mal que de bien. Un rappel simple mais nécessaire : l’amour, le vrai, ne se vit pas à moitié. Pas dans la douleur, pas dans la confusion. Si t’avais besoin d’un signe pour te choisir, le voilà. À envoyer à ton ex. Ou à toi-même. 💌
This one’s heavy. In this episode of I Stand Corrected, we’re going there...we’re talking about suicide in the Bible. From kings to prophets to disciples, Scripture shows us that even the chosen struggled. Even the anointed broke down.
This isn’t just about death; it’s about despair, shame, isolation, and the dangerous lie that things can’t get better. But here’s the truth: God saw them then, and He sees you now. Whether you’re carrying this weight yourself or loving someone who is, this episode is for you.
🎧 Trigger warning: This episode includes discussion of suicide and suicidal ideation. Listen with care and tenderness.
Tu vas mieux.
Today, we’re naming the kind of harm that doesn’t always leave bruises; the kind that leaves you confused, numb, and questioning yourself. We’re talking about coercion. The moments you didn’t fight, but you also didn’t feel safe. The times you said “yes” just to stop saying “no.” If you’ve ever walked away from an encounter feeling violated but unsure how to name it, this is for you. You are not alone. You’re not overreacting. And no, it wasn’t your fault.
Not every memory lives in a box. Some live in us - in the heartbreaks we don’t talk about, the prayers we whispered in the dark, and the quiet goodbyes we never said out loud. This one’s for anyone still healing from the versions of themselves they had to leave behind.
Et si tu t’étais perdue en chemin ? Est-ce que tu te connais vraiment ?

Scandal in the church? Oh, it’s real. The infamous moment when Paul goes off about a man sleeping with his stepmother and a church acting unbothered... But beneath the mess is a powerful message: real love corrects. Silence isn’t grace. And sometimes, tough truth is the most loving thing you can give someone.
In this episode of I Stand Corrected, we explore the delicate art of wearing your heart on your sleeve. Okay but do you understand that God is beyond time and circumstances? If yes, that's all you need.
I asked for direction and clarity - all I got was the next step and not the staircase. I have accepted it and keep it pushing every day. I love the process of walking in my purpose. Results may not look exactly like my vivid imagination but I have a sense of confidence that it all works out in my favor.
"And we know that in all things God works for the good of those who love him, who have been called according to his purpose." - Romans 8:28
Seek God's will for your life and enjoy the process; He has great plans for you love💕(Proof - Jeremiah 29:11)
I know God way too much to be acting like this.
I have a clear idea, like an ideal way of life in my head. I can write it on paper but can I actually live it? Can I live up to these expectations?
I am using grace and accountability to become a better person - so far it's been working for me, I hope it stays that way.
Beautiful: pleasing the senses or mind aesthetically; of a very high standard...
Dating...in my shoes ??? Not for the weak. It is a flex though because not everyone gets to pick and choose who/what they want.
Song of Songs 4:7 - You are altogether beautiful, my darling: there is no flaw in you.
Obviously there is more to life than being physically beautiful. According to the word, what's inside matters A LOT. In my case, I'm the full package; i.e. INSIDE and OUT
This is a quick prayer to start off.
Talking to God is the way to go - if there is anything in this world that you need, ASK GOD and you shall receive. You should also be grateful for what he has already done for you and so in your prayers, remember to thank Him.
Matthew 7:7 is THE verse !
The list goes on...
We have a guest today (drum roll)...Emmanuel Tekila !
I'm sure some people send out letters but for the most part, texting is the new thing.
I struggle with texting back, texting people on time and many more TEXTING related stuff BUT I have good reasons. On this episode we talk about how we feel when it comes to texting in this modern world and through the busyness of life.
Tune in and get some advice from Mr. Tekila ! Hey you might get a shot too 😘
Announcement😌: This is probably my favorite episode; I chose 12 out of the 30 precepts.
Proverbs is full of knowledge and frankly, we all get called out someway, somehow. No one is perfect; as long as you're human, you're going to get called out on your ...👀 Take the advice or leave it - you decide (TAKE IT, TAKE IT🫣)
Personally, I'm in my 'one step at a time' era. I am gradually fixing what needs to be fixed and improving what's already working out - GOOD, BETTER, BEST...bestest...?
These precepts come from Proverbs chapter 22 - 24; see for yourself friend :-)
It is going to matter in 3 weeks? No ? Alright let it go.
If you somehow can't let go, let me know so I can take you to lunch; I got you like that ❤️
Ephesians 4:26-27 - Go ahead and be angry. You do well to be angry - but don't use your anger as fuel for revenge. And don't stay angry. Don't go to bed angry. Don't give the Devil that kind of foothold in your life. MSG
Romans 12:19 - Dear friends, never take revenge. Leave that to the righteous anger of God. For the Scriptures say, “I will take revenge; I will pay them back,” says the LORD. NLT
*I meant Ephesians 4 instead of 5; thanks for coping with me guys 💕
I have a routine that I've been loving for a few months now; probably because of the results 😂. It is light work if you're consistent but honestly if you can go to the gym everyday, you can also take care of your mind, soul and spirit.
Here are the two scriptures that I was trying to quote at some point...😂 please bare with me:
Ecclesiastes 1:18 - Much learning earns you much trouble. The more you know, the more you hurt. (The Message version)
Philippians 4:6-7 - Do not be anxious about anything, but in every situation, by prayer and petition, with thanksgiving, present your requests to God. 7 And the peace of God, which transcends all understanding, will guard your hearts and your minds in Christ Jesus. (NIV)
Stay focused on your goals. Enjoy the journey and include God ALWAYS !

Hey !! Welcome to this episode with my sister Sara :)
She gives her opinions on a few things you probably do not think of.
For some reasons we crack each other up and I probably shouldn't look at her in serious situations. I hope to have two daughters in the future so they can be besties like us.
Her instagram is @the_queen_smk and our instagram page is @sara_x_lisa 😃
Being considerate is moving with emotional intelligence. If you really care about the people around you, work on your emotions and reactions.
*heavy on the "don't go back to what made you cry"
I think everyone deserves to find love in a partner or whatever.
Ladies - There is definitely something I said in here that you can relate to.
Men - Are you ready for this?
A bit personal with this one...I am in a season of change, acknowledgment, growth and that.
I don't like to be pressured by anyone into doing anything...I have my reasons for doing or not doing certain things. If I say I don't want to, I mean it. Let me be.
You really just have to figure out what you'll do to pick yourself back up in case it doesn't work out. Weigh your options & why not have a back up plan? Once you do all that, shoot...go for it.
It took me some time to realize how timing is important. You don't always have to verbally participate in a situation. It is okay to stay quiet, ignore or keep your thoughts to yourself. Read the room and control your urge to talk :-)
This was an educative conversation with Marquis. It's right on time for Black History Month and definitely gives some insight on the relationship between mental health and philosophy.
Thank you Marquis for joining me on this podcast and sharing your knowledge :-)
*shout out to Manny for the inspiring work out video about strength
I hope to have a follow up conversation with Marquis on the podcast. Stay tuned and be blessed.
Hi :-) Welcome to my area! Here, I stand corrected. I hope you find lots of love around here.
You can call me Lisa but I prefer babygirl.
The baby voice in here is a recording from 2016. My baby sister was laughing and till this day, it is my favorite memory of us.
The cover art is my art and I call her 'mama'. Of all my pieces, I picked her because she represents a young woman...there is so much more to the story so, stay tuned to find out.
