Life Becomes More Un-ConceptualI sat staring at the blank screen and blank page with no ideas of what to write and I thought, well I don’t have to write anything this month for the monthly blog, do I?
And the answer came from within, no you don’t.
You don’t have to be disciplined in the way you have been for many years. You can live more in alignment with the truth of your soul and actions will still happen, or not.
I could say my past concept of discipline was mostly ego, or mind based. I had an idea if I did this, then that would happen. It may have started as an intuition but then got crowded out by the ego’s need to make it happen and ended up with forcing the concept or idea, rather than letting it evolve or dissolve as a natural flow coming from love.
Discipline for me now means DEVOTION, and a devotional act is one that comes from love. It’s from the soul, the heart, the part of us that is guiding us all the time and is the same essence in you as in me.
Devotion needs our quietude to be felt and heard. Heard in a different way to how the mind talks. It has a specific “language” to help us navigate in the 3D human experience according to our unique expression of consciousness.
When there is no impulse to action coming from love, from the deep place within us that knows, and instead comes from a mental concept, then it’s not going to be so relaxing and easy. It becomes a force or push and slowly becomes wear and tear on the physical, emotional, mental levels of being.
TRUST THE UN-CONCEPTUALThe more I listen to my body, the voice of my soul, and follow what feels right, and know how I'm wired to make decisions and live being true to who I am, the more I deepen self-trust in the flow of life.
Even when things unfold and I initially think, oh no disaster, I come home to that surrender and deep trust in life's mysterious ways. There is no forcing or need to push. Relax and be with what life offers even if it initially feels terribly unpalatable. Everything is moving, shifting all the time. Things come and go, including our feelings about things.
Even in child birthing these days, the mother is supported to relax and not forcibly push. Life, nature, knows what to do. Let the mind and the concepts be still. Let the body know what it knows how to do.
Living in tune with our soul’s truth brings about a state of Santosha which is a kind of contentment that comes from being with what is, not needing the moment to be any different.
An internal light bulb flickers and one realizes this contentment and ease comes when we embody SURRENDERING.
It’s the grandest adventure getting to know who you are, what you are, how you make aligned decisions, and what your overarching purpose in this life is.
If you are curious and would like to know what this means for you, I have some new Human Design offerings in the works that are super affordable and incredibly enlightening and helpful.
Let me know if you are interested HERE and I’ll send you more information as soon as they are ready to be revealed.

I retired from regular weekly work, which was mainly teaching yoga in physical studio spaces. I loved it and after 30 years of consistency, it was time to let it go. That doesn’t mean I’ve stopped practicing yoga and I still offer yoga practices during my retreats or online.
Here’s what I’ve delightfully been discovering in this next chapter of life:
The last is quite enlightening. Much of the actions I’ve done in the past were based on getting somewhere or something and while I understand the necessities of living, questioning the motivation behind actions always brings me home to what is true, real, and necessary in my life at a particular point in time.
It's a discernment between whether it’s ego or soul driven action.I appreciate that everyone is different, has different needs, and is in a different chapter perhaps. That being said, examining one’s motivations for doing anything is a deeply rewarding and enlightening practice.
When I stopped my regular gig teaching classes, I wanted to focus my energy on creating. Making art, whether that’s drawing, painting, pottery. It’s my happy place and brings me joy. Thus, it’s my essential focus for the remainder of my life. Being in my 70’s I don’t have the luxury of feeling like I’m immortal with infinite time ahead of me, and so it’s time now to follow what brings joy. Everything else can fall away.
However, I do have other innate talents. Beside being creative, I’m also skilled at guiding people to live their lives more joyfully, based on who they are.
I am here to poke people back to spirit. As a wise woman elder who’s stepped into her true self, I enjoy guiding others to be true to who they are.
Recently I was reminded of the top 5 Regrets of the Dying as described in the book by Bronnie Ware.
The top number #1 being:
I wish I’d had the courage to live a life true to myself, not the life others expected of me. Followed by
BE TRUE TO YOUis a phrase I’ve used that encompasses the essence of all of my work through the years.
My coaching offerings include Human Design as a map to support one’s dharma, talents and skills, while deconditioning from the mind's habits and beliefs that get in the way.. This means learning to trust yourself more and listen to your soul’s impulses and the ways it reveals itself to you.
This is my dharma. My seva.
Guiding you to be true to you, and what that actually means for you. Know the difference between ego and soul driven motivations.
If you feel called any time in this new year to have my support, here are my coaching offerings:
6-session coaching package $1500 AUD (payment plan available). Includes as much support as you want between sessions via message or email. Your choice, every week, or every 2 weeks for sessions.
https://www.aeshakennedy.com/spacious-success-mentoring/
3-session Business Focus $444 AUD (payment plan available)
Or a Single Session Overview $150
https://www.aeshakennedy.com/align-and-shine-human-design/
I am NOT raising my coaching prices for 2025.
As I mentioned above, I question my motivations behind actions. I won’t raise my prices for the sake of it, or because I think it’s the done thing for a new year. Upon listening and surrendering to my soul’s guidance, I’m quite happy with the prices of my offerings, and I’m grateful I can keep them the same as they have been.
ENERGY HEALING sessionsI am also trained and skilled in giving energy healing sessions as shown to me by a Balinese traditional healer. This is an energetic deconditioning of old patterns and beliefs. It works purely energetically through a transmission of universal healing energy that clears what is not supporting one's system to live to its fullest potential.
In person sessions. However sessions can also be given online as energy is not restricted in that way.
Approx 30 minutes

