On July 20, 1997 I made a choice to do something about my drinking and I would like to share my journey with you.

My issue was drinking however the desperation, heartache and pain are experienced by all and I‘m sure it feels the same no matter what your addiction.
I want to share my journey with you in hope that something I have experienced along my path will be of assistance to another who still suffers with any addiction.
Today, Deb and I have a conversation about different coping skills that we use to drive the bus through heavy traffic. All the while keeping it light with a little humor mixed in. We hope you enjoy our ramblings.

Today, Deb and I discuss the mindsets of a victim and a creator. We have all played the role of the victim and I still do to this day. However, we are also the creator of our lives and reality whether we realize it or not. When we choose to step into the role of the driver and not the passenger that's when our lives can truly change. We hope you enjoy!

In this episode Deb and I discuss our interpretation of the 12 Steps of Alcoholics Anonymous. We cover how we both experienced the steps in early recovery. For me the steps offered a guide on how to live a better life and to become a better human being. Deb on the other hand had a different interpretation and experience. We all experience things in different ways and through our own filters. My interpretation has changed over the years and throughout the course of our discussion we uncovered a few nuggets that we hope you'll enjoy.
I will always be eternally grateful for Alcoholics Anonymous.

My dad's passing would initiate a life filled with blame, no self-accountability, it was everyone else's fault, poor me. Who would have thought that such a tragic event could somehow turn into something so positive.

Hello all,
Well, I have finally completed my intro episode. It's been a long time coming since I first began to think about starting my podcast journey. This is a little bit about me and what I want to create as a result of this podcast. I would like to welcome you to my journey through this thing called life. The addiction was the easy part, the human part, well, that's another story. It's the story that I am going to share with you. A story on how I have managed to somehow not find it necessary to drink alcohol or do drugs since July 20, 1997, for which I am truly grateful. Shall we begin......
Currie B.
