“The plants that I found can be shared like peyote… though they're not nearly as intense. They're very gentle, non-hallucinogenic. But as they can still take you to the same places, especially with meditation, they still offer so much healing.” – Seamus BlackSeamus (SHAY-mus) Black is a creator of gourmet chocolate truffles featuring sacred plant medicine. He started his business, Emporium Black, in 2019 as a retired chef and chocolatier, as well as an artist and plant lover. His original idea behind these nightshade truffles stems from years living on reservations and being heavily involved with the Native American Church (peyote). During that time, he participated in roughly 200 meetings and ceremonies, living as part of that community. Once he returned to the culture he was raised in, he was looking for a way to help non-Native Americans make similar connections with plants, as well as giving these plants back to the people by helping to bring them out of the shadows. With decades of experience using plants for physical, mental, and emotional wellness, Seamus and partner Brighid are using their personal journeys to share the power of sacred plant medicine through Emporium Black.Resources or websites mentioned in this episode:MiraseeKaty’s websiteSeamus’s website

We're not separate from others in the market.” – Tad HargraveTad Hargrave is the founder of Marketing for Hippies. By 2006, he had become one of the first, full-time “conscious business” marketing coaches and created a business where he could share the understanding he had come to — marketing could feel good. You didn’t have to choose between marketing that worked (but felt awful) or marketing that felt good (but got you no clients).
Since 2001, Tad has been touring his workshops around Canada, the United States, Europe, and online. He brings refreshing and unorthodox ideas to conscious entrepreneurs and green businesses to help them grow without selling their souls. Instead of charging outrageous amounts, he started doing most of his events on a “pay what you can” basis. He is the author of sixteen books and workbooks on marketing.
Tad currently calls Edmonton, Canada, his home and has dedicated the rest of his days to preserving and fostering a more deeply respectful, beautiful, and human culture.Resources or websites mentioned in this episode:Mirasee

Tad Hargrave is a self-described hippie with a knack for marketing. He helps other hippies get more clients in ways that feel good to all involved, and he calls his decision to do pay-what-you-can the best thing he ever did for his business. Hosts Linda Claire Puig and Ari Iny talk with Tad about what can sound like a radical thing to do: allowing people to decide what they will pay you for your work. Tad shares real-world examples from his own business of what works well with this strategy...and what to avoid. In this episode, we discuss: Tad’s story of a workshop “gone wrong”—and the surprising offer strategy that emerged, earning him thousands in unexpected revenue without any selling at all * Why you do NOT have to choose between marketing that works and marketing that feels good * How to tweak and test your offer so that people actually want to pay more* for it * The most common misunderstanding and misapplication of pay-what-you-can (so you don’t dig yourself a financial grave). * And much more!
“Because they feel respected and not pushed, this natural generosity comes out and people just want to give and want to contribute.” —Tad Hargrave
Tad Hargrave is a hippie who developed a knack for marketing (and then learned to be a hippie again). He is a practitioner and proponent of “ethical marketing for uncertaintimes” and helps hippies get more clients in ways that feel good to all involved.

“So it's been really freeing and healing to to bring all of myself to my to my business, including my curvy body and physique.”– Meg Calvin

It was during her time in this role that she began coaching fellow ministerial leaders in professional sustainability with the International Network of Children’s Ministry. She was blown away by how many ministers had limiting beliefs around self-care, their talents, relationships, money and ambition. This led to her second book and to her first podcast with friend, Miranda Priddy, ‘The Listening Chair‘.
Meg has been featured on NPR, and has served as a workshop presenter at state-wide and national conferences. Her podcast, ‘An Uproarious Profundity: Unconventional Wisdom for the Spiritually-Attuned Go-Getter’ feels like trivia at a party with a nun, a comedian, and a publicist that sometimes gets interrupted by a guest whose toast is good, but a lil’ lengthy.