Sovereignty is the new Gurua Human Design PerspectiveThis is a transformative time ultimately pointing to Sovereignty as the new guru. No more outer authorities that we think know better than we do. We tune in and listen to something beyond mind and deepen into self trust and inner authority.
In 2027 as a new year cycle begins, we collectively transition from the Cross of Planning, which has been in effect for the past 400 years, into the Cross of the Sleeping Phoenix.
What does this mean?
For the past 400 years we were in the energy of planning, and all the structures created through this cross of planning. Now humanity moves into a new way of being and doing with the Cross of the Sleeping Phoenix.
Here are some keywords about the Cross of the Sleeping Phoenix
No more outer authorities telling us what’s right for us or doing things in a cookie cutter way where we are expected to do things in a one-way-fits-all way of doing things. This is dissolving. We can look at the business sector to see how much it is changing. People work more from home, less in an office, or as a solopreneur working for themselves as their own boss, with digital capabilities to be able to do that.
KNOW THYSELFTo flow with the new energy and new ways of doing things, we are pointed within to know ourselves. Pointed within rather than looking outside of ourselves for answers and solutions.
Know thyself as a way forward. It means no reliance on anything outside of ourselves to tell us what, where, how. The guru is within us.
GEE YOU ARE YOU
G.U.R.U.
We will be shifting from outer reliance into individual powerful creator. Going forward all manifestations and creations will come from the individual especially those who are self-responsible, know their strengths and gifts and live their purpose within the wholeness of humanity.
Already there are rumblings and crumblings of the “old” ways. The transition we are in is a messy one. It’s also what creative energy is like. Messy as it mutates into its new form.
This is definitely the time to be true to you, and knowing what that means to you. What you are creating with your innate gifts, challenges, shadows, and purpose takes awareness and presence.
How you are thinking, what you say, and what you manifest as an individual is impactful in a beneficial way to humanity when it is aligned with how you are designed.
There is no age limit on this.
You can be retired from working and you still benefit greatly in this life by knowing thyself and living your design. It's not about time, it’s not too late.
HOW YOU MAKE CORRECT DECISIONSYour decisions have to come from your inner authority. Not the mind, but a deeper part of you that can guide you in your true power and purpose. In Human Design there are different types of inner authority decision making. Knowing what yours is and transitioning out of your head into this inner authority of the body will be massively life altering for many because as a society we’ve been so heavily oriented to making decisions from the head. And look where we are!
To keep it simple: the body leads and the mind is there to support that lead. You can read my last blog, Body Leads, Mind Recedes where I talk about this in more detail.
Even if you are not familiar or into Human Design, I hope that you can feel in my words the energy of what sovereignty means in our human evolution and the importance of self-governance, inner authority, authenticity, individuality, and using your innate gifts and talents to bring in a period of abundance and creativity that enhances humanity.

