Episode number 10 features not one, but two guests! Dent Stallworth and his fiance, Allie Black. Dent and Allie are from Alabama and the two of them travel the country together with their dog, "Girl," and their pull-behind camper. The two of them are more-less able to continue with their daily lives while on the road and living from their camper once they reach a destination.
We begin by discussing how Dent and Allie are able to go about traveling together throughout most of the spring turkey season. Dent (25 years old) is an avid turkey hunter and Allie is along for the ride getting an opportunity to hunt whenever she can, but serves mostly as Dent's supporter. Allie also tries videoing and documenting their adventures for their Instagram account, Hunter and Hoops.
Dent's turkey hunting passion and knowledge has earned him a turkey in 47 states entering the 2023 turkey season, just 2 states shy of a US Super Slam. Dent isn't the only one looking forward to this season. Allie is an Osceola turkey away from her first Grand Slam!

In the first segment of the show, Billy and Matt discuss new releases available on the Turkey Hunting USA website, including the second cut from the Grand Slam Series, "The Split-V."
Segment two features our first guest on the Turkey Hunting USA Podcast, Nate Backus. Nate has currently completed 51 Grand Slams! Nate might be a ghost to most people, but our very own, Billy Barnett, met Nate in Florida in 2016, while Billy was chasing his own Grand Slam. Since then the two have kept in touch and become good friends.
Nate was born in West Virginia. Nate's family moved to Arkansas in 1971 and that is where Nate began his turkey hunting career. His mother bought him his first turkey call, a box call, at the age of 14. Nate was able to harvest 10 Grand Slams with the call. After joining the service in 1978, Nate served for four years in the military and later moved to South Carolina, where he eventually killed his first turkey in 1983. Nate accomplished his first Grand Slam in 2022, and the rest is history from there.
Nate also assists us with this week's "state spotlight," Florida. Learn the rules, regulations and first-hand experiences from "The Sunshine State."
Nate is an entertaining person with a lot of great stories and a ton of knowledge. We hope that you enjoy the show!