Living in Conscious FlowWhat happens when life throws you what seems like a curveball? In hindsight the curveball can be seen as necessary. Perhaps to shift you into another pathway or to align you more to what is correct and true for you at a particular moment in time.
However, at the time, a curveball can throw you off balance, be shocking, or hard to accept..
How we respond to a sudden change of circumstance will either help us be in flow, or be stuck in resistance.
RESPONDABILITYWhen you respond with trust, even if you are freaking out in the moment, you will come to a place of feeling expanded as you adjust to the new energetic flow of life and allow the unknown new direction to slowly reveal itself. The freak-out subsides and you rest in the calming energy of trusting in life's twists and turns.
On the other hand if you resist the ‘adjustment’ there is a feeling of contraction in the body and the mind goes into overdrive trying to control and work it all out. This impedes the natural flow of life.
Most of us want to live a more effortless life.
It requires TRUST
We can’t always know what lies ahead or why things happen the way they do.
Awareness shows us there are two paths:
align with love or align with fear.
In order to align with love there has to be trust in the unknown. Trust in a universal energy and consciousness that is not here to punish, or hurt us. This universal energy is unconditioned love. Not a personal love, but an all permeating force of creation.
Connecting to the flow of lifeWhat is Wu Wei (pronounced woo way)?
It can be described as effortless action that arises from spontaneity.
Do nothing and yet things are done.
An acknowledgement of the invisible yet permeating energy of the Dao: letting one's action follow the simple and spontaneous course of nature.
Meaning that there is no personal “doer” as such who is doing anything. We are in the flow of life and life is a fluid, flexible, free flowing energy that we are part of, not separate from.
How do we follow the course of nature?
What gets in the way?
SUGGESTED TIPS:
Practices to bring you into a deepening self trust:
If you are called to know your true nature, you will desire to live the way of Wu Wei.
Make this desire to know yourself a devotion to trust in universal consciousness and the mystery of beauty and love that is all around us in creative forms.

DoubtIt’s not a problemEveryone has doubts.
Most times, when doubt arises, we want to quickly fix that. Change it. Move on. Be positive. Remove the doubt. Be sure.
But what if we lean into that sensation of doubt and let it show us something we may not otherwise have access to.
Doubt leads to inquiry if you give it space.Feeling doubt can be there before you start something new.
What if I’m not up to it? I’m not sure that this is right for me? What if I can’t do this, then what? Why waste my energy unless I’m sure?
This kind of self-talk leads to confusion and inaction.
And then there can be doubt arising after you’ve finished something.
I don’t know if it’s good enough? Maybe I should have …..
When we start to bring more awareness to the arising doubt and don’t go into immediate reactions of ignoring, hiding it, trying to remove doubts, trying to replace it with an air of confidence, we lose an opportunity.
An opportunity to inquireIf you let doubt take over instead of giving it a space to be there, you could miss several opportunities to let doubt show you something.
For example:
The mind generates stories around doubt Doubt in and of itself is simply energy that we can use to our benefit. But more often than not we succumb to the mind stories that tell us doubt is interfering with our ability to do what we want to do.
Our mind tells us it’s a problem
Why do we have to have doubt?
It’s part of the over-culture to think of doubt as a problem. A culture that tells us we need to be SURE, we need to KNOW what’s what.
But how unrealistic is that? We can never be sure before beginning something where it will end up, and we can’t know how it’s going to be received after we finish and put it out there.
Understanding that doubts have valueOn the spiritual path, whether that’s yoga, meditation, mindfulness, the quest usually begins with doubt.
You doubt how the world is operating.
You doubt your place within this world
You seek to inquire if there is a better way
You seek to inquire how you fit into the bigger picture of life
Doubt prompts you to ask the fundamental question:
Who Am I?
You sense there is more than what you’ve learned and what’s been presented to you.
You doubt what you’ve been told because it doesn’t feel right to you.
And this leads you to step on a path of self-inquiry.
If you were sure of everything and had no doubts you might not step onto the most wondrous quest of getting to know who you are, and living from your own individual inner authority within the magnificence of the whole of creation.

Why I don’t charge extraThis is something I have done for many years but I never really spoke about the reasons why I don’t charge extra.
I used to use the standard marketing strategies, like early bird price, VIP price, extra cost for payment plans. I have learned this from other business owners, coaches, and it seems standard practice.
I’ve never been comfortable with any of these things.
This comes with having had my own experience around this and it didn’t feel right or aligned with me.
It was about 10 years ago, when I was taking my first steps into creating an online business and I signed up to a conference, which was about women in business. It was a big investment for me at the time.
There was early bird pricing (with a penalty for not taking up the early bird offer, which was a higher ‘regular’ price).
Another was having to pay a higher price if you chose a payment plan to pay over time.
And then there was the option of paying extra on top of the normal cost to receive VIP treatment which included some extra perks.
Why I don't use these practices nowAt the time of this first conference I attended, I couldn’t afford to pay extra for VIP and I felt diminished when it was obvious during the retreat how the VIP people were treated differently to the rest of us.
I also couldn’t pay all at once. I needed a payment plan. This was a big investment for me at the time, and having to pay extra because of my financial situation was also not a pleasant feeling.
In general it felt like punishment. That might be a harsh word, but I couldn’t settle it inside myself that just because I couldn’t pay the total up front I had to pay more.
These practices still turn my stomach.
I understand the marketing logic, but for me it creates FOMO and falls into fear based marketing.
It can make people feel diminished when they are equally competent as anyone else but their life situation might be one where they need a payment plan, or they can’t pay early.
Ultimately my choice to not use these standard practices comes from how I feel about using them and how I want to run my business.
So yes, at that time of that first conference I made a note to myself that I wouldn’t make anyone ever feel like I felt at that conference if they wanted to work with me as a client or come to my retreats.
In the past, however, I did initially follow those accepted strategies.
And then I stopped.
It doesn’t feel good for me.
And the early bird pricing is one I only recently stopped. I questioned myself about this and came up with a better solution which is to offer the best price I can. For everyone.
I accept and honor others who adopt the standard practices and I have no judgment on them. We each follow our own paths.
When I listen to my heart I go with what feels right and that means letting go of any fear based elements in running my business.
If you're a business owner, or have been in a similar situation as I described I’d love to hear from you and how this article lands for you.

Ambition is beautiful when it comes from your heart.Be ambitious AF, set goals, and envision your future but do it all without expectation.
Yep
That's the key to effortlessness, relaxed state of flow, MAGNETISM
Expectation carries with it a root of disappointment. If you explore this for yourself you will see it. The expectations are already tinged with an expected disappointment, even though we may not want to see that.
And yes, there are times when your expectations do unfold as you envision, and then you think it's because of YOU and something you did and your control over the situation that made it happen.
Not true.
Control is not needed (although your mind will convince you otherwise).
When we let go of control, we let LIFE flow through and guide us.
We listen from the heart and attune to our body to what feels really joyful, aligned, expanded, and inspiring.
The body knows, the mind doubtsSet your goals but let go of expectation of how it's supposed to unfold. Make your intentions and then let them unfurl - free from the constraints of expectations.
Intentions are creative and open when the intention comes from the heart.
Intentions you make don't need a specific outcome or need for it to be one way. This openness allows the magic of life to flow through you and show you pathways that you hadn't even thought of.
I often set an intention and then end with, 'this or something better'. You could say, "something wilder, or something bigger. It's an open door for life to support you in ways your mind couldn't imagine.
If it feels odd to not control and have expectations with your ambitious goals it's not surprising as most of us grew up in a patriarchal society and things were done in a more masculine mind-based way.
I encourage you to explore your feminine power of listening to your body, your gut, your intuition, your inner authority, and trust more and more in this part. It can feel scary, but keep going and learn to trust it. Find a friend or coach that can hold your hand in this new territory of having ambition with heart and letting go of expectations in your intention setting.
Let the mind be a servant, in service to the divine feminine creative energy that points us into the unknown adventure of life and living in FLOW - Free, Liberated, Open, Wild.
Give it a go and see how you flow.

Everything always in FluxThis is the “way” This is how life flows.Nothing is permanent or fixed or controlled, even when we think we have control, it’s but an illusion. As simple as this might be to understand, it can be hugely challenging to live this way if we don’t cultivate a deep rooted trust in ourselves and […]

Are you noticing how being more YIN is in?This is a sort of pun, but it’s true that yin reflects the movement into a more feminine energy which IS more of a going “in”, as well as being more receptive, quiet, and passive. But not the kind of passive we’ve learned to equate that word with.
It’s not submissive, or meek.
It’s more like REST, or pause which may SEEM passive, but it’s rest that brings us a quiet strength for our creative life force to move us powerfully into actions and create forms – all in it’s divine timing.
How does this relate to our day to day lives?
It means we can let go of our conditioning to always be busy (thus perhaps feeling important), drop the notions of rest being lazy and judgements that it's a bad thing and know that rest is required.
We can also let go of the conditioning to push to get what we think we want which is a form of forcing. And if you are familiar with the Dao, there is no need to force anything, ever.
Life takes care.
If we pay attention to life’s flow, we can flow serendipitously with life’s signals and directions with ease. No need to go against life’s current and totally exhaust ourselves trying.
Instead, we can LISTENListen deeply to our inner authority that is there to guide us. Understand how it works for you, trust it, and use it so it becomes second nature and always steers you in the direction you are meant to go.
It reminds me of a Japanese word Ikigai, which I was reminded of recently.
Ikigai loosely translates to “reason for being”.Ikigai is your purpose of life and identifying your ikigai takes willingness, perseverance and ongoing refinement which requires you to constantly observe yourself, reflect on your actions, behavior, and how you interact with the world around you.
Every week in my Yoga classes I invite us to set our Sankalpa, an intentional vow you make and commit yourself to.
It can be anything but usually I suggest it center around,
how you want to feel each day and how you want to relate to the world.Your reason for being.
Ikigai is said to be Japan’s secret to happiness.
Helpful tip for the month:Deep LISTENING so you can tune into your inner authority, and to be in flow with your Ikigai. Here is my suggested helpful tip for this month:
Give it a go and let me know how you go.
I’d love to know.
P.S. If you want to explore how your inner authority works uniquely for you based on your Human Design, I offer readings. More info here.

I remember a time in my 20's walking directly home after work in the city and I panicked. I panicked because I had nothing to do.
Most evenings after a long days work I had something on. I was ALWAYS busy doing something. And this one day there was nothing to do after work and I freaked.
Then I paused, reflected, felt into that feeling and realized that every ounce of my busy life was to avoid feeling alone, and being busy helped me falsely feel like I was kind of an important person. I was busy. It hit me in a flash and it hit hard.
Now with wisdom from experience and decades of living life, I laugh at that.
I love nothing more than some solitude and alone time. And I never feel alone.
I LOVE not being busy. It’s so aligned with who I am at the core of my being that I can’t fathom how I did busy all those years.
What's important
If someone asked you, what's the most important thing in your life right now, how would you answer?
I asked myself this very question, and it's presence. Being present, surrendered, awake.
That's the top line for me. Every other thing pales.
I'm not interested in making a six figure salary
Not interested in self-improvement that comes from feeling less
Not interested in building a legacy
I don't judge any of that, because I have come to realize that being present, surrendered and awake takes care of the unfolding of life.
If one is meant to have a six figure salary, for example, it will happen.
Don’t get me wrong, I’m not saying you don’t have to put in the effort. I can hear the protests. It only happens if you put in the effort. Yes, true.
But consider this:
When there is a strong desire for those things, you put in the effort effortlessly because you want it. You want it because it’s your soul-seeded desires that pull you strongly to do so. Not everyone’s desires are the same.
Conditioning versus true desireAnd when there is no desire for something, and you effort towards it because you THINK you should be doing that, then it’s conditioning. Yep.
I have had conditioning that had me falsely chasing things that aren’t really true desires for me.
For example, I have to make a lot of money to be successful was a conditioning in me. It’s false. It’s something I picked up from outside of myself and I realized it was making me very unhappy to chase after this.
It’s important to me to be true to who I am.
That’s a lifetime exploration and unravelling of conditioning. It’s the same for everyone. De-conditioning back to who you truly are.
It starts with being present, surrendered, awake.
From there we are shown, guided, and we take responsibility for what needs to happen next. One step at a time.
It’s not about doing it all alone without asking for help. Even the need for asking becomes apparent when it’s necessary.
Life is fluid, flowing, and magical when we stop listening to our mind and trust in our own inner authority to guide us in living aligned to our soul blueprint.
